If can give them 0 I would. I landed at Tampa Florida and they have no car foe us. All they said sorry we canceled all cars

One star only because I can't use zero. Have been waiting in line at Budget because no one is at the Payless counter. Will probably be in line for at least 2 more hours at this pace. Don't bother calling customer service, they're closed! Ridiculous, will not use them again

Book with a different company! I wish I knew sooner. When we originally booked we were flying into Miami. When our flights were changed we flew into Tampa. I had to cancel and rebook bc they didn’t offer a modification. They charged me a $50 cancellation fee even though I switched from one location to another. We get to their booth only to see a sign that says closed, go to budget. Their service desk is a waiting area for all the other car rental companies. A 2 hr wait for a rental car with a company that doesn’t have anyone to assist. This company is a joke!

They apparently loss the car after I dropped it off on the same day i rented and have been accusing me for the last 2 weeks of still having it. I will never rent from you again I will continue sharing this horror story on every outlet I have. This has been a nightmare.

The car was fine. The check-in process was fine. The problem I had was when I returned the car. Afterwards, I was sent a receipt showing they charged me over $100 for fuel when I filled the car up right before I pulled into the terminal. They refunded my money but I've never had that problem with any other rental car agency before. Keep your eye on this!

Ease of rental. Helpful and courteous staff. Even though I walked out to my car pickup location to find someone else getting into my car.staff helped me right away. Upgraded my car and I was out and on my way in minutes.

I am not use to renting vehicles with body damage, in changing from a care with busted tail light and broken fender, to a care with scratches on the back side of care but accepted the rental to get on with my day.

The agent did not properly explain things to me, he did not disclose the etoll info re that tell us tools were non cash and there were additional service fees etc. Also was not happy re the prepay gas issue as we retuned the car with over half a tank and were not refunded half the prepay fee.

Reservations were made through Expedia. When I got to the airport there were no signs of my reservation and the agent at Budget stated this happens often when 3rd parties are involved. Also Expedia addds a $20 surcharge. Why use them?

I live in Clearwater, Fl.and I would give 0 stars if possible, I'm a disabled person who rented a car in San Diego through Southwest.com. I planned on staying in San Diego from the 09/03- 09/07/2021 then heading to Hawaii when the Governor asked residents not to come. I then re -rented on another invoice from the 09/07-09/10/2021 also through Southwest.com, so I could spend some extra time with my kids. When I rented the car I explained that I have two rentals for the whole week could I put both Invoices together but was told it would cost extra, so I decided I would bring back the car back and take another car. The 1st car stunk like smoke, a employee named David came over and apologized and said just bring it back with a half a tank of gas and marked our pink slip. We took it, not happy, but we were exhausted from an early flight from Tampa. We went back on the 7th @ approx. 5: 57am as noted on their invoice and told an attendant named Johnny about our incident and he said they aren't even open till 7am downstairs. He said if we wanted to just keep the same car go around the corner and the girl would take care of us, she said don't worry about the gas, bring back the car empty and she noted this on the pink slip. That's were we got the 2nd invoice with the 09//07/2021 at 05: 57: 16 stamped on it at the bottom of the page. That shows what we should have been charged, $398.63 for the whole rental. When we dropped off the car and went to the airport they put an erroneous charge of $552 more on the invoice, as though the car was never brought back and we were charged by the week at $661.42 plus additional charges of $289.76 taxes and all kinds of fee's, can you say screwing the disabled. Beware we fought the charges with our bank after opening a case with Payless# 41829530 and Payless said we never went back on the 7th. I will be fighting this with my bank since I have kept all the written copies and made copies of Payless Car Rental's pink slips showing we were in the right. Hertz funds were returned no problem on Hawaii end. Sad fact is this was the first time I got to see my kids and grandkids in 2+ years due to covid, and look at the greedy people who take advantage.

Rented through Airport rentals and the email instructions were horrible. When I called in and spook to a representative it further angered me as she told me I was in error. It took me 30 minutes to find the pickup desk with the aid a of a police officer who had worked the area for years. Also the first car had a flat. They upgraded me to a car with a radio that was intermittent the whole trip

The man who checked me in added things on the rental I didn't ask for. Insurance (I didn't need) fuel up option for $43 when I drove less then 1/4 tank of gas. My bill was unacceptable. Trying to get add on commissions im sure. Not what I booked.

The agent was rude, added extras we did not want or asked for and inisisted on selling us features we did not need. The car was dirty, nasty and had dents and scratches all around. When we told the agent she replied with 'its a car rental, what you expect? '. I would also think that because of COVID your cars would be cleaned and disinfected. I would never recomend a company that does not care about the safety of their clients.

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - they do not explain the extra charges, they won't refund the "security deposit". They just take peoples money and overcharge - if you have a family emergency take the time go to Enterprise at least they care about their customers.

Safety seatbelt panel missing and dirty and scratches everywhere and stinky and AC was dusty and it was a gas was empty jackie E is the worst staff was rude and disrespectful and the car had chocolate melted on the roof and horrible experience

Let’s start by saying … Do NOT RENT HERE.

They will not tell you the charges. The representative made me signed paperwork. He said there will be a 250 dollars hold on your card.

Then it proceeded to charge me 217.00 for what?

They need to be more ethical!

State your prices. But don’t deceive and scam customers.

Also if you fill up the tank they will still charge you

We rented a car promised it was available and ready to go when our flight landed and double check they would be open since it was a late flight they lady said yes no problem. We land into Tampa with three kids and one baby to find out they were closed. So I called their 1800 number to find no help and they wouldnt even compromise us with a hotel so I could get one of their cars on the morning. They ended up not trying to help us at all and just refunding my money without a sorry or even have a better day. 3am with three kids and a baby we couldn’t even get a Uber since we didn’t have a car seat for the baby and was renting one from Payless.

So if you need a car late at night don’t contact Payless car rentals. Better yet with the lack of experience and even customer experience I will no longer use ace or Payless car rentals. Super nasty people with terrible manners! Buys beware

Needless to say I WILL make it my mission to keep people away from Payless and ace since they continue to screw me all night and lied about services.
