Pepito's Mexican Restaurant - Fort Walton Beach reviews
13The inside was nice and clean the waitress was nice but the food was not what I expected at all I got the nachos supreme with steak and it was basically all lettuce sour cream tomatoes guacamole and chips I barely had any meat so I have to give a 1 star based on the food.
I recommend trying Pepito's when you are in Fort Walton Beach and are wanting Mexican food. The seafood enchiladas taste excellent, but come hungry since the dish will fill you up.
We also tried their fried pickled jalapeno peppers, and they were awesome. The vinegar in the pickling of the peppers really popped with the dipping sauce, making the taste phenomenal. But beware, they are not for the faint of mouth. The peppers are spicy (I would say medium) and are not for those who do not like spicy food. It was just right for me, and I like around a 2-3 on a 5 point scale.
The chips are crunchy and tender with a medium thickness. The sauce was a little bland since it was missing cilantro, but was still good overall.
Overall, I had an excellent experience. The food is great, and the service is quick.
I have never had a bad meal here. They have ruined it for other Mexican restaurants, because no other restaurant can compare.
The atmosphere is excellent at this location, and it's a very clean restaurant. The sopapillas are yummy Ask for Alex, he's an outstanding server!
We ate at Pepitos for dinner this evening. Our server was wonderful, very attentive. The food was fantastic and served in a timely manner. Our margaritas were so good! Pepitos will be added to the list of must revisit restaurants in Ft. Walton Beach!
We had an awesome server. She made recommendations and was very friendly and attentive. My husband took up her recommendation on the Enchiladas Potosinas with queso instead of the green tomatillo sauce. He said it was excellent. I had the Chicken Fajitas. In my opinion, it could have been more seasoned. There wasn't much sour cream and guacamole, mostly lettuce. The refried beans were typical, but the rice was excellent. We really liked the seasoning of the rice, and it wasn't dry like at other restaurants. The atmosphere was nice. They had a DJ playing Hispanic music. It was nice, but a bit too loud. It was hard to hear each other talk. I think I'll try the Chicken Chimichanga next time.
Second visit. Still in awe. Atmosphere is so welcoming, staff are very friendly and polite, and the food is absolutely delicious. The ceviche and fiesta calamari are definitely my favorites! Keep up the great work!
Decided to try this place with my family after usually going to Pedro’s when craving Mexican. We were absolutely blown away by the food. The whole vibe is very upscale modern, but the prices are very affordable. I got the king burrito, and this thing was huge- easily the size of my head. All of the portions were pretty big. Totally recommend the quesadillas, the cheese was creaming and soft and perfect. It’s definitely Tex-mex but a very good spot to try if you’re in the area
Had the Taco salad but there wasn't any sauce on the salad which made it very dry. Waiter didn't understand what I was explaining to him. However the rest of the meal was very good.
New location is so clean. I had a taco salad- super fresh tasting guacamole. Will visit again.
Went there on a Tuesday night and the service was very slow! Could have been a bad night for our waitress, or she was new! All the food we ordered was delicious! However two of the three the margaritas we ordered seemed to have no alcohol inThem! We had been to this location before and everything was perfect, from the service to the food and drinks!
Place was really good their queso and tacos were on point. Customer service was great. My only complaint is the military discount is 2% besides that I highly recommend this place.
Nicely renovated, a little noisy but a fun vibe. Food on par with Bluewater location. To go order was wrong and had to be re-done, got home and pico de gallo was missing but won't hold it against them!
