I don't know what their service is like. We don't use their service but our neighbors do and Pinch A Penny seems to think it's ok to park in my yard while their service the neighbors. Is this why I have to replace my sprinkler head?

I would give this pool cleaning company a zero if I could. We signed up for them to clean our pool. At first it was good. Then they started not showing up. They would take the money out of our account and not show up to clean our pool. When they did show up they would pour some chemicals and you would see the green spread on the bottom but it never got clear. We would call and they thought we were being to picky. We took pictures and brought them in. He would agree with us and said he would refund some of the fee. We never saw any of the refund so we cancelled the service. We would have to clean our own pool the same day they came out and claimed they cleaned it. Stay far away from this company. They will take your money and not clean your pool! We even contacted the BBB and the company returned the letter from them as no longer in business.

I’ve been doing business with them since 2002. The comments, suggestions and advice they have given me have saved me money and reduced my maintenance time. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

UNAUTHORIZED USE of CREDIT CARD—

Few months ago I purchased two brand new pumps and had my robot cleaner rebuilt and spent over $1500 on parts and labor at this store (I used Credit Card—This is important. I will come back later to elaborate on this).

Over the last month, the robot cleaner stops working so I contacted Dan (the manager) over the phone and asked him to send someone to check as the parts are still under warranty. After a no show for the 1st appointment, he sent Carlo their technician (nice and courteous man). Carlo spent 1 1/2 hrs and couldn’t figure out what was wrong so he left. I contacted Dan next day and he said “Carlo couldn’t figure out what’s wrong and suggested I look for other repair solution/services”

Fast forward to two weeks later, I noticed a charge on my Visa for $217.63 from them (for the record—at no point I gave them my Credit Card or authorize any charge, a point Dan misleadingly insisted that I did—And they had ZERO proof). I contacted Dan immediately and confronted him for:

1- Charged for a repair they couldn’t fix (I could be reasoned into paying for part of the service call although the problem was unsolved and they claimed it’s not from the new equipments I purchased still under warranty)
2-Unauthorized use of my credit card (they obviously keep my credit card on file from the previous purchase)
3-Fail to inform me (they waited for two weeks and snuck the charge on my Visa without any notice or itemized explanation of the charges)

Instead of listening to my concerns (as previously mentioned although the problem wasn’t fixed, I could be reasoned into paying for part of the service call), Dan instantly became defensive, got confrontational, argumentative and incessantly talked over me. After several mins of talking in circle and falsely claim I authorized the use of my credit card (I never did and he will have to show proof), Dan conceded he would reverse the fraudulent charge BUT ONLY if I physically bring myself to his store then he issued a threat “NEVER EVER let him see me set foot in his store EVER AGAIN”.

I have already reported to my credit card company to dispute the charge. In addition, I will officially file a complaint with the FL State Attorney General office. Keeping custom credit card on file without their knowledge is NEVER OK and Unauthorized Use of customer credit card without their knowledge is simply FRAUDULENT. I also had to cancel my Credit Card. I had never written a negative review in my life as I understand we often times have bad days and vendors are no exception but this is UNACCEPTABLE business practices especially for unsuspecting customers and I don’t want it to happen to anyone else. My advice is CAVEAT EMPTOR.

Great place! I come here every few months to get my water professionally checked and they are always friendly and helpful and have any supplies I need.

They are very helpful. Just bring in a sample of your pool water and they will let you know what you need for your pool to get it right and the products are reasonably priced.

Bunch of liars. Matt quoted me a price for a seal plate over the phone. I sent someone in that day to pickup the part, he charged me $25 more for the part. In addition, Matt also lied about in stock inventory to get us to come in. This place doesn’t value customers. Take your business somewhere else

It’s convenient but expensive. Don’t know if there’s a lot of staff turnover, but they’re not particularly helpful and lack much knowledge.
