I just want to take the time to thank the entire staff at Paradise Memorial Funeral Home. My grandmothers Homegoing service was amazing. They did an outstanding job and exceeded our expectations from the moment we started this tough process. My family and I will appreciate that forever. We can not thank you and your team enough. Clean, professional, loving, caring, and the list goes on.

Super professional, every detail was perfect for my sister's viewing, if you want a place that's family oriented and caring this is where to you, the staff was very nice and professional. My family and I were very satisfied with their services.

I've had to render their services several times since 2005. They are professional and respectful in every way. Considering the reason for their service, it was easy and comfortable working with them.

My brother passed and because I had heard good reviews I decided to go with Paradise. I was so disappointed beyond words. Losing my brother was hard enough but dealing with a funeral home that was so unsympathetic and unprofessional made things even worse. When ever we wanted to sit down to discuss the details they wrote always too busy. They would always say they will call us back but never would. This put so much stress on my mom and broke my heart to see her so upset. They didn't pass out our obituaries. They also never read the the cards for the floral arrangements. The police escorts lead my family half way to the burial site and then took off. Everyone in my family started calling my mom and I because they didn't know where to go. My family kept asking why didn't we use Jay funeral. Also 2 day before the actual viewing (which we still didn't know the time of) we asked about the tent and was told that their were 5 other families that they are dealing with and the person that does the tent cant really come out because of the rain and that it was complimentary anyway. It was horrible. We just kept being told they were busy with other families.

I attended a funeral hosted by this funeral home and I found them to be very unprofessional in communicating with the funeral director. As we waited for the final burial at the site, a funeral director could not be located or found and the one that showed up was extremely rude and unsympathetic.

I have not personally had the honor or privilege to have to visit Paradise Memorial Funeral Home. But I do know a little about the owner, Andre Dawson. Allow me to say that if Andre handles THIS business with the same care and compassion as he had in his previous career, then Andre. I sincerely hope that the wind is ALWAYS blowing out for you! For those of you who don't know this man; he signed a BLANK contract with NO MONEY yet attached to it in 1987 to play for my beloved Chicago Cubs. He needed to get his knees on natural grass of Wrigley Field instead of the artificial turf at Olympic Stadium in Montreal while he was still young enough to follow his passion for the game of baseball and provide for the future of his family. So all he did that year was earn the Most Valuable Player Award for a team that would finish last in their division, hit 49 home runs (many even when the wind WASN'T blowing out) and drove in a ridiculous amount of runs for his Cubs. Hawk, you were always an exciting player to watch; whether you were hitting buildings across Waveland Avenue with baseballs or throwing out another player at the plate from deep right field. I have been a funeral director for 35 years and know what kind of man it takes to do what you do today. May God bless you, your family, and every single one of your employees.
