I want to recognize the team at Palm Garden of Clearwater, they had a grand Fall Fest today. The residents, guests, families, and staff had a wonderful time. Everyone enjoyed the ambience from music, beautiful weather, and delicious food. The management team went above and beyond to make the event enjoyable.

I thought this Palm Garden Rehab was the cream of the crop until they started acting weird. They have a FEW GOOD PEOPLE that's it. Once they were closer to being released.it was game over. The Social Worker threw her arms up in the air and told me GOOGLE IT to find a 24/7 nursing home for my dad. No list of anything to go on. One nurse on evening duty refused to give my dad his medication, because she claimed he would fall, but kept telling him stay up and go with her (even though he was almost 99 yrs old an wanted to sleep. Unreal for sure! Then when my dad was getting picked up to transfer EVERYONE disappeared! No one to help to gather his belongings. I called in advance and spoke to Michelle one of the Social Workers. She told me everyone was aware of my dad leaving even laundry. Well get to the new place and his dentures were not there! I called and spoke to Kathy a supervisor only to find out the Dentures were in a drinking cup with a straw in it?
she told me it was marked on the cup. There was nothing on the cup. More clothes were there as well. Do not put your loved one there! They want the most of your Medicare and then OUT YOU GO! Or they want you to pay $500 a day private pay. They told me if my dad wasn't gone by 12 midnight I would owe $500.

Do not send your loved ones here. Terrible care from the nursing staff. Bordering on elder abuse. Nursing staff would not answer call bells, no care to control her pain (in rehab after hip fracture) she would need to call us to call the nurse on phone to get nurse to go in to help. Told my competent family member to poop in her depends. She already had a urinary tract infection and now was being told to mix diarrhea in to the mix since they didn’t have time to put her on a bedpan or get her to bedside commode. Scratched her and made her bleed while cleaning up after this. We moved her after a week of this torture and now she has a kidney injury from new infection. Absolutely terrible. Formal complaint being placed.

My stay here has been very nice. The employees/staff have been excellent. The food was okay. My needs were always tended to in a timely manner. The facility is very clean and taken care of. I would highly recommend it to anybody, who needs rehab and health care. I also liked how you welcome pets here. Thank you Jim Towers 207

One of the biggest hurdles in life to deal with is the future care for our loved ones. The worry of having them reside without taking care of them yourself and making sure they are safe.
I originally had my father in a facility that I had to take him out of due to cleanliness and staff issues.
With that being said, I did a blind walk into Palm Gardens and was immediately given a tour of the facility without hesitation. I was so happy with the facility and the staff during that visit especially Director Angie, who I met with during the walk through. Angie answered all of my questions and made the experience very pleasant. The building is very clean and truly had a home feeling.
Now every day I look forward to walking into Palm Gardens. First being greeted by Miss Bailey at the front desk and walking the through the halls with happy staff members. I love to visit my father and hear how happy he is with the nurses, doctors, PTOT staff, and other Palm Gardens residents.
I highly recommend Palm Gardens for a family member and could not be happier. My father is being well taken care of and enjoys being there.

This is a top-notch place. The staff are kind, caring, and very professional. One staff member in particular, Kaycee Loucka, was very helpful in answer my questions and giving me a thorough understanding of options available at Palm Gardens. I highly recommend this place for anyone and their loved ones.

My father recently stayed at Palm Garden of Clearwater on multiple occasions after a few strokes. I have to say, the back office/management were extremely responsive to any needs we had that were brought up to them. On a couple of occasions there were issues we wanted to get resolved but once it was brought up to the office staff, the issues were promptly rectified. Furthermore, they went above and beyond on a few occasions even after my father was discharged and returned home. The nurses were great as well, albeit overworked. One even went through training us on programming and use of a Kangaroo pump so that my mom and I could do it on our own when he returned home. She showed great patience while going through something my mother and I were never expecting to do. Reception was always friendly as well.

Most of the people in the facility are awesome. Like any other facility, you will run into staff that does not mesh well with your personality or needs but rest assured, if it's brought up to management, they work hard to find a solution to your needs. This place is top-notch and I highly recommend it to anyone who is in need of this type of facility.

I want to also take this time to thank everyone in the facility personally. You guys really helped us with the care of my dad and I can't thank you enough for the care you showed my dad, as well as my mom and I. God bless you for everything you do! Keep up the good work and know that there are people who appreciate what you do.

I have been coming to Palm Gardens of Clearwater and would like to share that this is a wonderful facility. Their front door greeting staff is just kind and lovely. Their nursing staff has been attentive to my needs and always available. The nurse Lauren is just kind, careening and professional. She has helped me on many occasions and always had a smile on her face. With that type of nursing skills and care, she definitely needs a raise or a promotion! The facility is overall clean, inviting and neatly kept. Their PT team has a personal touch to every patient. I definitely recommend this facility if you are looking for a place for your loved ones. This is the place for a compassionate and professional care, this is the place you want them to be!

Physical therapy was wonderful Glenn is an excellent physical therapist. The CNA's I feel are very overworked their patient. Load is way too heavy which limits the attention they should be providing to the patients. The nurses were great and a special recognition to Angela a very caring Nurse. I have to mention that dietary leaves a lot to be desired. Overall I feel the care I got at palm garden Of clearater Was very good but you need to be proactive in your care.

I had several comments/concerns from my MIL stay at palm garden. First of all brenda on B wing was by far the best nurse she had. Also the unit manager of B wing is good. The rest were not so great. Im sure they are understaffed but 30 minutes to 1 hr to answer her call light EACH time is ridiculous. Pretty much every night she would call me at some point saying her light had been on at least 30 minutes and she couldnt hold it any longer. And i would call the nurses station so someone would answer her.by far the most frustrating part was discharge. I think Kathryn was good, but i think she is overworked.my MIL needed to be discharged on oxygen. After a week at the rehab we were SO ready for her to go home. I talked to kathryn, she explained oxygen takes the longest to set up. I said ok. The following wednesday there was STILL no progress on the O2. (Or wheelchair and commode for that matter). I called an oxygen company in tarpon springs just to ask their normal turn around and it was 24 hours. So i spoke to kathryn, told her who i talked to, she said the company she was working with kept having issues with the paperwork. Well turns out she changed companies that day to the one i had found and the next day my MIL was discharged. It took 1 WEEK to get her out after i said i wanted discharge. I find it hard to believe its that uncommon for her to discharge people on home oxygen.and ridiculous that I had to find a company myself after waiting 6 days.the whole time my MIL was miserable from the slow call light response.i felt like if they know oxygen takes so long they should start that process on ADMISSION. I think if you have to go a rehab this is prolly a better one.which isnt saying much.
