Piccolo Italian Restaurant, Punta Gorda FL

We have dined several times at Piccolo. Their Italian foods are without peer. Table service is superior. Tables are a bit crowded. The place is tiny by restaurant averages. It is quite difficult to get reservations, which is very disappointing.

Excellent service, excellent food and wine! Make reservations because food is made from scratch while you are there. With reservations, it is ready right after you arrive.

Absolutely amazing! Being Italian, I have yet to find such authenticity in the south. I’ll be back every time I visit. This is the best hidden gem in Florida and I can’t wait to come back!

Being from Long Island New York and foodies no less this place hit on all cylinders.absolutely top shelf food and service. Incredible wow factor.

Our first visit but for sure not our last! Fresh caprice salads and fantastic veal dishes. We had picatta and marsala, both outstanding. Great desserts and reasonably priced wine selections. Call ahead. You won't be disappointed!

Amazing dinner for a group of 7 of us and very well priced food and wine. Also, great service. Everything was great from the appetizers to our dessert. Highly recommend the lasagna and the veal Parmesan. We will definitely be back next time we are in Punta Gorda!

We had a wonderful night here! The food was absolutely AMAZING! The veal parmesan and lasagna were our two favorites. The chef cooks everything herself and is wonderful. The owner is very hospitable and friendly. And the wine is delicious and affordable! We will definitely be back!

Went in after work to get a to go order. They wouldn't serve me because they had a table of 4 waiting. I was in my work clothes. Made me feel like I wasn't high enough class to order there.

This place is (on the night we went) reservations only and very limited seating of about 20 persons. We were fortunate that when we called there had been 2 cancelations and we were able to get a table for 4! All 4 of us ordered something different and all 4 of us were very pleased with our meals. The food was amazing. If you are in the area and want authentic Italian food cooked by the wife of the one and only server, (whom I believe are the owners) call and make a reservation and experience a great meal here!

Excellent restaurant in a unique location along the highway. It’s TINY - maybe 8 tables inside. We lucky to sit outside and had a great meal of chicken parm and gnocchi bolognese. Meals are very tasty, fresh and well prepared. The wine list is small and very reasonably priced. The owner is a full service guy who serves, cools amen busses tables.

I encourage you to call first to make sure you can be seated.

You should plan on about a 3 hour eating experience.you do have to wait a while for everything, but that's because everything is handmade including the noodles. This is being prepared by an Italian husband and his wife with their 2 children helping.it dosnt get much more authentic. Make reservations bc there are only 4 tables, but that adds to the charm! It's almost like you are going over to their house and they are cooking you an authentic Italian home cooked meal!

Food was amazing. However, service was very slow, waiter kept forgetting things and it took forever to get the check.

Found this hidden gem, it by far exceeded our expectations. The food was the best Italian we have had. Great service, definitely recommend reservations. We will be back for sure!

Food was cooked to order and delicious. Definitely need reservations as is very small but well worth the wait. Will definitely be going back.
