Park Avenue Medical - DaVita Medical Group / Optum Primary Care, Apopka FL

Even though this office has been closed to the public for over 5 months now they are still unorganized. I have medical conditions what I need to see a doctor in person and cannot do so with this office. Other Optum offices are open for people to come in. Do not understand why this office thinks they are so special. The lady on the phone told me today we will decide if you can come in and speak to a triage nurse. I need a doctor to listen to my lungs and they cannot do that over telephone.

Long waits, incorrect billing and "get you in get you out" doctors. PLUS no one ever answers the phone and IF they do they refer you to their portal, which NEVER works.

I sent over a form to be filled out by my doctor so I could get eye surgery
I sent and they never got form so eye doctor sent and they said they did not get. After I got upset they found it. Now they telll me I have to see the doctor who I “talked” to in a phone apt a month ago. They also say I have to get a ekg which I had this year. I have to cancel surgery scheduled for six weeks because doctor can’t see me for weeks. This office is beyond unorganized

I have been a patient here for years. Ive taken the same meds for the same amount of years. Today i was told that Dr. Shaw wont fill one medication because of another medication i take.the crazy part of this is that Dr. Shaw has perscribed both medications for as long as ive been a patient there. Kelly is AMAZING! However due to Dr. Shaw's lack of concern and knowledge of my history with him and the office i will be finding another doctor.

I've been a patient here for over 20 years. Since it turned into a DaVita practice, I'm sad to say there are some big issues. The providers are good, but there is absolutely NO WAY to get through to them via phone. Recently, I was sick and tried calling for an entire week! - 6 to 7 times a day, and holding anywhere from 46 to 104 minutes! And NO ONE EVER answered the phone. My husband is a patient here, too, and has the same issue with not being able to get anyone to pick up the phone. A few months back, I just gave up calling, & drove over to the office & went in, in person, to get an appt for him. This has been especially bad in the last year to two years. Patients should have reasonable and timely telephone access to their provider's office and to staff there. I called DaVita Corporate offices in Orlando and in St. Petersburg to complain, and wouldn't you know it - no way to speak to a real person. You can only leave a message and your call is not returned.

5 stars for the doctors, 1 Star for the front desk staff. I see Dr. Rivera and she is wonderful, always provides excellent care. The front desk staff seem like they don’t want to be there. They are short with patients and often rude for no reason. Plan on being on hold for over half an hour before speaking to anyone if you call them

I have been using DaVita Medical group for over 2 yrs and I'm very happy with their service. My PCP is Sonal Davie to whom I give an A+ for her very attentive diagnosis and aggressive treatment plans. She takes her time and explain the best solutions to treat my medical issues. Since I started using Dr. Davie I'm feeling more active and pain free. In addition the staff is always friendly and makes me feel welcomed.

My wife and I have been going to Park Avenue Medical Center since 2000 and our overall experience has been great. My wife uses Dr. Perez and I use Dr. Lemons. I would definitely recommend these doctors.

My family and I have been going to this practice for over 10 years now and have had nothing but a great experience with them. We never wait more than 10 minutes for our appointments, our doctors (My husband sees Dr. Perez and my son's and myself see Kelly) are very attentive to our questions, needs, and always appear to be genuinely concerned about our overall health. Getting prescriptions filled and getting referrals have NEVER been a problem. Not quite sure why people have complained about wait times cause over 10 years going and have never encountered this problem. We all know that offices as do people have their "off days" and this should be considered. We NEED to leave reviews whether you have a great experience or bad experience cause I am POSITIVE that Park Avenue Medical would have a higher rating. One they truly deserve. Don't always go off of reviews cause sometimes only the people with one bad experience leaves a review and not the possible several great experiences that have. My only little complaint is that the ladies in the front desk could be a tad more amicable and attentive. Other than that.it is a great practice!

My experience is almost always negative until I see a physician. The physicians are very nice knowledgeable and polite but The ancillary staff is abrupt short and rude. I have been a patient for 3 years on and off I just hate shopping for another physician

My experience at DaVita Medical Group was very positive. I walked in without an appointment because of an eye problem and was treated within a very short time. Dr. Cook gave me excellent treatment. I'm considering Davita as my primary care provider now.

Take your breakfast, lunch and dinner with you. Typical people herder's. Staff seemed ok, just overbooked.

The wait time is unbelievable. Make sure to show up 20 to 30 minutes past your appointment time and you still will wait an additional 20 or so minutes. The front desk is so unorganized and they dont seem very happy. The doctors are good but the growth of the area has killed this office. The only reason I gave 1 star because I had to give a star. I would not have given one for them. Very disappointed

Excellent, fast service. I always have an appointment and don't have to wait more than 10 minutes. On the two times I used the walk-in service times, I was still taken in under 15 minutes. The reception desk folks are very nice and everything appears to be well run. I see a physician there regularly for my diabetes, high blood pressure and yearly physicals. I think he is awesome. He listens to me and explains everything. A+ office.

Most recently I was told they needed my "specialist's" notes before a referral could be sent.

I have seen this specialist before Park Ave Medical became my primary physician; I am taking prescriptions prescribed by this specialist and have discussed them with my primary physician Dr Rivera.

After more than a weeks notice they are withholding my referral to receive "notes" that Courtney said no one at Park Ave Medical will even look at.amazing!
