Dr Casadonte is amazing. After suffering from pain in the extremities, ascending paralysis, etc for about a week and getting worse, I took my daughter to the ER. ER doctor said she had anxiety and nothing was physically wrong with her. Next day took her back when she presented with right side facial paralysis. This ER doctor gave a diagnosis of Bells Palsy, completely ignoring all other symptoms, and told us theres nothing she was going to do. We just had to wait it out. After having to advocate for her since we were just being brushed off, I managed to get a referral for Pediatric Neurology. We saw Dr Casadonte a few days later (after a long weekend of anxiety since doctors were telling my 12 yr old there was nothing wrong with her) and he diagnosed her with Guillain Barre syndrome. This was confirmed at a different hospital where they immediately began treatment. I can’t thank him enough for actually listening to us and taking us seriously when the ER docs said nothing was wrong. We are a year and a half post diagnosis and we have seen Casadonte as well as Dr Andrews many times now. Both are always great.

Our family has always had a great experience with Pediatric Neurology Associates. My child has been a patient of Dr. Vazquez since she was 9 (she is almost 16). He is always attentive with her, asks how she is doing, and answers our questions. I have always had a great experience with the office staff as well. We receive good care here.

To work in a profession with children if you do not support them and you are not very sensitive. Parents are very concerned about what our children may have, such that a doctor is cruel to you. I regret not having read the reviews before. I do not recommend Dr Vásquez.this man has zero empathy with his patients

We've been to this office twice. I have not had any front desk personnel be rude to me and I'm shocked to see the rating here. I drive from about an hour away to get here. We see Margaret A. Nazario. I'm impressed with her because she has not seen us in nearly 3 years. I felt like when I saw her in June she recognized my daughter and I. She asked how the psychological testing went and seemed to recall something I had mentioned to her. She was good at explaining the next steps since her eeg was fine that day. I didn't have any problem scheduling in this office and I need to call tomorrow to follow up.i am not anticipating any problems.

My sonnhas been seeing Dr. Andrew's since he was 7. She is so patient and thorough. Far better to work with than our previous neuro.

This practice is an absolute JOKE. I’d give them zero stars if it was an option. They argued with me about my phone number because I called to change it, then confirmed my sons appointment for the next day. The next day they call me about a provider change that I didn’t put in for and tell me that Margie REFUSES to see my son because his sleep study wasn’t done that they specifically said they would call us to schedule. His pediatrician and I have been consistently on this office about scheduling the necessary procedures and it always results in the same nonsense “we will get in touch with you for an appointment” and they don’t. I proceeded to tell them my son needs a refill on his seizure meds and they refused to refill because “Margie would need to see him for that” but she refused to see him? They then send me a letter stating they are dropping my son for failure to comply with his medical care plan and state “his condition requires medical attention”. This practice has laughed in the face of us when we have come with recordings of his seizures and said there is nothing going on and now they say he requires medical attention? I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy saw this practice and if you sincerely care about your child’s well being I suggest looking for a MUCH better practice, because this practice will not help.

I would imagine that there has to be some perfectly acceptable doctors in that building or they wouldn’t be in business but please steer clear of Dr Vasquez. He has zero bedside manner, spoke down to me like you would a dumb teenager (I’m an relatively intelligent, respectful 36 year old), lied to me, then to his staff, and didn’t actually do anything. What a waste of my time. The office is over an hour away for me, so I was completely disappointed.
Lastly, I wouldn’t exactly call their staff overly competent but I won’t go any farther with that one….

So, staff that answers the phone are very nice. Appointments were able to be scheduled quickly. We are new to the neurology world, new to seizures, etc.so naturally as a mom of 3, I have questions.
I originally scheduled with this office after seeing what amazing reviews Dr. Andrew’s had. Come to find out, we weren’t scheduled with her, we were scheduled with a PA, which I was fine with.
We had the eeg done, came back with abnormal results, as we knew it would. She came in to discuss it with us. The communication from this specific PA was far BELOW where it should be, especially for a family new to this type of health problem. I was asking questions and getting NO answers. It seemed almost as though she didn’t know how to answer my questions, which hopefully wasn’t the case, but that’s where I was when I left. No concerns addressed. Example: I asked which part of the brain these specific seizures come from. She responds: well, his EEG is going like this (starts making a zig zag motion with her finger.)
So, I made our recheck appointment. After leaving I called the office, and asked that we be rescheduled with a different doctor, and I wanted it to be with a NEUROLOGIST.
Well, apparently “a request is sent out to all the doctors to see if they will accept my sons case”.
Um? What? So you’re telling me that My son can only see one doctor at your practice? No second opinion from anyone else? Even if the PA we saw is having trouble explaining EVERYTHING to us? A different PA wasn’t even offered, which I think I would have been ok with, because the PA I spoke with after hours from this office was able to answer me with ease over the phone when I was asking her questions. An offer was made to have Dr. Andrew’s come in during our recheck appt (with the PA we aren’t fond of) to address my concerns. No, that’s not what we want.
I’ve had our pediatrician send a new referral out to a different practice so that eventually we can switch, but there’s a waiting list everywhere. We will settle here for now until we can get in to a practice that actually cares about our questions and concerns.
