Paramount Water Sports & Jet Ski Rental, Tampa FL

I came from out of town with my boyfriend and this experience was definitely worth the money. Our tour guide Anthony was a gem. He was professional but also very personable. Highly recommend asking for Anthony as your tour guide. We will definitely be coming back if we’re in the tampa area again.

I would start by saying I would love to rate this 5 stars for fun and neat downtown experience but I think the company has some areas to work on which brought it down to a 3.
Booking was easy, your credit card holds the reservation but you actually pay after your ride.
All of the confirmation and website information said to be there 30 minutes before your time or you are late. Parking and the dock directions were easy to find and we arrived at 10: 30 for our 11: 00 appointment and no one was there. We used the restroom and came back and still nobody around. At 10: 50 I called and got a voicemail so I texted saying we were there and waiting and didn't get a response. At like 10: 56 a few young men rolled in and didn't even address us or say anything about being late. It seemed very unorganized and they kept helping walk ins and addressing them before getting us set and we had a reservation. After filling out the waivers and getting everything set we finally took off at 11: 30. We still got our 90 minutes but I'm glad we didn't have anywhere to be afterwards since we were so behind in our time and it wasn't our fault.
The ride was super fun and great until we got stuck and our guide was nowhere to be found. He took us to an area where we could free ride and gave us boundaries and a time to meet again. My husband and I got stuck in shallow water that he didn't warn us about. We waited a few minutes and I waived my hands for him to help us but I couldn't see him anywhere. We got off and tried pushing but those jetskis are heavy. I had my phone so I called the number and told them we were stuck and they walkied our guide to come help us. Minutes later he finally came and we were almost unstuck at that point. I don't know what he was doing but not paying attention was not very safe and we should have had help way before we did. The rest of the ride was great but I noticed the guide on his phone a lot.
We still enjoyed our time but I wouldn't book with this company again after our experience checking in and getting stuck, it just didn't seem very professional.

We were very lucky to have Paxton. Polite. He was professional and knowledgeable. He answered our questions and showed patience with us since it was our first time. Would definitely recommend this outing with friends and family. He was even nice enough to take our fam photo. Thank you Paxton

I highly recommend this company! Jet skis were clean and up to par! Our instructor was very cool and gave simple easy directions. Took pictures of us at the end of our time as well. We enjoyed ourselves so much, definitely plan to book again!

10/10 experience. Easy and fun… James was an awesome guide and gave us a ton of freedom to rip it… I’ll be back

Came to Tampa from out of state and don’t know much about jetskis or the Tampa water. Ended up booking the Guided Tour as it stood out to me the most on the website. I did have to do the boaters course but didn’t take too long and it gave me a little bit of knowledge about a jetski. My Guide Anthony was super helpful and even let me get off at one of the islands in tampa which is known as some kind of party island which was super cool. I booked in the morning because I was told by one of the guys on the dock it’s a smoother ride. Finished it with a downtown river ride and got cool pics thanks to the guide. 10/10 stars definitely recommend.

Great experience, definitely worth the price tag. Guys running it are very nice but could communicate upon arrival a bit better. Texts and phone calls did go unanswered upon arrival at the dock.

Be very mindful about bumping/damages, they take that very seriously. Safety is a priority too.

A blast to ride these jet ski's. Very new and updated, go up to about 45 mph. Super fun riding them and will be back when I return to Tampa.

Paramount Watersports is definitely a MUST when you’re in Tampa! Overall 10 star experience! We were able to book our excursion with ease online…when our group arrived at the dock near American Social, we were greeted by a very friendly crew and a real sweet fleet! Our tour guide Jack was very professional, knowledgeable and patient. He offered us clear instructions, made us feel welcome and comfortable.
I will admit he calmed my nerves in a caring manner when I had a moment of foolish fear, lol. Jack made fun and safety a priority…he captured great pictures of us on the bay, a real highlight of our trip! Would definitely do it again! Bravo, Paramount Watersports!

My girlfriend and I went to a tampa get away for our anniversary and this sounded fun so i tried it out, Mike was our instructor and he did a great job teaching us and let us have alot of fun! Thank you!

Tampa Waterspots was the best jet ski experience! They were quick, courteous, and got straight to business. The lady at the stand was fantastic, Tyler our guide was helpful for those who have never driven jet skis. The experience was amazing!

We had an awesome experience. 4 brand new skis, our guide (Jake) was very friendly and helpful, and it's just such a beautiful location. Parking was very easy in the underground garage ($10/hr not included in price). They sent us an email with easy to follow directions. I would highly recommend. Just make sure to read all requirements and directions provided on their website.

This was our first time renting jet skis and the experience was not horrible; however, I must say the overall experience was not great. I think personnel need to focus more on customer service and ensuring the experience is memorable opposed to overcharging the customer. I gave this one star because poor customer service due to the lack of effective communication can be detrimental to your business.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Horrible experience. They require you to take an hour long exam that has nothing to do with a jet ski. Not a single question was directly about a jet ski. The test costs $10 per person on top of the $125 per person jet ski rental. I was also told other information in person which was not sent in the original email. Also none of the links in the email I was sent worked. Attendant was very vague with instructions and was NOT friendly at all. Was told they were extremely popular and being punctual was important and no one was there except myself and my partner. Charged me a $75 cancellation fee while I was still finishing the exam on my phone so I know he had no intention of letting us ride because he kept reminding me that we weren’t allowed to ride in the rain with the dark clouds approaching. The entire business seems like a scam to make a minimum of $75 off of you when the test is IMPOSSIBLE to pass. I arrived 15 minutes earlier (at 2: 45 for a 3: 00) and was told everything in person. Attendants are NOT friendly or helpful and I believe they do or say whatever knowing we are tourists and can’t do anything about it. 0 stars!

We had so much fun! The guides took us to different islands and even took great pictures of my friends and family! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Tampa. Will definitely ride again the next time I’m in town.

Great service, locker for your personal items, waterproof compartment on jetskis for phones, great speed, challenging waves, safe environment, great tour-service, we’ll definitely do it again but with 2 jetskis, and of course the tour that allows us to feel safe and focus on the fun part.

Cool experience with some buddies. Personally had Noah as our tour guide and it was a great time. Took us to a cool island and through the city.

Was about to rent jet skis with 3 of my friends this morning. We tried asking the guy on duty some general questions… and he just kept telling us to look at the website. Had zero interest in helping/even talking to us seemed like. So we left

Amazing experience and will definitely be doing it again. James was amazing, he provide instructions and had taken us to the place where you jet ski along the bay shore as well as Davis island. Would highly recommend it

My friend and I were in tampa for Thursday night football and on Friday had nothing to do. Luckily these guys had an opening for us and boy did the experience exceed our expectations. If you're in tampa and love a good thrill, go jet ski with these guys!
