Dr. Crater and D'Alessandro were great with my newborn. However, the desk staff is on their cellphones the entire time and not friendly at all. I went up to the woman at checkout after my appointment and she was scrolling through her phone for a solid 3-4 minutes before I told her I needed to book my son's 2 month checkup.still just looked at her phone and didn't even acknowledge me! I was standing right in front of her.

Fort Myers PPC office is one of the worse experience for our family. Every time we scheduled for our appointment we ended up waiting at least 1.5 hours to 2 hours. Our last appointment was on 7/30/21 at 3: 20, we ended up waiting for 2 hours to get into the room. Our babies where exhausted and crying from being tired and hungry, they missed their feedings each time we go to PPC because the wait is horrible all the time.

Dr Landerfeld is amazing! He really listened to my concerns about my son's chronic cough before making recommendations. Will only take my son to see Landerfeld going forward!

There are some really great Pediatricians at PPC, but unfortunately they are incredibly overbooked. We end up waiting 45-75 min after our scheduled time every single visit. Because of this, we’re leaving the group and going somewhere else.

Expect to wait up to 3 hours after your appointment time for just a simple checkup
Nice staff but Your kid is just a number here

I have been going here for 6 years. All doctors are great. I do have my favorites but all worth it. Be patient with wait times. There are sometimes urgent matters that arise between visits. I dont mind the wait for the great service.
LANDEFELD is my top choice for older kids/teens.

Failure to provide informed consent. Ask for inserts with adverse reactions and ingredients! Coersion and threats to comply.

The service here is great and all the staff members are very kind and capable.however, my sister arrived well before her scheduled appointment time and waited over half an hour to be seen.in general, things move veeeeerrrryyyy slowly here and you will be stuck waiting for long periods of time, even for simple check ups or prescriptions.

We’ve been going to this office for about a year now and we really like all the doctors but Dr. Bacchus is the best!

Dr Landefeld had great bedsides manners. He was very patient and thorough. His staff was also very friendly and amicable. Our son didn't even cry when the nurse gave him his shots. We were never rushed, nor treated like another customer line. The facilities are very clean and they have the necessary equipment to perform all the routine examinations.

I spoke with a very helpful and respectful receptionist named Kim. She entered referral information while I was on the phone to ensure service was fulfilled. I am very thankful for her patience, positivity, and assistance this morning. Thank you so much, Kim and Physicians Primary Care - Pediatrics, Fort Myers.

Respectfully,
Jodi

Who you see makes a difference! My last visit here leaves a lot to be desired and moving forward I will make sure to schedule appointments with providers who have previously seen my children that we have had positive experiences with and not schedule appointments blindly based on time slots.

That being said, I do want to begin with the positives:
1) Everyone made sure to properly identify my twins.
2) Kenya, the medical assistant, was a joy to have.
3) The wait time was short (we did have early AM appointments).

That's where the positives end. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to interact with Kenya as I would have liked due to completing paperwork/ tablet documentation. I was asked to complete paperwork and both children were given tablets. I guess I was supposed to know that the tablets had an automatic timeout feature as the girl out front seemed irked when it had to be reset. I now know to only accept 1 tablet and to not have my kids complete them simultaneously. Easy enough fix.

Dr. Crater was the MD who saw us this visit. She was nice and polite but it seemed forced and she also seemed uncomfortable. Even one of my children mentioned it later that day. I make a point not to mention my employment history and to appear as if I have limited medical knowledge because I don't want any preconceived notions (positive or negative).

As an allied health professional of 15 years who works with children with disabilities I do a review of that child's history prior to seeing them. It is important that I know medical history as well as what other professionals are/were participating in their care and how the last few visits went. My kids have been patients here for 11+ years so I didn't think that I should have reviewed my files prior to coming but she came into the room unprepared so maybe I should have. During previous visits, physicians who had reviewed the charts had brought up history that I had forgotten but during this visit I was unsuccessfully attempting to recall events from years ago.

