“Incompetent front desk. Poorly trained staff. Extremely poor leadership. Good dentist and hygienist. ”

This review is coming from someone who used to run a dentist office of 5 dentist and 5 support staff. Incompetent is defined as “not having or showing the necessary skills to do something successfully. ” It is clear that Palm Coast Family Dentistry now has very poor leadership, takes no responsibility, and has poor staff training. If you want your teeth cleaned they can do that. But this will come at the expense of having an incompetent and untrained front office.

It seems as though every time I go here they try to charge me extra for one thing or another. My final straw came after they had been trying for months to charge me for something that my insurance had already paid directly to them. With the knowledge of being a previous dentist office manager, I asked the dentist office for a print out of my account so that I could show this to my insurance company. My insurance company sent me documentation showing that they paid the dentist office directly and in full.

When I came in to the dentist office to show them the proof that it was paid in full directly to them from the insurance company, the poorly trained and incompetent lady at the front desk said that she didn’t know how to do anything with it, and the person that did would call me back. I must say that her poor level of training and incompetence is not fully her fault - I would hope to think. This is more so a result of bad leadership and bad management. When she said that she did not know what to do and was not offering solutions, I had to give her clear instructions for next steps to resolve this issue. Review the insurance that was submitted. Look at what you inaccurately coded. Update your system to reflect the documented payment. Clear my account. Let me know when it is done. The poorly trained front deck worker then tried to schedule another cleaning without fixing the billing issue. At that point, I told her that I would not be a patient again at that office. After waiting two weeks (again bad leadership and management of customers), I called them back and they had not cleared the inaccurate billing from my file.

I switched over to this dentist when they were under different management. That previous leader/dentist knew how to train and equip their front office. The previous leader/dentist knew how to accurately code billing. The previous leader/dentist knew how to provide exceptional customer service. As well the previous leader/dentist knew how to clean teeth. The only thing this dentist does well is clean teeth. I should have taken heed of the shift in reviews and left a long time ago. I do hope that their dental leadership grows to take responsibility over their office, provide training, learn and teach billing, and provide quality customer service. They can be the quality office that we initially went to if they make the decision to grow their leadership and management capabilities.

Great staff and Dr. Trejo was knowledgeable and very informative. Took her time and was not in a hurry.

Crown replacement in about 2 hours! Seamless service from the front desk to dental tech and of course Dr. Trejos.
Best experience ever at the dentist!

Recently moved to Palm Coast and so glad I found this office. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Made great recommendations on how to keep my oral health care better. Dentist was patient and listened to any concerns I had. Will now be my forever Dentist for my whole family!

Being a new resident of Palm Coast, Dentist visits Can be uncomfortable at times. I was greeted by a wonderful staff. The dentist that I had she was great and thorough. In the assistant doing the x-rays today was very gentle and had a wonderful. Positive and supportive attitude. She was very attentive. I am extremely satisfied and will be returning.

They do not have an after hours phone # or instructions for patients who had complications post procedure. I’ve never seen a dental office not providing that crucial information. They also did not return my phone calls when I expressed concern.

The office manager is RUDE! Does not have customer service skills. I was at front desk and she came in and looked at me and said “are you done”. She had no idea why I was even there. RUDE! Maybe if they would get rid of her they would be able to keep staff. Instead of having a revolving door of new people.

Kyrra was pleasant and with a smike, Dr Trejos was very gentle and pleasant, joviamie was pleasant as well, marva helpful, Mat is new and was training at front desk but had a smile.
I was in last week for a cleaning and Michael was thorough and very pleasant. He was a new hygienist to me but made me feel comfortable.

I recently had a cleaning and X-rays where I was overcharged $103.00 in excess of my insurance co-pay of $72.80 by Palm Coast Family Dentistry. This is emblematic of excessive pricing. I've cut my losses with this dental office for that reason.

Had a Gold Onlay ️ come off of tooth number #20. Could not be re-cemented!
Was Totally amazed that Dr. Sandra Trejos and her staff got me in as a first time patient in 2 days & I walked out after a 2hr.appointment with a complete NEW permanent Porcelain/Ceramic Crown. NO 2 visits, NO sending impressions out to a lab. Done, Finished, and very economically. Very pleased with Staff and Practice.

Life savers! I was in so much pain and called as I’m new to the area. The front desk lady I think her name was Marva answered and was able to squeeze me in same day! Once I arrived I waited less than 30 minutes. I had a very nice gentleman named Mike check out my teeth and quickly found the problem tooth. They did X-rays and a cleaning all in house while the Dr was taking care of other clients. Dr. Trejos came in and went over everything and gave me a couple options. Ultimately I left with no more pain. I now have a new dentist that I would happily recommend to all my friends. The office was very clean and well ran. Thank you so much to the whole crew!

I, like most people, have pretty bad anxiety about going to the dentists office but let me tell you, this place will change your opinion! Making my initial appointment with Marva was super easy and she was so nice, it started everything off wonderfully. My hygienist was Michael and he was very thorough and explained everything as he was doing it rather than just aggressively scraping like most places I’ve been before. And finally Dr Tejos was so nice and professional, she even took time to talk to my kids and make them feel like they were welcome too! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars, and I’ll definitely be going back for my yearly checkups and cleanings.

Dr. Trejos and Contti are phenomenal! The staff is friendly and my kids actually enjoyed going, RARE. Jovanie was professional. I don't give many reviews, but I won't go anywhere else and they deserve a positive review. Thank you guys!

This place is not like before, 2 years ago I had my teeth treated there and I liked everything, but now it's just a terrible place. I came to the doctor’s appointment on time, but after 30 minutes of waiting, I asked the reception guy how long to wait, he told me in a very rude manner that he didn’t know and that the doctor could come either in 2 minutes or in 2 hours, Apparently, I annoyed him with questions as he played on his phone, so he said that if I don’t like something, I can leave. After 40 minutes of waiting, a young girl came and made me an x-ray, then some young guy went in regular clothes and, without changing gloves, climbed up to check my gums, where he was before and what he did, I don’t know, maybe he mapped a floors, but he definitely came in with gloves and without changing them got into my mouth! After another 10 minutes, the doctor came, she said that she was late, did not even apologize, also checked my teeth without changing gloves, said that I needed crowns and left, I went to pay for my visit to the doctor! That's just terrible! I don't think I want to go back to them again, I'm very disappointed! It's just a nightmare! That guy at the reception is very rude and not well-mannered, I'm afraid of him!
