This is the LOUDEST library I’ve ever stepped in. A terrible environment for trying to work quietly. The staff speak like they’re trying to talk over a crowd. No respect for other people trying to work and focus in a quiet environment. Trying study in the middle of a construction site would be better than here

I took my grandson to the Parkland Library. It is a great library. I was told at the main circulation desk to go to the children wing and show my Broward county teacher card since I’m not a Parkland resident. At the children’s desk Debbie told me I couldn’t have a card because I don’t live in Parkland. I then explained to her what the lady at the main desk and told me that because I teach in Parkland I could get a card. All I wanted was a few books for my grandson. When she was overridden by her boss, she threw the pen at me the slid the card across the counter at me with no words. I was not impressed with her customer service.
However, our experience ended up on a better note. Jan helped us pick out some perfect fit books for Parker. She was as helpful and sweet as she could be.

If I could give this library zero stars I would. The people that work inside the library are extremely loud, and has no consideration for the people that are trying to work in a quiet environment. They all speak like they are in a book club just loud and does not and clearly does not follow their own rules that are implemented. Worst library ever.

Small library with no real privacy. No where to really plug in laptop for privacy.no napkins in the bathroom. No trashcans on the floor. Super small. Wow. I thought parkland would've been better. Please visit 1501 Spanish River Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33431 or 400 NW 2nd Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33432 to get a feeling for a REAL library!

Parkland Public Library was wonderful. Staff was welcoming and friendly. The facilities are beautiful. Everyone has a space there - adults, teens, children. There are plenty of tables to work at, many comfortable chairs and a lovely outdoor area. They have activities for all ages throughout the month. And feature local artists each month in their art display. Clean well lit bathrooms. Drop by and say hello to the friendly and helpful staff.

LOUD. They have no private area where you can study/work. Although they have signs posted all through out the library to refrain from using cell phones, people still do and the librarians do nothing to enforce the rule. Its absolutely impossible to concentrate which is odd for a library setting, no? Old furnishings straight out of 1990, and there is 0 technology. For the amount of money we pay in taxes, this library is an absolute joke. I also find it inappropriate for the librarians to be eating at the front desk ESPECIALLY when there are signs posted all around the building theres NO EATING allowed. You have rules in place to create a comfortable, organized, and clean environment for EVERYONE to enjoy. The people of Parkland deserve better.
