Staff was professional and helpful, I adopted 2 dogs which I have grown to love dearly. I do have a few regrets they are not knowlegable about compatability, I had to come home with the dogs to find out if they will get along with my cat, my major complaint is they won't offer anything younger then 6 months old. I wanted a puppy. Also one of the dogs wants to tear up our horses, we are working on that.

Pup adoption there was one of the best experiences of my life.
I'll never forget everyone that helped me / us with the adoption.
What are the odds that 1 place has all the best people I've ever met?
Well, this place does.
Think I'll go back just to say hi to them all.
Just wonderful.

Love this humane society. We adopted our dog TJ here years ago. They always take care of us. Scott checked us in. He was so awesome. Great spirit, beautiful human being. I highly recommend the land o lakes humane society.

I foster for Pasco county Humane society and I am here at this facility on something like a regular basis. Spectacularly dedicated people, the animals are clearly the focus of attention.

I trapped a community cat who was injured the past month. Someone had shot him. I tried to get him help and as a last resort and took him here. They were so dismissive of me and totally callus at first. I had paid for a trap and had a lot of energy invested in this poor cat and was concerned that he be returned to our community as per the TNR program. Every person I spoke with there treated me with unkindness except for the elderly gentleman at the door. This is supposed to be a caring place and I have found it to be a truly negative experience. Since then have had a few more encounters where there has been a marked improvement.

We adopted our first family pet, Van, from here! Van is the biggest goofball but fits right in with our family! We adore him! ️
The adoption process was really fast. The staff were really friendly, patient, and helpful at assisting with finding the right dog for our family.

Side note, You can tell Pasco animal service spends a lot of time working with and training the animals in their shelters. The dogs we were able to have one on one with were very sweet and playful!

We had such a great experience here! Tony was the best at showing us the animals and was so knowledgeable about so many of the dogs. And the animals were so eager to go to him for affection, you can tell he's spent time with so many of these dogs. We are so happy that he didn't rush us and allowed us to spend as much time as we needed to make the right decision on rescuing our dog. Thank you to Tony and the rest of the team for the great kindness and assistance in us adopting our newest family member!
She's loving her two fur brothers and giving them a run for their money! She's full of energy running and jumping over them and anything in her way. But she loves her naps with her brothers. It's hard to imagine that it has only been 3 weeks!

Adopted a rescue here a year ago. The staff were so caring, especially Erica. So much so that we have brought our dog back a few times just to visit. Also, the Volunteers were so helpful and pleasant.

Just a word of advice- when you go and spend 80.00 on the feral cat cage that they tell you that you need, Mark it! We bought a brand new cage and we're sent home with some one else's cage that had insane amounts of oxidized urine all over it!

Great volunteers and staff. Saw this cute puppy who was being turned in as a stray. Very tempted but hadn't been processed yet.

My first time doing shots for my 3 year old pets and my parents pets. The place is clean and the ladies at front desk were superb. They were not in a rush despite people and their pets arriving quickly filling up the waiting area. They were patient, professional, courteous, and kind. Excellent. The process was efficient as well. They pay attention to detail and everything went smooth. Lastly, I'm 8 months pregnant and I was cautious and tried to stay away from dogs in waiting area. I mentioned I wanted to be extra cautious bc I once was bit by a tiny dog on the street near my house who was leashed, and I had to get shots at my doctors office, and i couldnt afford that risk to my unborn baby. With animals, you just don't know even on a leash. I was accompanied w family members, but I couldn't exit the building together w my family members as my mom and dad were busy taking out our pets to the cars.
They were understanding and accommodating. I spoke up about my not feeling comfortable walking past a huge excited dog. An employee escorted me the few feet to the door as I was wary to walk past the excited, big dog on its leash. It made me feel safer cuz she was on the side nearest to the dog and its owner. I will come back with my family's pets.

When your pet is too sick to carry on it's almost like planning for a funeral. We all know that they actually become a member of the family. Pasco County animal control employees had not only showed us compassion but professionalism. They not only make you feel as well as can be expected, what they do so well is take all the worry and fear of your plate.
