My mother was admitted for severe dehydration and an infection, she was well taken care of by the cna’s and nurses, the ER has some issues with communication to the hospital for her to her room, and oral medication intake. It all eventually got resolved so I’m not going to bad mouth the experience. I’d like to give a shout out to a few staff members that made it a 5 star review. First, Leti, my mothers CNA was amazing and caring and went the extra mile, thank you so much! You are great at what you do! Thanks to the Speech Therapist Noelle, she was the recipient of my mom not being so nice as she was doing her job, thank you to the ladies that did her cat scan downstairs, very sweet and professional. Also her OT and PT were so nice as well. Thanks again to the staff.

Currently a patient. When I walked into the emergency room I was greeted. The consultation nurse seen me shortly. Very pleasant even shared a laugh. After that the triage nurse was very informative of what to expect in my treatment options and the wait. Once I seen the doctor he explained how I would be treated in depth. An employee came into the waiting room and asked everyone if we wanted a blanket. I have no complaints about the staff. I like the different drawings

This seems like a small ER dept. There isn’t a lot of rooms and certain rooms have certain equipment. I was moved around a bit but the staff was very apologetic. I needed a bed to be treated so I was sent back to the waiting room to free up the room and wait on a room that has a bed. Long wait. Been here 3 hours still waiting

I would come here again if I found myself in the area and in need of medical attention.

Sharon Rose, one of the phlebotomists, is a definite asset for Parrish. I've had blood drawn monthly for 2 years at another facility due to my medical condition. Sharon was able to draw my blood when others had trouble. Others consider me as a hard stick.

To be short: in the state known as “God’s waiting room” this singular place is hell on earth.

My Uncle was sent here due to a broken hip, He also had a giant abnormal lump riding up his whole leg which appeared at the time he broke his hip - important note because not a single staff member seemed to notice it during this ordeal. So, when they EVENTUALLY managed to actually have a single healthcare professional look at him, while he screamed and hollered in pain, the doctor that finally decided to come down claimed she already saw him and had already ordered orders for him, which was a blatant LIE. After some 2-3 hours they finally sent him for an X-ray before sending him to surgery. They claimed it would be a 2 hour operation but it took longer than 10. Why? Because when they finally began operating they noticed that his leg had been SPLIT IN HALF. The lump on his leg was his bones in twain. They somehow managed to miss that through their examination and somehow through their X-ray. Since they couldn’t see such an obvious injury they were under prepared to deal with it. So, they basically just tied his split femur with string and sent him to the ICU. There they mutilated him. Literally.

Their negligence and malpractice is so horrendous that upon giving him a catheter and setting pillows between his joints (knees and ankles) they forcefully shoved so hard these pillows into his pelvis, for some reason, that it RUPTERED. HIS. GENITALS. And I swear to god the doctor that came to aid was trying to rip whatever he had left off with her bare hands.

Don’t even get me started on the in-service hospice they ‘provide’: nothing but careless, apathetic lay abouts that would do nothing but bellow out in horrendous, obnoxious laughter from the comedy movie they were watching together while ten feet away my uncle and aunt lay together while he took his last breath.

These people are vile. This place is abhorrent. It needs to be burnt to the ground so literally anyone else could take its place. Hell, put a cemetery where it once was since all the people they killed will need a place to roam. I would sooner trust a back alley homeless man as a physician than these faux-license holding cretins. If youve worked here during this time and are part of those I alluded to then you deserve jail time. If you’re currently working here then you need to resign and find another profession. I’d imagine the prison industrial complex would love to have you medieval-like torturers in their ranks.

Remember, John Perish Hospital is where you send people to Just Perish.

OH also, they have a ‘no photography’ rule which I find incredibly suspicious. Why wouldn’t you want me to have pictures of my own family member in their own private room? Afraid I’ll capture something incriminating?

I came with excruciating pain in my ovary and was promised numerous tests and answers. After 5 hrs, blood work and a cat scan (none of the other promised tests were done) and a very arrogant/unsympathetic doctor later, I am sent home w ibuprofen and a referral to a doctor that I'll be able to see within the next week. Despite leaving in extreme amounts of pain and having to live through it until the referral can hopefully help. I feel very let down and defeated. I am in so much pain, I don't know how to even make it through the next 24 hours and no one cares. Let alone how filthy the waiting room/patient room both were or how unprofessional the staff was. The cussing, the blatant flirting and comments being made with no regard to the children that lay behind the curtains or anyone else for that matter. It saddens me that this is the closest hospital to me. Not reliable at all. But who cares, right? It'll continue on as it has for years, smh.

You know it's bad in waitng room packed and be prepared to wait 9 hours or more as we did.lady couldnt breathe and we watched her gasp for air for 3 hours before she was seen.but when you go to other hospitals you realize how bad Parish really is. The attendants do nothing but use cell phones for personal use eat and gossip. 3 at the desk doing literally nothing. Can't answer questions or anything.

Went in for a knee injury. We are new to the area and I was hesitate about being treated by the ER at Parrish because looking at reviews, it was not the best. I tend to disagree. I went in on Labor Day. We were in and out in less than 3 hours. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Both the guard and the triage nurse were very attentive and made sure I was comfortable. I didn't have to wait long before I was taken back. My husband and I were approached by a nurse and someone from admitting. Both were very professional and extremely nice. They did tell us their names and asked ours made sure I was comfortable etc but to be honest, I don't remember their names. The doctor was with me within a few minutes. Every one that we were in contact with made sure to explain what they were doing, made sure that I understood, made sure that I did or did not have questions, explained treatment and follow up. I was even taught to use crutches before leaving. Hopefully I don't have to return ever, but if need be, I wouldn't hesitate again. Everyone was very professional, extremely nice and caring and I felt very well taken care of.

Their emergency room triage chairs are really uncomfortable. I had to sit in one for 6 hours and I couldn't get comfortable and couldn't take a good nap. I felt like I received quality care and met very informed staff & doctors.

My husband went there with chest pains they immediately ran test and found his heart valve was leaking 2 blockages and afib while doing the heart scan his heart went into afib they had to shock him twice. I was alone at the waiting room crying when they told me this don’t know his name but one of them gave me me a big hug and said why are you crying he’s gonna be a new man after he goes to advent hospital in Orlando. He was there two weeks it was rough weeks seeing my hubby hooked up to all those machines. They replaced the valve he had a triple bypass I’m so thankful for our daughters and grandkids coming from Maryland to help us. Just want to thank them and God I still have my husband he’s doing great almost lost him it’s amazing what these doctors surgeons and nurses can do.

I came to Parrish with chest discomfort and felt very weak. Security came out and put me in a wheelchair and immediately brought me back to the ER. Within seconds, they had my EKG and told me I was in afib. The doctor carefully explained that I was going to be shocked and how it would feel. The staff was incredibly attentive and helping me to feel comfortable and secure as well as my wife who was beside herself. Luckily, the shock put me back in rythym but I could not be more thankful of the staff. They were amazing and made my entire family feel comfortable and cared for. Despite the fact that they were incredibly busy, every one of my caregivers took the time to check on me. Thank you so much, Parrish. You not only saved my life but everyone on your staff showed how much they cared about my health.
