Pinellas County Tax Collector, Clearwater FL

If you do not have an appointment, they will not help you. I was told to goto another county dmv where they may or may not be able to help me

Showed up today at 3 pm for 3: 15 pm appointment. There were literally 48 people on line ahead of me (I counted twice). All standing outside in the rain. Was told approximate wait time was at least an hour, probably longer. I waited in rain until 3: 30, only 4 people had gone into the building during the 30 minute wait, so I left and rescheduled for another date for an 8: 15 am appointment. Hopefully it won't be such a massive crowd on line next time.

I just renewed my driver license, and it was quick and easy. Kim took great care of me. She was extremely pleasant and made the process almost enjoyable. I only waited about 15 minutes, and that's because I arrived early, so actually they took me before my appointment. BRAVO!

I waited in the office for an hour for a concealed weapon permit because the website says no appts as far as you can see. I then waited 82 minutes on hold to get the same answer. Nothing. There was NOT ONE customer there the entire time and they kept saying 5 were coming. Never did. This is the only office in a county of 1 million people that does this permit. INSANE

It was my first time going in alone without help from my parents and the lady Melinda was very helpful and nice. Very patient. Thank you Melinda! I’ve had a few bad experiences in dmvs in the past, so it was a surprise! Thank you once again.

I was on hold for over an hour you cannot make an appointment on line for the Tax collectors office only for Drivers license the site won't let you for anything else except a concealed weapon license. So typical of a government office

2 hour wait for a 10 minute job. OMG.and can anybody tell me why they cant read my licence for an ID, they have to SLOWLY, type it in?

Went here with my boyfriend to get him an ID today and went way better than last time. Took us about 30~ minutes to be helped on a monday morning, which is pretty good considering the DMV. We were helped by Heather in station 23. Also, whoever opened the doors today was very amicable as well.

Terrible speed, took an hour to get 7 people out of the way and then the florida drivers license system broke down, making my time I spent there a complete joke and when I go on the website to select an appointment, the pos wont even load times

I went to the location at 29339 US 19 in Clearwater and had just the best experience at a DMV facility. I renewed my license and applied for a concealed carry. The person that helped me renewing my license was just outstanding and it was a pleasure to have someone like that go through the process. For my concealed carry again another outstanding individual that made the process enjoyable really. I just want to thank them all it was such a pleasant experience.

I went to this DMV for a new resident registration and Driver’s License. The employee at booth 25 was considerate and knew her job; so for that part of the transaction, I have no problem.

What bothers me is that after I was done and paid my fees, I looked at the receipt and under voter registration it said, “Declined”, which is downright fraudulent because a) I was never asked; and b) I never would have declined to register to vote in a new state.

As a result, I had to spend 30 minutes online that night doing it myself. Someone should look in to how frequently this employee does this to others to assure it does not continue.

I live in Massachusetts, but my car title was in Pinellas Fl because I used to live there. Gilda helped me and it was so much easier and faster than I imagined and she was very nice! After dealing with the Massachusetts DMV this was a happy surprise! Thanks Gilda!

I showed up on a Monday, by the looks of the line my guess was - this is the busiest day of the week! Yikes, I'm thinking, there goes my day!
Boy was I wrong! The A, B, C etc system seems to keep the flow going smoothly.
I was taken care in no time (approximately 55 minutes) considering it was a Monday and appeared to be packed!

I have replaced my drivers license 3 times in the last 4 months and every time I've gone at the end of the day and gotten in and out within 10 or 15 mins. There was no wait my number was called before I sat down. They have it well orgainzed as to what you need to get done and the people working there are friendly and are always in a pleasant mood.

I had to bring in an elderly neighbor to apply for a ID we were called with in 5 min apon arriving. The service we received was excellent! ! Great job.

Renew driver's licence and change of address. No wait and quick service. Tim was great. In and out in 10 minutes tops.

This used to be the best service for DMV/tax collector office. Apparently, it has recently changed. 2 weeks ago on a Monday, I waited nearly 90 minutes to get new tags and registration for an RV. Because it's new, the dealer sent the title to our lender. I had with me all of the paperwork my dealer said I would need to complete this task. The technician "Travis" and his supervisor were confused about why my lender had title. I was in a bind and ready to go camping that week. They conferred and we're ready to give me a temporary registration when at last minute he asked me if I had a fancy brown and white manufacturer's certificate. Sure! It's been in the documents I provided the whole time! With a laugh and a cruel smile he sent me on my way to either go get my husband or a power of attorney, then come back and start over. Total time spent was 2 hours, 15 minutes. Website doesn't work for making an appointment and no answer on the phones today.
