Pigeon Cay Historic District reviews
6We had a great visit! CT was our tour guide. She loves what she does and it shows. Great history of the Flagler train. Kids will love feeding the shark and fish. Nice beach area.
The tour guide here was very knowledgeable about pigeon key. If you are into Florida Keys history, I highly suggest you go here and take this tour.
I’ve always been curious about how the roads to the Keys were built. We ventured to Pigeon Cay yesterday and learned and saw so much! It’s amazing how the roads, bridges and railroads were designed and built. Our train conductor was Julie, friendly, informative and focused on safety at all times. Our guide Eric is so knowledgeable! He is calm, courteous, and a detail man. As he informed us, he was able to answer questions with details and specificity. If you’re a history buff, you’ll really enjoy this place. And even if you’re not, it’s still a site worth stopping at to see. You ride on the original 7 mile bridge, there since 1912, and can see the “new” one completed in 1982 (the one we all drive on now). Great experience for my family and I.
Such a fascinating piece of history to learn about. The guides are VERY informative and knowledgeable. The gift shop has a lot of unique items and even a popcorn machine. These t-shirts are EXTREMELY fitting.
Nice place for a walk, bike or refreshing on the water but $15 per person it’s high
Fantastic piece of history! I recommend a visit. Even better, swing by the pigeon key tour at the south end of marathon and take the tour. Excellent tour guides and a really cool trolly ride to the island on old seven mile bridge.
