Pio Pio Latin Cuisine reviews
15Started out super pleasant, called and placed a take out order with a nice gentleman. I needed to make my order bigger so I tried calling back 20 min later. I called 10 times, sometimes with no answer and other times with an answer but no one actually saying anything. When the lady finally answered the phone she pretty much yelled and me saying there are no takeout orders because the restaurant is too busy. I tried telling her I had an order already that I just needed to expand but she said no takeout. She finally listened that I had an existing order and I was able to order more food. When I got there, she had the nastiest attitude and snatched the credit card out of my hand as I tried to pay. Next time I’ll drive further and go to the one on Kirkman
Was excited to come and eat here since I have known them from their previous location. I was disappointed with my Bandeja Paisa, the beef steak was smaller than my hand palm size and thin as paper. The pork did not have any seasoning and was given yellow rice instead of white rice and wasn't even asked on that option.
The food was outstanding. It was Sat eve and very busy. We we a large group snd it took awhile to receive dinner. The waitstaff was pleasant but harried. I will return again.
I came with my family for a birthday party and hand the worst waiter in the history of going out to eat. I arrived 30 min before anyone else, I waited 1 hour for 4 empanadas and then when I ask him about it he said he forgot. I told him to forget about it and ordered my dinner, he gave me my meal incorrect, when I ordered wine he brought one instead of two. It was just one thing after the other wrong and when other arrived it was the same for them. Highly disappointed I'm the waiter who didn't accept help and did the worse job ever.
Long time favorite (1998 on OBT) even now more popular, bigger a franchise? And STILL staying strong!
I had eaten at Pio Pio previously but took my husband last night for the first time! He asked me no less than a dozen times why he hadn’t been there before because he thought it was so good. We absolutely loved the meal, everything was delicious! The place is decorated very cute and it looked very clean. Will definitely be back
This place is very nice, has alot of variety on the menu, i always look for cocktails in the menu and this place has some really good ones
Two times I’ve ordered take out. Pnlynreqson I gave it a second chance is bc I thought maybe everyone has a bad day. This place can’t be associated with the original in NYC. First time i ordered they gave th e red baller and it was awful. Tasted like rancid oil. And fish was no good. I gave it a pass. Today I ordered over 100 dollars worth of food and I was let down again. They sent me Jalea which is supposed to have talapia and shrimp and calamari and octopus and mussels with tomatoes with lime. It came with chewy and old tasting calamari and yuca ONLY. Such a let down. Super disappointed. I called the restaurant and then they try and tell me they had no calamari today. They went and checked and then asked for a picture. Here’s the picture. Don’t waste your time here. Quality and customer service is horrible. Better off trying eating so many Latin restaurants any where else in Orlando.
2 times I came and the churrasco was not available. The manager never came to explain why after we placed the order the item was not available. Also they tend to stack plates on top of each other when they bring the food, a bad practice because the bottom of a plate is touching the food on the other plate. The server was nice and police. Food no so good.
One of the most embarrassing moments of my life! After not getting my empanadas in my to go order (got yucca fries which I did not order) I called and returned to get my empanadas and I mistakenly thought no flan as well. I was asked if I brought the yucca fries back? Which I did not because I opened them at my house. There was a lady speaking in spanish entirely to the young lady helping me, she was very angry and pointing at her phone. I understood some because my mother in law is from spain but not completely. Apparently the flan was in a small plastic bag that I had mistaken for green sauce, she proceeded to show me the security footage of the tiny bag with flan in it! I said my mistake I thought that was the sauce, I will gladly pay for the yucca fries and will take my empanadas please. I never write reviews but I was totally embarrassed. I paid $60 for food and had to return for missing items and shown footage of a tiny bag of flan. Needless to say. I'm sticking to my mother in laws flan and empanadas from here on out! Long time customer, no longer! We have brought many friends and family to this establishment for years but will never again.
No hace falta decir. ¡¡¡Me quedo con el flan y las empanadas de mi suegra de aquí en adelante!
Unfortunate dissapointment! Esperabamos mejor. While the food overall was OK, the biggest disappointment were the arepas and empanadas. The arepas were nothing like the ones I have experienced, these were basically white corn tortillas with cheese on top and not as the tasty as the yellow arepas with cheese in between. The empanadas were well made, i.e. Crispy yellow corn, with plenty of stuffing, chicken or beef but tasteless; and we were not given any sauce for these. However the chaufa, chicken soup, and saltado were good but not impressive. With other options out there, I would not recommend this place.
Food was over price for Latin food, food was not that great, I was charged twice for my tip and the bill was wrong from the start. I will never eat here again.
Atmosphere is nice and inviting. Their food was good and good price with nice size portions. Their drinks depends on their bartender though. I was not happy with the classic mojito but my waiter did change it with no problem. Their straight shots are no problem. Nice place and I will be back again to try agin.
Great food. We have the Bandeja Paisa. Really good sausage. The rice was really good and the beans too. They have the spice of the américas right. The tostones were really good too. Try the empanadas they are delicious.
Great experience, great staff, and the food is freaking delicious. The mofongo was on point and empanadas were amazing. Will go again when in town.
