Pawn Depot, Clearwater FL

Was supposed to ship out a product. Shipped it 2 and a half weeks late. Finally delivered and was the wrong product (a firearm I might add). Claim it will take another 2-3 days to ship the correct product.

UPDATE: They received the wrong firearm after I shipped it back, then proceeded to never ship out the correct one.

First time here. Wasn’t a long experience but the 2 guys (one younger one older) who were working greeted me as soon as I came in the door. Maybe the previous comments were from others who didn’t get their way lol or were having a bad day themselves.

Extremely bitter and rude staff.

I walked with no customers in the store and no greeting. I didn't care about that though because I knew what I wanted. I asked to see some things in a case an a younger male with good hair was very helpful in showing me what I was interested in. The dingy old overweight staff member motionlessly dwelling at the vacant cash register began interrupting me with comments such as "Do you know what you're looking at or not? " The senile hamburger deprived manager persisted to loudly interject his insulting and uninvited comments across the room (assumingely because I was taking too long to make a decision or was asking too many questions). Eventually after enough of his impatient energy and micromanaging I thanked the younger staff member and walked out.

I have two intentions in posting this review.

1. To caution potential clients to consider the dozens of other pawn shops in the area before stepping foot in this low-vibrational marketplace. I felt good upon walking in but drained and depleted upon my exit. There's a Cash America Pawn right across the street with better prices and higher quality inventory.

2. To heed caution to the helpful younger two-toned hair staff member about working in an environment with such a toxic manager/coworker. If you read this comment, I hope you reconsider your employment options, as there are many other avenues with less burdensome, bitter, and narcissistic managers.

I visited this shop about six months ago and the staff was AMAZING the shop was so well put together and I got a great deal HOWEVER I came in this week and it has to be new owners because it looks terrible, you cant find anything, it's so unorganized, and the guys a jerk, felt like I had to be rushed out I took my business down the road!

Who's bright idea was it to change the whole store and staff? They had a nice jewelry island before now its junky tools. Cases everywhere looks cluttered And none of the friendly staff was there anymore they said. I wish I knew which pawn shop they went to!

Had a great experience here. Third shop I visited and they gave me the most for my jewelry! The girl with brown hair was very kind and helpful. I wont go anywhere else. I told all my friends to ask for her, I believe her name was sandra (Sorry bad with names)

Don't go here. This place lies. One guy will give you a price and then another one (the little squiggly guy with the bowl cut) will give a lower price when you go to the counter. The guy was exstremely rude. It's not worth it. Go somewhere else.

Very nice all around good people an good business cash America offered me $100 I took it same to pawn Depot an got $200 definitely a 5 stars for them

After trying all of the pawn shops around I have finally found my pawn shop. They have a huge selection of items and always cut you a deal. Great staff!

Sells defective products and will not honor, or stand behind what they sell. You have to ask for a receipt, I guess, because they never give one. Stay away from this place. They just stuck me with a $25.00 paper weight. Because the item doesn't work, thats all its good for now. Sheisters. Be wary of anything you buy here. If it doesn't work, you will most likely be stuck with it.
** In response to the reply. Immediately denied. They had no intention of refunding. Even credit for another one, there are others on the shelf, which I would have happily exchanged. Face to face response was I can't do anything for you".
**Update: because there is an 800# on the package, called the number and was instructed to return it to the point of purchase. As stated earlier, Pawn Depot does not stand behind the items they sell, and has ripped me off for $25.00. They just assumed that I was trying to rip them off, without any discussion. I just want what I paid for.

I've been doing business with these guys for years. They recently closed their Clearwater location (8 minutes from my home) and I'm now willing to drive 35 mins to continue the relationship.

Very shady business. Nothing is professional about this place. I've seen an employee on the side smoking crack. Also he is known to encourage drug users to steal the few high end items for pennies on the dollar. If you don't want to get ripped off don't do business here.

The people are great, especially Sandra she is very helpful and courteous. Great selection of everything definitely recommend it
