Pelican Grand Beach Resort, Fort Lauderdale FL

I stayed here for a wedding. First of all, everyone was very nice and helpful, I give the staff 5 stars. My issue was the hotel itself. It was extremely expensive for the condition the hotel was in. My room was worn down and the paint on the balcony was too. The doors leading to the bathroom and the closet in my room had water damage and were stained. The bathroom sinks were stained and worn-out. Our shower floor had stains and the shower was spraying everywhere, it seems as though it had a leak that was never fixed. The fixtures were black, which is nice, but they were so worn-out that you can see the stainless steel under. The food at the hotel is expensive and only thing that was good on the menu were the nachos. The drinks are expensive too and they are not made fresh, they come from one of those juicer machines. My sister was staying in the sky suite, which is their most expensive room, and the AC was not working. They sent the engineer twice and he was not able to fix it. I just think the hotel is expensive for no reason. Nothing crazy about it.

Wifi was so terrible. Staff didn't believe us until the GM saw it for himself in our room. Pool was so packed with kids, there was no room for anything. Beach chairs and umbrellas were seriously limited. All guests are forced to park via valet, sofa bed was like a slab of concrete. Bathrooms have no privacy due to a sliding door. Idk how this place has such a high rating. Will not be back. You're better off at the Hilton a mile down the street.

Spent then day floating around the lazy River and enjoying the sun with attendants Rick and Mayra dotting on all of the pool guest. Day well spent! We booked the visit via resortpass.com and made sure to get there early as it did fill up. Bar/food service starts at 11am, so bring some refreshments to hold you over.

All the staff was some of the best all incredibly nice and understanding. We had this one guy named Ervin who helped all 10 of us and joined us in playing some volleyball.

Pretty place. Nice views but really lousy parking. I just went there for breakfast this morning and was told that they had two weddings and it caused them to run out of parking spaces. There is nowhere else close for parking. It was a waste of a drive.

Really bad experience at this hotel. Dirty and wear down linens, bathrooms not cleaned throughout. Staff is good and they try to help but at the point of having dirty stuff inside your room, there's no much help left. It's a shame, location is good, beautiful beach but it doesn't make it up for the rest. Not recommended, will not come back. Check the pics for reference.

Attended a wedding at this hotel. Very nice setting as it's on the beach. No bathroom on the 11th floor which was kind of odd.

Check in was easy, staff were friendly, resort was very clean. We always had pool and beach towels and chairs available. We stayed for 6 nights. The food specials in the lounge were priced well. They even did a water balloon toss for the kids and had live music. It was a great experience and we plan to come back. Brian at the pool was so helpful and always making sure it was clean. Nice private beach too.

Love the ocean view superb place to go to relax for the weekend or for the week although the beach chairs accommodations could be a bit frustrating especially if you leave to go to the restroom you might come back to see someone else on your chair

Very clean. I love it when I smell Clorox! No really, they were doing a bathroom cleaning and you could smell the bleach which I love to know was used. Yes, kind of a germa phobic. Nice beach area with chairs

I have been coming to this hotel for years and on every occasion Im blown away with the consistency of high standards here. The rooms are beautifully renovated with fantastic ocean and city views. The staff are friendly, conscientious and very willing to make your stay extraordinary. From the pool or beach, bar and restaurant, the service is unreal and the food 5 stars, everytime. I always leave lookng forward to my next stay.

Went to dinner at their beautiful imdoor/outdoor restaurant. Food was exceptional. Service was also very good. Beautiful sunset views!

We stayed at this resort for my bachelorette party last week. The resort is so nice with beautiful views of the ocean. The private beach access is really convenient and the beach is beautiful. The resort also has a beautiful pool and a lazy river. The resort also has a bar, restaurant and an ice cream/coffee shop which were all really good. There is a restaurant in the hotel next door that is also really good as well.

All the staff at the resort were so nice, especially Ben in valet/bellhop. He always went out of his way to make sure my group had everything we needed, got into our Uber's safely and helped to carry our luggage. We would definitely like to stay at this resort again!

Loved going to this place! Enjoyed the food and service. Loved the organization and pool. Enjoyed staying here for a day.

This review is for the gift shop. I went in Monday morning (8/2) to ask directions to the restaurant and the girl with the short dark hair (I think she wore glasses) was very cold and rude to me for no reason. I felt like I was bothering her just being there and she didn’t seem friendly or helpful.

The beach view was great. Unfortunately, when we checked in our first night we had to immediately go back down to the front desk to change rooms because the room reeked of marijuana. On our second night out entire wall outlets by our bed went out along with the wall lighting. We told the front desk and they said they would have maintenance come up, they never did. Then, the the 4th day, I asked the front desk if we could get a couple more K-cups and new mugs since none of the dirty mugs were ever exchanged out and we did not get any new coffee. The front desk said they would have someone bring new ones up along with coffee, they never did. Lastly, after checking out and waiting for our ride to the airport I asked the front desk guy fi I could have some water, he said he couldn’t. I asked him jokingly “why? Because I already checked out you can’t give me any water? ”, and he said “yes, unfortunately”.
I will never stay there again due to how uncaring and their lack of keeping their word when they said they would do something. Very poor front desk staff.

Wow. Not only is the resort gorgeous but the staff go well above and beyond.
We we’re greeted and welcomed every night Desteny worked. She is very professional and has a great passion for hospitality. Definitely will be back. Thanks everyone.

We enjoyed every moment at the Pelican Grand. The staff was absolutely the best. Everyone was friendly and helpful from the car service and restaurants to the spa!
The pool attendants were so helpful and full of positive energy. Brian, John and McErvin made our days at the pool so much fun. They constantly checked on us to be sure we we had everything we needed.
The spa was by far the best we’ve had! The rooms were clean and spacious.
We will definitely stay again! Thank you to the staff of Pelican Grand for making our mini vacation perfect
