Pirates Cove Marina and Boat Club reviews
15 Bought our Tugboat from here and found everyone to be very friendly. Thank you Bobby and all your lovely staff for all your help.
Kathy & Jonathon
Boat club is awesome. Sue and Bobby are friendly and the boats are great. We have enjoyed the club for a few years now. I’d recommend this club to anyone who loves the Gulf of Mexico.
Boat Club is awesome - best decision we've made in awhile. Thank you for such a smooth boating experience!
The bad reviews are true. Had we known about Lyin' Bobby (as they all call him) and his scams, lack of friendly personality, we would never have brought our boat to them. I never write reviews, however this place pushed me way past my limit. Some of the dock staff is nice, management (owner) is horrendous. They don't care about their customers and will make you feel like you owe them something every time you walk in that disastrous building. Susan up front next to Bobby's office is no better, don't let that fake personality fool you, the truth comes out eventually.
There are MANY nicer marina's out there and i'm sure glad we're finally out of that place!
I store my boat here for high and dry. They have been nothing but absolutely awesome. All of the crew is polite courteous and respectful. They always try to help me out. By the way this is not a fake review. I've had my boat there for about 3 or 4 months and I'm a happy customer.
DO NOT STORE YOUR BOAT HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT IT!
They don’t care, destroy the gelcoat of every boat they touch. Management and the owner aren’t nice people. If I had seen the other reviews here I would never have stored my boat here. Ever. I took several photos of the boats they destroy with the lifts (see attached). Just look at the bottom of the transoms and you’ll see. Ridiculous! So many other marinas out there that cost much less and actually care. Also, they write their own reviews. Whoever cliff cliff is, I’ve been in that marina for over a year and never seen that boat other than the fact they sell boats and that’s the rack they put their for sale boats on in his photo. Scammers X 1,000,000
From my experience with this marina I can only give the one star, I find them very unfriendly and not helpful.
I got stuck in mud 100 feet away and they refused to tow me in, in fact I was asked to leave the premises because I asked one boater to if he can pull me out to the open water.
Such a great experience being apart of the boat club. All the luxuries of owning a boat, with none of the hassle. Great experience every time!
Lots of fake 5-star reviews from paid shills, but the real deal is Pirates Cover is a ripoff. If you want to rent a polluting, noisy machine that kills dolphins and manatees and isn't safe for you either, Pirates Cove is your place.
We love Pirates Cove! Sue is great and a pleasure to speak with. We have been a member of Fun Boat Club for over a year now and throughly enjoy our time on the gulf, but the service we receive from the staff is truly what keeps us members, that along with always being able to get a boat whenever we want. Highly reccomend Fun Boat club to any family, couple or individual looking for a family owned genuine club, with wholesome service. Unlike the other corporate boatclubs that your just another number too
Location is ideal for getting you out in the gulf quick. Friendly staff is always there to help!
Great place, great people and the best service! If your considering joining a boat club, check out Fun Boat Club. Family owned and much better than the big corporate boat clubs that have hundreds of members to keep track of and share boats with.
Preston and the staff were so amazing. Fast service, boat was clean and well maintained. Thank you!
I called this dealer for service on my new outboard many times. I was never able to schedule a visit for a minor service. I was told several times that someone would call me back to schedule a day for services, but they never did. Today I decided to personally go to the dealer, and possibly speak to one of the mechanics about a minor problem that I have on my new outboard DF-250. I was not allowed to speak to anybody in person, and I was told again, that someone would call me back. I will report this unacceptable behavior to corporate, Japan, Better Business Bureau in Florida, etc. Unbelievable!
I almost died on one of their death traps they call boat don’t join the boat club. Unless you don’t care about your life I was one of the two that sank at the Dunedin reef you may or may not have seen it on the news. There was no vhf radio to call for help the flares were expired. Thank god we had cell phone reception to call for help or I wouldn’t be here writing this.
