Peas in a Pod reviews
13We are a locally veteran owned janitorial company here in Jacksonville owned by my wife and I. We did some floor work for this daycare last Sept.of 2023 and they will not pay for the work, which was over $1500.00 dollars. I am sure that if you did not pay for one of your children at this daycare for months, that they would not let you in. We have just asked for what we are owed and can not even get a call back from the new owners. I guess they just like stiffing local companies. We work hard for our money and would just like to be paid.
My daughter attends the school after a big adjustment from relocating and moving to Jacksonville from the only school she knew. She’s thriving here the teachers and office staff are amazing
I waited two months after removing my little one from Peas to make sure my review was unbiased.
I had my child there since 6 months!
STAFF - great staff I felt so comfortable leaving my little one, they were a wonderful village for me for two years! The old director Michelle is why I choose the center she was so welcoming and friendly! They were definitely a good village.
New owners -. Unorganized, always coming up with new rules every other week it seemed.not very personable or welcoming. Don’t know if they’re in it because they LOVE children or for the money! Didn’t leave a good taste in my mouth. High turnover rate when they took over too staff were leaving in herds some were quitting after two days sometimes.
I love Peas on a Pod for my little ones. My oldest attended VPK at the center and he was very prepared for Kindergarten and enjoyed his time there. He has also attended their summer camp and had a blast. My youngest has been attending since he was in the infant room. All of the teachers and staff are very professional and caring. I would recommend them to anyone looking for child care.
I love Peas in a Pod! The staff here will treat you & your child like family. I will recommend them to my friends & family.
My son absolutely adores Ms. Viviana, who teaches in the one classroom. Her kind nature, gentle spirit, and love for our children shines so bright! Her ability to connect with my child has helped him thrive since he started daycare back in February. She greets him every morning with a warm hug, smiling face, and "mi amor! "
When my son started daycare, his Dad and I were worried about his language development but after about 2 months we started seeing so much progress - we knew we made the right choice with Peas in a Pod! This picture is from open house tonight and I just wanted to share. I'm so sad he will be moving on to the 2 year old classroom in September because we have had such a wonderful experience where he is now. We love you Ms. Viviana and will always remember you as our first teacher ️
The new owners are terrible. We have had our daughter in here for 4 years and immediately withdrew her after seeing the terrible organization and handling over the last year. “Summer camp” was the last straw. $220 a week to have 5 year olds play on tablets all day. The amazing teachers that made this place special are leaving in droves. Do not send your kids here.
My daughter went here for 4 years and we loved it! Teachers and staff were always very attentive, and willing to work with you to reach certain goals for the children. Very warm and welcoming learning center!
My daughter been going here since she was 4months old and she’ll be 2 soon. She has learned so much and made friends. The teachers make sure the rooms are clean and the kids are happy.
There has been so many improvements over the last year that have been so beneficial for staff and kids. They offer have great foods for lunch and snacks, there is a a variety of toys to keep their imagination growing.
Every morning my little one is so excited to go to school to see her teachers and classmates.
Updated review: It's incredibly hard for me to write this review. After being at Peas in a Pod for 5 years with two kids, I can no longer recommend this center.
The center got new owners a year ago. Long term managers and teachers began to shortly leave, which should have been a sign. They have been unable to keep a good consistent teacher in the 3 year old class and the last 6 months have been a pure struggle. The management sat back and was quiet until recently where they have steamrolled the center. They have terrible communication, they've tried to sneak in rate increases without letting parents know.
They expect children to manage a different "teachers" expectations and management style daily. After speaking to other parents, they are still getting inconsistent updates with their children. They will tell you that your child had a "rough day" but then they can't give you examples because the morning teacher left for the day.
I spoke with the new director about a payment issue (because they aren't great at simple accounting even with a digital payment system and app.) I was having and even with daily conversations and writing down my name she couldn't remember my issue or my name or my children.
The management (I have seen on numerous occasions) unprofessionally speaks to GOOD LONG TERM TEACHERS in front of parents. They don't care that multiple long term families are leaving. They don't have summer camp or fall 2023 VPK figured out, they've pulled and moved teachers around in a scramble. Very unstable environment for some of the age classes. Without the long term teachers that are currently still there (which are wonderful, there are some absolutely amazing teachers there) management and the center would crash and burn.
UNFORTUNATELY the last two weeks have been awful. If it weren't for a couple VERY CARING teachers and parents we wouldn't even be able to have a nice VPK graduation. Up until the last minute there was no venue and management didn't even play a part in pulling it together.
Please save yourself the time and money, find a stable center with long-term staff, great communication and caring management because you aren't going to get it here.
Review from 2021:
We have been going here 2+ years with 2 kiddos, both starting at 3m old. Great atmosphere, very clean, friendly staff. They manage concerns immediately, the school has lots of activities between dress up days, visitors (like dentists, sno cone trucks), we get artwork made with love and so much more. I've made friends with other parents and very much enjoyed our kids going here. They come home learning new stuff, from how to use utensils to counting and singing songs! Don't hesitate, tour this place and you'll fall in love.
If I could leave Zero stars, I would. My child consistently said a teacher was attacking him and the manager kicked him out and said he was violent even though he had scratches covering his face. Don't bring your children here! I wish I would've taken them out sooner.
I wish that I could give a ZERO rating for this place! My Grandson has come home multiple times with scratches and bruises on him with no explanations or any kind of call or communications to the parents. DCF or some agency needs to pull their license until the staff is properly trained. Personally, I think the staff is colorblind and doesn’t care as much for the welfare of brown children! So disappointing that people in this field could be this way with innocent children.
Teacher yells at the student. Parent overheard yelling at students during drop off. Student came home with multiple scratches on his face saying that the teacher had hit him.
