Great local business. The owner is an amazing person. He has developed a great team of passionate people to create a true culinary art in the bagel realm. Vegan friendly, diary free as well. They have great coffee too. The outdoor space is amazing. Parking is not an issue at all. Every time I go there are no lines. If you want a true and proper bagel or breakfast sandwich this is where you need to go in the greater Tampa Bay Area.

I went in to get a quick bagel, not knowing what to expect with not much time for work. I'm fairly new to the area and it was the best bagel I've had in a very long time! I already recommended it to my boss and coworkers. The wait was very short, the workers were very sweet and patient. Definitely recommend and I'll definitely be back!:)

I visited today for the first time. After reading many, many reviews on how slow they are, I can confirm FOR SURE that they are painfully slowwww… The place is cute, we got an apple cider doughnut, that was really good, and a bagel with cream cheese that was average. What I can say is that there are way too many places in the area where you can get a bagel toasted with cream cheese in five minutes, the fact that I waited for 20 minutes is crazyyy! Just watching the three women working behind the counter and how incredibly slow they were was giving me anxiety, LOL… there was even a guy in there with his little daughter who was crying because it was taking so long and she had to go to the bathroom so badly …they definitely need a new system!

Great bagel sandwiches, come early if you want an everything bagel. Lots of seating around the side of the building can pop over to the park to sit in the shade

Delicious bagels. Closest to NY bagels I’ve found in the area. A little pricey but worth it for the high quality. Definitely recommend.

What? !? Pete’s General has the best bagel sandwich I’ve ever had. That’s a full stop there. Ever! They make fantastic bagels, sandwiches, and coffee! I love how kind and friendly the staff is, and how fast! The prices are excellent for the gourmet class food and coffee. If you need a quick bite to go, I for sure would recommend. (I ate the same bagel two days in a row!) That’s six exclamation points.

I love their bagels. The only critique I would have is that the everything bagel is too salty. Other than that, everything is great.

After going to new york I craved a bagel that could match what I ate up there. After much research and hype from friends I came here! I got the original pete which came with cucumber, capers, lox and a couple other ingredients. I got here at 11 a.m and they were already out of everything bagels so I got an onion bagel instead. The bagel itself was pretty good, but the bagel was small and expensive for the price they charge. It’s over $12 before tip for a bagel sandwich that will leave you hungry afterwards. I loved the store but the price to food ratio is not that great.

Love love love this place. Great bagels. They are unique, in that the bagels have a great outside crust to them that adds extra flavor. Not just a typical doughy bagel. Great service.

I was really excited to visit this bakery, but found myself a little disappointed. The customer service was great- she was nice, patient, and happy to help us with our needs. We waited about ~15 min for our order to be completed, and its fair. But the food itself. The bagels were HARD and definitely not fresh! They were not soggy, but chewy (like eating a twizler) I got a cream cheese one, and it was quite a mess, especially with it being not cut in half and so hard to accomplish such with a plastic knife. We too got a piece pf the blueberry cake, and it was really undercooked, like eating dough. We spent nearly $50 for our whole order, and I am sure Walmart bagels are no worse. The strawberry shortbread was like eating sand- it was definitely not fresh, and i am astonished by how this business is still going with the rubbish serving. Money wasted.

We hadn’t stopped in here in quite a while. They have expanded their shop to focus almost exclusively on their baked goods. I think this was the right call because most of the items previously were highly specialized and overpriced. Their bagels are decent. I know some New Yorkers that might not says it’s up to that level but they are still good none the less. Order online as it usually takes a while to get your order. Don’t be surprised if they run out of the bagel you selected. Answer the phone after you order just in case they have to make a substitution.

Extremely disappointed in the poor service. I waited nearly an hour for two lox bagels. These are cold sandwiches that require no cooking, they literally just have to be assembled! By the time we finally got to eat our bagels, they were soggy from the ingredients because they weren't toasted (we specified we wanted them toasted when we ordered). The kitchen was very disorganized and none of the employees seemed to know what was going on, what bagels they were sold out of, etc. The experience was so bad that it was almost comical. This restaurant really needs to work on logistics and organization. If they are charging premium prices (two lox bagels were nearly $30 with tip), they really need to step up the service to match.

My husband and I love Pete’s the bagel sandwiches are piled high with all those fresh ingredients and the bagels themselves are amazing. We like their pastries, too (especially the lemon poppyseed scones) and it’s our number one lazy day breakfast spot in St Pete. A little heads up—on weekends it’s taken us upward of 25 minutes just to get a bagel with cream cheese, so make sure to come expecting a little bit of a wait on busy days, because it’s totally worth it!

I had the Greek Pete sandwich and really enjoyed it. Great flavor and textures. My only complaint is that I wish it was either a little bigger or maybe a little less expensive.

This place is awesome.homemade vegan cream cheese made from white beans and garlic. Bagel was chewy and fresh and the vibe was great. We will be back all the time, I’m sure. Next time I’m going to add extra dill and some pickled onions. 10/10.

A little overpriced for what it was. A bagel with lox & cream cheese was $10. Tasted ok. Can go somewhere else with better bagels for way less
