Pediatric Associates Causeway, North Miami FL

I would like to preface this review by saying I am a primary care nurse practitioner, and I have never written a negative review for a medical practice, because I know how arduous primary care is. That said, this office has some serious issues, and prospective parents and patients should know what kind of obstacles they can expect. I am addressing a few issues here, but we experienced problems with every single encounter we had with this office over the 7 months my sons were patients.

First, my sons were seen by 3 different providers for multiple appointments over our 7 months with the practice. With each provider, the MA listened to my sons heart sounds, not the doctor/NP. As such, this must be an office-wide practice, and it is worrisome, because MAs are not trained to listen for murmurs or other serious cardiac issues the way an MD/PA/NP is.

Second, my youngest child required specialist referrals and care during our time with the practice. To actually get the referrals and appropriate prescriptions submitted, it took 4-5 weeks of persistent phone calls, online messages, and physical office visits. This happened over two separate issues. This is a barrier to care, and is completely inappropriate.

Lastly, we have since moved out of town, and I am entering week 4 of attempting to get my sons records transferred to our new office. We have submitted a medical record release form twice, and while they have finally managed to send over the records, they were sent without identifying information- no name or DOB and are useless to our new office. I have encountered argumentative telephone representatives, office staff, and MAs in the corporate office while attempting to get this done.

I would not recommend this office or practice as a whole. We have encountered nothing but barriers to our children receiving timely and appropriate care.

It was an amazing visit. This was me and my daughters first visit there and everyone made us feel very welcome. Dr. Burkett answered all questions and I had so many. Thank you everyone from Asanti and I for the wonderful treatment.

My son had a problem. I couldn’t figure it out. Got a same day appointment at a time convenient for me. As soon as Michelle saw him she was able to pin-point the problem and she was right on. Super quick visit. Very precise. Clean and friendly environment. Everyone there has a great attitude and don’t frighten my kids which is a major plus for me because they are sensitive. Keep up the great work.

Very fast and friendly office, Dr Julie Burkett is the best! She’s super kid friendly, smart and attentive! Highly recommend!

Dr. Haratz has been my child’s doctor since she was born! He is honestly the best doctor any child can have. The overall experience with him is amazing! He cares for his patients and interacts with them on such a level that it feels more like family rather than a doctors office. Having my second child and wouldn’t change him for anything!

The office atmosphere is great. My daughter and I really appreciated Dr. Imagawa’s character. She made my daughter feel very comfortable for her first visit. The staff were all courteous and professional.

The clinic is so clean, organized, very child friendly environment, it really nice inside. Doctors and nurses are extremely nice, professional, organized, very attentive, very caring. I highly recommend this to everyone

The doctor was excellent, she was diagnosed and provided my daughter with meds on the spot, that made her feel better. Great bedside manner.

We love our Pediatrician, Dr. Rasciel Socarras. The location os also perfectly sotuated for our area and the staff is great!

Dr. Miller is one of those doctors who listen to what you have to say and answer it NOT Like most Dr.walk in and walk out tells you everything is good tell you see you soon DR MILLER is one of the best doctors I’ve seen in a long time

The staff is very friendly and the doctors are nice and dedicated to their patients, specially Moisi Haratz who is really special with babies!

Caring and gentle professionals, best pediatricians

I ran my daughter in this morning unable to swallow and dizzy with fever. Pediatric associates noticed her condition and immediately got my daughter into a waiting room and seen within 5 minutes! They swabbed her and tested her for strep and then mono and were so attentive I was seriously impressed! Thank you Pediatric associates for your quick action today!

Dr. Harats has been taking care of my 5 year old old since birth now I’m glad to have him follow my newborn as well! Great physician!

Pediatric Associate is the best pediatrician for children. We went to see our pediatrician Dr. Raciel Socarras. I do not know what would I do without Dr. Socarras. He always know what his patients needs. He always go the extra mile in anything he does. The staff are just amazing. Go see for yourself. You will be happy. As parents, we want the best for our children. Pediatric Associate give you that.

I have a newborn of one month, as a new mom you want to make sure you have the best care and the best doctors for your baby. Pediatric associates has been excellent with the baby and it’s follow up well visits, I’m very satisfied and hope to keep taking him here. Also Dr. Socarras is an amazing Doc, as well as Michelle Miller! I love her

Dr. Socarras is beyond the best Pediatrician! My Son Marcus loves him and as a Mom Dr. Socarras always listens to all my concerns and makes sure I understand what's going on with my child n always makes me feel secure that everything will be ok. His attitude, personality & sensor humor are always great! Dr. Socarras is #1 in MY BOOK! I only want Marcus to see Dr. Socarras unless he is not in.
