Pioneers Pizza Punta Gorda

Food was good but surprised they do not offer free refills on soda and iced tea. When we got our bill we were charged for the refill, even questioned the waitress and it was correct.

My wife and I sat at the bar for lunch. Service was great and food was excellent. I had lunch special, 2 slices of cheese pizza. Size of a slice is huge. Wife had 1 slice and Hawaiian Salad. Huge salad and it was great. Will definitely go back.

Credit cards/debit cards offer benefits to both the consumer and the businesses. I don’t have to carry cash, and it’s easier to spend money. The business benefits from it being easier for me to spend money (because I’m more likely to buy something from the business), not having incur the cost of cash handling, going to banks as much, and the general ease of electronic transactions. For all these benefits there is a small fee for each transaction. To charge more for me to use a card is absurd. I believe it’s about 5 percent. You are benefiting from the use of the card, which is why there is a fee. I’ve been in many times, and the pizza is great, But this type of nickel and diming just because you can, and knowing most use a card and therefor can skim another 5% leaves a bad taste as it were and I unfortunately can no longer enjoy your establishment. It won’t break you but there goes about 500 bucks I would’ve spend there this year, Becuase you wanted to skim a few bucks off the top.

A funky restaurant with some killer pizzas! A great Date night option or easy family meal. The service was good, nothing incredible, but the pizza is truly incredible. I know, you're thinking it's pizza, how incredible could it be? They use seemingly good quality ingredients and the pizza just has a taste that resembles NY pizza. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be back again!

Went there for dinner tonight. All 4 of us thoroughly loved our Pizzas and Erica our waitress did an excellent job

Nothing like a beer and a pizza when you don't feel like cooking. The help was amazing, the food was delicious. They do make a good pie.

Excellent Italian food. The pizza is thin crust and the sauce is perfect. This was a great find and we will be going more often.

Food was a disappointment. I have been coming here since they opened and enjoyed it ever time. I had the tortellini, salad and bread sticks. Tortellini was hard, the sauce too heavy, bread sticks were reheated in microwave

Oh my gosh, I just ordered the spinach ravioli with pesto and I have never tasted anything so awesome in my life!
That will be a regular meal for me! Absolutely the best!

Calzones were excellent served with plenty of excellent marinara sauce. Prices were good. Also their bread sticks had cheese with garlic butter or marinara dipping sauces.
Interior was basic, casual. TVs if want sports, and clean.

We were there few times with friends, last time was about a month a go, we were very surprised when we got the check we were charged $3.50 for TAP-water, for us is not acceptable.

Love their food! Great service and nice people. Just don't show up 20 min before close.and hope to get seated.lol

Always a good slice at Pioneers Pizza! I wish they would put the pepperoni on prior to cooking the pizza for those of us getting slices but that's a very minor irritation. The dude that serves during lunch is great! Attentive but not too much so and quick to take care of whatever. I enjoy the atmosphere here as they have a good size bar, plenty of TV's and just a nice facility overall.

Worse service ever, plus very dirty
Second time I go there and make me sit in a dirty table and when I asked to clean she just cleaned half way and left plus she got us garlic bread stick, she drop a few on the table and left there without cleaning. Once this happ just stand up pay for the drinks and left
Never see me and family there again
The only think the manager did great is to swapped my credit card for pay for drinks

The food was amazing! Bartender and entire staff super friendly and quick. Definitely recommend this place.

Hawaiian Pizza on point! Stella on draft no Stella glass: (Go for the pizza, not the service. Id suggest setting a the bar for more attentive service.

Great pizza. Friendly service and a nice looking restaurant inside. Good lunch special as well.
