Pinch A Penny Pool Patio Spa reviews
10I went in to the A1A location a couple weeks back and I had a terrible experience with this store. Their prices are exorbitant, and the customer service is abysmal. The staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful. To top it off, one other customer there was showing me pictures of the subpar job they did for him leaving wires hanging and components disconnected from a control station. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this establishment.
Prices are extremely high, sales staff are rude, had multiple things go wrong during installation, problems after installation that were not there before with no responsibility/accountability taken.
This place is bad, the other pinch a penny locations were much better.
Love this location. The ladies are always super helpful and friendly when I get my pool and spa water tested. They are spot on with suggestions I need for my pools and spas.
I’ve been going to Pinch a Penny for years now. As always, I get the best service possible. Everyone there is so friendly and they always help with any kind of pool problems that I have. It’s wonderful to have such a local service with people who care.
They know why the low rating. I won't say much more than it's well deserved, and you just don't treat people like that, for any reason.
I’ve been waiting for over 2 years for warranty issues with Hayward control board and a chemical pump system.
Still nothing. I’ve called 20 times at least and they always say I’m on the list for service.
Purchased and installed an AquaCal pool Heater but their installation was poor and incomplete. They said that they don't recommend anchoring the unit to the concrete pad designed for a pool heater because it would vibrate and loosen the pvc plumbing. Well they never glued the pvc plumbing and it burst apart on its own. After reading the installation manual from AuquCal it says it should be mounted to pad and supplied concrete screws, hurricane brackets, and mounting diagram. When I called Pinch-a-Penny to come back and install it properly they said they wouldn't do it, saying the concrete pad would crack. The AquaCal heater is very good and has a great warranty, just don't purchase one from Pinch-a-Penny.
Don't know about the pool service, but the store staff is only as knowledgeable as their ability to read the product labels, or "what they know the guys use. " Very little practical or differential knowledge between products they stock. Why this and not this sorta thing. They just read the labels and guess. Google before you go.
The employees are super friendly and helpful. When my pool contractor (Russell Builders/BP builders) ghosted me, I went to pinch a penny to help with buying a brush and a net.
I definitely recommend for all your pool needs.
So helpful! I took a non-Pinch-a-Penny leaf rake (pricey, so I didn’t want to buy a new one) in to replace the net that was full of holes- not only did the manager find a net to fit to fix, but spent time (& googled how) to fix & replaced the net right in the store! Thanks Mellissia Mauk for fixing it!
