Great store with friendly staff and an excellent grooming salon with friendly experienced staff that take great care of your dogs!

Melinda at Petco is the sweetest, most caring and expert dog groomer that I have ever been too for my Liam. Will never go anywhere else. She is simply the best! ️

Melinda knows my baby since he was 5 months, he is now 16 months and she had always know his needs. She is very pleasant to work with and always accommodating to my wants for him. Will recommend this groomer anytime.

Curb side pick up was a dream. Efficient and polite. A huge time saver and I didn't have to lift anything heavy. Wonderful customer service!

We love this Petco location in Sarasota. We brought our new puppy, Piper, to the store for puppy training and we ended up finding a one stop shop for everything that she needs. The grooming is wonderful, her 1st doctor appt was easy and calm and she absolutely loved coming to Puppy School with Heather. Everyone on staff is caring and kind and will go out of their way to help you find the right things for your pet. We highly recommend!

Grooming: Started going there many years ago when my vet recommended Jackie. I would never have considered using a big box groomer otherwise. She was absolutely fantastic! TEN STARS if I could give them. Unfortunately (but not unexpectedly) after a few years she started her own grooming business in south Venice. She was so good I continued to go there until she moved even further south and I just couldn't do the drive/wait/drive.
She recommended someone at Petco - I went - just average but not bad. Still looking for another Jackie! Previous grooming experience 10 out of 10, last experience 3 out of 5.
Other stuff: They have a very knowledgeable and personable assistant store manager who has been informative and helpful when the website didn't show items that were actually in stock (when arranging for curbside delivery).

I looked online and the dog food was listed as being in the store, it wasn't! I went up to Bradenton to get what I needed from another company Petsmsrt!

The Vital Care is a great deal. Melinda N does a great job with the dogs for their grooming.

Aaliyah and tammy dr Norby were so friendly they fit my dog in right away! Took my dog in for a dog cut from the beach and she took my dog in right away! They were quick efficient and very affordable! I wish I had this vet in Orlando! They took such great care of my jojo. Thank you so much

An Absolute joke that they refused to sell me basic fish fish because they said I didn’t have what They said was the proper setup. What a joke! We are talking basic guppies here, nothing fancy

I have been bringing my pups to allison since I was a little girl. There is no one I trust more with my dog. She always does an amazing job and has always shown love to me and my family!

We arrived 15 minutes early and despite that, Taffy was taken right away. She was groomed very well, smells good, and I think the groomer and people who helped us were excellent!

Aside from the chaos at the store, because of the renovations, there were way more live animals. The poor beta fish, in tiny pots, with NOTHING to keep them occupied is heartbreaking. Turtles with nowhere above the water to relax. Birds and small pets just waiting to perhaps become a snake's next meal. I found it appalling. The checkout clerk had no idea about price-matching, although she acknowledged PetCo does have a program. She didn't understand the concept. Fortunately, a better trained associate did. I will not return, unless I have to. Do better, PetCo, especially when it comes to the animals/fish.

The best customer service experience, amazing team of people that always tries to help you with any questions you might have even when they're busy, small animals and reptiles are also well taken care of unlike most pet stores in the area.

People where super friendly, animals where really cute, they used the right substrate for the ball pythons. How ever, the ball python set up did look a little crowded especially the leopard geckos and they needed more hides. They also used sand for the substrate which could lead to impaction which could lead to death for leopard geckos. They did have supplements, so over all pretty decent store definitely better then some other Petcos

The staff is awesome. I had a lot questions about salt water tank because this is my first one and one of the employees, Brittany took her time to give me a class about salt water tank and make sure she answered all of my questions. I really appreciated.
I will be back for sure, I won't waste my time in someplace else.

Everyone was super friendly, instead of just acting like they couldn’t help me the lady at the front did extra to help me. But Brittany Chandler went out of her way to meet my needs and never got frustrated once or made me feel like a bother. I truly appreciated that, it’s nice to have customer service like she gave me. This will be my new pet place because of her. Thank you!
