8I bought a house with a pool that had some issues and Mike and his team at the Pinch A Penny on 34th have been awesome. They answered all my questions and they've done service on the pool a few times to get everything working great! Highly recommended.
If it were possible I would give them negative stars. I scheduled for a training session on the pool at my new house. THEY are the ones that set a date and time. Friday rolls around, which was the day of the appointment, no call no show. I had to call them to see what was going on. Apparently the rain that I never got at my house, made them cancel but I would be a priority on Monday. Once again I wait, no phone call so I have to call them to see what the status is. Was told I wasn't on the schedule but they could see if they could try. Now I am being told oh maybe we can get you in on another day. It's $150 for a ten minute class. I would think as a fellow business owner that you would be all over that. Apparently they don't know what customer service is at all. I have used them twice before but will not give them my business in the future. I truly do hope that this hurts your business and you take a look into getting people that actually want to help.
Mike did a great job. He went beyond and above. Gave great instructions, was responsive, and super helpful. Terrific overall!
Posting this review specifically for Mike regarding our recent spa purchase. My husband and I had ordered one of the two-person spas back in February of this year and were promised 14-16 weeks of delivery. I kept calling every week after we approached the 14-week mark to get some sort of an update. Every time, the employee was not super helpful and responded with the same generic comment of "We will call you once your spa has been shipped from California. " My husband ended up getting a voicemail from the sales rep, Mike regarding our purchase and had some good news. I called him back and he explained there was a bigger spa (for a little bit more money), but we would be MUCH happier with that model, AND it could be delivered on May 18th! I was so excited since we had been waiting patiently since February for our hot tub. We agreed on everything, and as promised, Mike brought our much fancier, BIGGER spa that Thursday. We have been enjoying it every night. Much thanks to Mike for helping us out!

THAT WAS THEN. I am disabled and was treated with no kindness or care. I was left sitting on some steps while the girl was helping someone (fair) she didn't take a moment to call for help. Finally someone came out and the girl told him to wait on a lady who came in many minutes after me.really? Then the chlorine bottle leaked over me and my car.still no kindness or care. I will try the other store
The biggest problem that I had with pinch a Penny on 34 boulevard in Gainesville is it when I would call up about a service that they were supposed to provide per our contract they always had an excuse but never took care of the problem. When I tried to reach out to Christine who is the manager as well as the owner she refused to have any conversation with me to remedy any problems that I may be having about the fact that my pool is green. The last time I called to complain that 3 weeks in a row my wife watched our pool service technician not clean the filter on my pool her answer was to just cancel my contract and offer to give me my money back. I run a business in the Gainesville area customer satisfaction is always number one I should have listened to the other folks that told me do not deal with these people
I just bought my 1st hottub and really love it. I have been wanting to buy one for a few years now but what has stopped me in the past is not finding the one i like or in my budget. Biggest set back was me not knowing how to keep up the Maintenance with one. Mike and his wife and their help nick have gone over board with helping me with all of the above. Thanks guys and look forward to future business.
We've used them for our pool service after another local business dropped us during the pandemic. We recently bought a Hot Spring spa; they have been excellent in every way. Pool service top-notch, great place to purchase a tub. They oversaw every minute of the installation. Highly recommended.