I did, however, mention my husband's background when making a request (I was reminded later that evening that he had a similar discussion with another physician when he had previously taken the kids in, however, during small talk and check out he didn't remember to make the request). I get the feeling that she didn't believe what I said about my spouse, however, a quick search on the Florida Department of Health website would have confirmed my story. But who am I kidding, the charts weren't even reviewed so a minute to confirm a story certainly isn't within the realm of possibilities. LONG STORY SHORT, I WAS TOLD THAT SHE WOULD LOOK INTO IT AND SHE NEVER RETURNED. I find the lack of communication unprofessional and unacceptable. I completely understand that she is the physician that we were seeing that day and she should only do what she is comfortable with but the facts that it had previously been discussed and that she never returned leads me to believe that A) there is a lack of proper documentation, B) she never looked into it or A and B are the correct answers.

My final point of contention is how content we can be as a society to take a reactive approach as opposed to a proactive one when it comes to healthcare. I was told by Dr. Crater to bring them in the next time the illness occurs. I know from a previous experience that we are not guaranteed a sick appointment. Additionally, I was previously given poor advice from the person that I was connected to in regards to the illness. Had I followed his advice and not used my own common sense and went to the ER we would have likely had a multiple day hospitalization. With all of the growth in this area and the strain on healthcare it just seems as if measures should be taken to limit visits to doctor offices, urgent care centers and emergency rooms.

I was never crazy impressed with this establishment nor disappointed. The staff were always nice, the doctors were okay, it was clean. Today however have changed my loyalty to them completely and I would not go anywhere else with my children.
My 3 year old had a terrible accident and we needed stiches fast. They did not question us, took us in within 10minutes, the pediatrician was fast and awesome, we were in and out in 30minutes. It was probably a quite time for them but we would have spent 5 times longer in the ER so I am very grateful for their urgency. Thank you PPC.

I'm a new mommy. Had no idea where to go for my little one's care. I couldn't be more pleased with this team of pediatricians. I have met with 4 of the 15 Dr.s on staff. And every single one of them has been so informative and patient. They made this life transition so pleasant for myself and my fiance. Bedside manor is amazing. And i feel so blessed to have such an amazing team caring for my baby I reccomend them for all your pediatric needs.

Would not go here again. We are on vacation and our daughter spiked a fever and was not eating well and messing with her ears. We brought her in to get checked for an ear infection (the front staff was great and got us in quick). We saw Dr. Rodriguez and after explaining everything that was going on she checked our daughter ears and said they were slightly red and one had some fluid. She said she believed she had a virus that was causing the ear redness (but our daughter had not been coughing, sneezing or had a runny nose). At one point our daughter was upset from her messing with her and was crying and the doctor was very loud telling her she was fine and almost seemed annoyed she was crying. We took her diagnosis assuming she knew what she was taking about. Next day our daughter still had a fever, wouldn’t eat, wouldn’t drink and was completely miserable and didn’t want to do anything but lay on us. We took her to an urgent care and the doctor said her ears were super red and she definitely has a double ear infection. I find it hard to believe that her ears got that bad overnight. Now we have to pay for two visits and the urgent care doctor said her ears will probably hurt on the flight back home because she will not have been on meds that long. That another day would have been good to help her out. Very disappointed.

This office has really went down hill. I am sitting here waiting on our doctor and it is currently 1 hour 30 min past our appointment time.which is not fun with a 6 month old and a 5 year old. This seems to happen every time I have an afternoon appointment. They don't even have the courtesy to tell you when you check in. After you question them they give you an "emergency" story. I have heard this more than once so I no longer believe them. They obviously over schedule. I am considering changing pediatrician after 5 years.

Every Physician wants to get paid. This is a horrible Pediatric Clinic. I'm very disappointed. My first visit and Dr. Butler couldn't just do the right thing. Unnecessary travels to other clinics. All because everything is about a referral. Seems they don't care just. Don't let the nice looking place fool you.

Great pediatrician office. Sometimes the wait can be a little long but that’s any pediatrician’s office when they’re busy. The doctors are fabulous!
