Don’t try to practice here, you’ll get kicked out for trying to use a public batting cage lol

Kicked out for trying to use public batting cage. We were treated very poorly and were told to go back to our car. Very disappointed, and felt disrespected. Cages were cheap as well

It's a beautiful park. Plenty of space to run around, a walk path that is peaceful and a few baseball fields. It's just lovely.

Great fields for a public park facility. Whomever handles field maintenance needs a raise. Snack bar is overpriced but you're there for the baseball so deal with it.

I love this park so much. The banyan trees are the best part. The hill is so fun to sit and read on.

Phipps Park is a great spot for everyone in West Palm. There are baseball fields for the kids, tennis courts, a skatepark, play areas for kids and a long tree shaded path to walk with different exercise stations to utilize. The trees are beautiful and there are all types of birds and creatures in the area.

Love Phipps when we are having baseball practice or tournaments. The area is not very good so always be careful and watchful of your littles. There is a fun park with swings for the small kids. There is also a skate park on the property. Lots of unsupervised teens so expect to hear some foul language and see some kissing and a few fights. Nothing too drastic usually. Snack bar is fantastic. Great burgers dogs and fries. Bathrooms are wicked hot but they always have soap and toilet paper so that is a plus. Be aware that there are snakes there. My husband parked on the back of the fields one night and a black garden snake latched onto him pretty good. Gave him a good scare.

This park has tons of activities. The fitness path is awesome. And the trees are nice. You can look at them and think about how they have been here longer than you, if you want to.

Phipps Park is named for Jay Phipps, the son of Andrew Carnegie's partner in U. S. Steel who came to the area in the 1920's during Florida's land boom years. He purchased the old pineapple fields in the area and created the El Cid neighborhood. The Phipps family once owned large stretches of coastal South Florida, including much of Palm Beach.

Ground for Phipps Park was broken in 1951. Phipps Park's first President, Mel Foster drew up the plans for the fields. Prior to the creation of this park the only baseball sports league in West Palm Beach was for teenagers. This park allowed for organized summer baseball for Little League and Pony Leagues. The original field from 1951 is named for longtime volunteer Fred Dulson who did anything that was needed at the park from the 1950's until his death in the 1980's. In the 80's a second playing field was added, followed by a third field in 1995, and a fourth field in 2001. Today President Tom Pastore oversees recreational baseball and softball leagues for children from ages of 3 through 16.

Other Phipps Park amenities include a soccer field, skate park, tennis courts, playground, exercise path with fitness stations, and picnic pavilions. The park has beautiful large banyan trees and royal poinciana trees. This park has a long legacy of fostering a love of baseball in the youth of Palm Beach.

Great place to take your kids to learn how to play baseball. Good coaching and fun environment for the players. Travel programs for those that want to take it to the next level. See coach Phil to help your kids learn the proper way to bat. He's been coaching for over 50 years.
