Panda Restaurant reviews
7Extremely underwhelming. Three total shrimp and a shrimp fried rice completely under seasoned I had been warned by locals about it but I wanted to find out for myself. It was literally three shrimp rice and a few chunks of onion.
The most amazing Chinese food I've had in a while. I've consistently had standout experiences at this restaurant for many years. Everything is cooked well and fresh. The portions are huge for the value and the owners are the most pleasant people. As someone who's cooked at multiple 3-star Michelin restaurants, sometimes it's not about fancy ingredients or an exclusive price. Just about putting heart warming food on the plate at a price point that can be indulged every week.
Haven't actually been here for a while, but this is one of the best Chinese places near me in Naples. Being from Chicago, I grew up totally spoiled by a Chinese place up there, and this place is as close to that as I've found. Tough to do.
This place is the best in Naples, hands down! They are super careful and clean with the COVID stuff, and I totally trust them. The vegetables they use are fresh, not frozen. I ALWAYS get the general Tsao tofu and when my friends try it they are like WHAT? ! And then they never go anywhere else. I ask for it extra crispy and it always is. Then we get veg lomein (sp?) noodles & fried spring roles. Literally every time it’s the same, and every time it’s freaking amazing. Just enough spicy, sweet and crunchy! I even put their key tag on my key ring. The ONLY problem with this place is that if I ate here all the time I would have to buy new clothes because I can’t leave anything to waste.
First, the positives - it’s cheap and fast. The food was hot, the service good. One can swap out brown rice for white without paying $$. The hot and sour soup, however, was just bad. Tasted of vinegar and pepper and not much else. The egg drop wanton soup was also very bland, and lacking in chicken (or any kind of) flavor. The shrimp toast was a greasy fried blob also with no flavor. The Szechwan chicken was ok, but not good enough, or cheap enough to entice us back.
Favorite Chinese restaurant in Naples. Nothing has every disappointed.
