Palmera Apartments, Doral FL

So far my experience here has been amazing. Most importantly, Mariana has made us feel welcomed. She is so giving, so open, so energetic. Her energy is driving. Thanks to her we were able to find our perfect home. She deserves a raise please. I moved in and till this day she helps me out a lot. She is very understanding and goes above and beyond

Overall the apartment building is always clean, very modern. I passed on a lot of other places that were more expensive and "modern", this place brings in nature, beauty, calmness. It had my heart and it still does. The communication with the staff is great. Please consider it

My update after 3 years of living here. It’s been decent however the fire alarms constantly going off every now and then is kinda irritating especially in the morning when I’m sleep deprived from working night shifts. The place is always clean and well kept up with. They’re always vacuuming the hallways. The neighbors who live here is kind of a hit or miss but it’s like that pretty much almost anywhere you go with the same budget. Doral police are responsive and attentive when needed here. Walls are thin in the rooms, that’s a structural issue. Overall to me it’s a 3.5/5 to 4/5 stars. Nothing specifically has given me major issues to push me to move out so far.

For the future residents just to let you know. You are just paying for the use of the apartment, “amenities” are private, so if you want to use amenities and you have more of two guests you have to PAY $500USD NO REFUNDABLE, no matter if is a week day that NOBODY uses it and you need just for 1-2 hours just to sing happy birthday you can’t use it.
In conclusion before renting READ the contract they don’t say it.

My husband and I made an appointment to see apartments in Palmera on Saturday at 2PM. We arrived and it was a complete mission to enter the building by calling the Leasing office multiple times and although there was someone in the office, NO ONE opened the door. When we managed to enter, a woman was sitting on the right side of the office, to whom we told that we had an appointment. Without even asking our names, she told us that our appointment was with Mariana (I don't know who Mariana is and I never made an appointment with her, I made it directly from her website) and that she was not working and that she would COME BACK ANOTHER DAY. We asked him if there was a way we could see the apartments and he told us that there were 2 more people taking a tour, but no.

1. She is -crushed- in her very comfortable chair to stand up and help us, give us the tour or even tell us to wait while another tour finished.

2. My husband and I work from Monday to Friday. Our only day to see the apartment was at the appointment time. THAT'S WHY WE MADE THE APPOINTMENT.

3. If you do not have anyone to attend on Saturdays, do not set the option for appointments on Saturdays. At least have respect for people's time. We drove 40 minutes to see that place.

4. Do yourself a favor and fire that lady. No one wants to go rent and have to deal with a lazy, unfriendly person.

The experience, TERRIBLE.

I helped my daughter rent an apartment at Palmera which she has been at for almost 2 years now, and have had nothing but a great experience. The staff is wonderful: Harold, Mariana, Mariela, Jose etc. They have helped us out with anything and everything we have needed. The facilities are all well kept and in good shape. The residents are very friendly and the staff is professional. If you are looking for a new apartment in a great location look no further!

Do not rent here! They had my car towed from the building. It was charging. Police was involved. It was an unlawful tow. Towing company said the leasing office requested it. I waited physically 2 hours at the leasing office to talk to the manager and he would not see me. He never spoke to me, even when he was not in meetings. I never got an answer on why my vehicle was towed. Sign at the front says welcome home, this place is the last place that will feel like home. Also, if you work 9-5 and have a pet forget getting any maintenance service because they only work 9-5 and will not go into your building with a pet. My closet light has never been on since I moved and can’t get it fixed.

Lived at Palmera for roughly 2 yrs.
PRO's:
- Mariana is hands down the BEST leasing agent on property. If you do decide to call Palmera your home, she is so sweet and professional to work with. I have nothing but great things to say about her. Honestly, she is the MAIN reason we stayed on property for so long.
- Community is great! Cops are always around and quick to respond if there's any issues.
- Management sends at least 3 emails a week detailing and reminding residents of the community rules. To me this was a bit excessive, but it is what it is.
Cons:
- Excessive amounts of emails from property management about rent.
- Outside of Mariana, the office personnal didn't seem super welcoming.
- Rent is fairly expensive for what you get out of the apt. Ex.the carpet in the units could be replaced. We lived in 2 different units and both seemed a bit dingy for the amount of rent being paid on the units.

Went to visit a friend in the building and ended up meeting the maintenance supervisor Jose. He answered all my questions and gave me a small tour. The building is well kept and looks great.a place to consider for living.

Amazing experience staying over while visiting my friend, I was cooking and the dishwasher was not working, yet maintenance came in within 30 minutes and fixed the problem. Ebrik was fast and fantastic work. I would consider these apartments when moving to Miami next year.

I had the pleasure of touring the beautiful Palmera at Doral & it didn’t disappoint. First of all the staff are very friendly & cordial. Yahoska was very helpful & accommodating to my schedule to give me a tour of the property. The place it beautiful with plenty of amenities to entertain friends when they visit or just relax. The apartments are very spacious with lots of floor plans to meet anyone’s budget & they are centrally located. I would recommend this property to anyone who likes luxury.

Really enjoyed Palmera, the management team was helpful, professional and informative. The property is nicely kept, has great amenities and in a great location.

I moved in with my elderly mother recently. The first floor is amazing, high ceilings, easy parking access for handicaps, heated pool, we feel like we are in a resort. Thank you Mariela and Mariana for helping us.

Amazing place, very attentive staff had the pleasure to meet one of their staff member from maintenance (Jose) who is the maintenance supervisor very nice and extremely helpful person.

The apartments are so well kept. Beautiful property. The management team was extremely pleasant and very helpful. Highly recommend!

I have lived in at least 5 rental communities in Doral… this is nice, but they charge you a monthly fee for amenities and then if you want to use them. You have to pay extra, and rent them for a very short amount of time and high cost. It feels like robbery. No other rental does this that I know of, really sucks. Beside that everything is average

It is a nightmare to live there, the manager Harold thinks he is the owner, security guard and all the positions he assumes, that looks like a prison, don't even think about renting there
