Pit Surf Shop, St. Augustine FL

Liz was great. The waves were small but she helped so that I was able to get up and ride the ones there. If at age 67 I can do it, anyone can.

This is an amazing Surf Shop! My sons and I took a surf lesson with Liz - she had everyone up and riding on the first wave taken to shore! The store staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about their products and lines-one of us is taking home a really nice pair of shades. In addition, I had lost my wallet, they found it and are mailing it back! We will definitely visit them each time we are in St. Augustine Beach!

Bailey was an amazing surf instructor, I've never had someone so enthusiastic or excellent at explaining things. I feel like I've learned so many things!
Bodie was great at setting me up, and I have him to thank for tips on surfing!

My 3 boys and I had a blast with our surf instructor’s. They worked the whole 2 hours to get us on some great rides.

Our daughters had their first surf lesson ever with Liz and they LOVED her. They’re 15 and 10 and of different abilities etc…and Liz was amazing juggling both and giving them each what felt like a tonne of attention. Everyone at the shop was incredible. Will was fantastic. We chatted with him forever before booking. Great shop. Great people. Great lesson with a stellar instructor!

We've shopped at Pit on numerous occasions over the years. Our most recent purchase was a "new to us" surfboard in the consignment section. Our go to person is usually Bodie, and he does not disappoint! He helped my son select the perfect board, based upon his current size and skill set on the water, and examined it for defects. Bodie is knowledgeable, honest, and trustworthy, and goes above and beyond to provide an awesome customer service experience!

Father daughter lessons planned by phone. Bodie welcomed us to the shop and was awesome. Ryan was surf instructor and he was awesome too. Very attentive and worked hard to make sure they learned a lot and had a great time. We will definitely be back! Many more times!

Did a group surfing lesson today with Gavin and Robbie. They did a fantastic job and we're very patient and just an overall a pleasure to be around. This is a fantastic experience for someone wanting to try surfing while in town. Highly recommend

I can’t say enough great things about the staff at the Pit Surf Shop. For my bachelor party, we booked a lesson and our three instructors did an exceptional job. Most of us had never surfed before and everyone caught some waves, and we all improved our riding. They took pictures, and made sure everyone had a great time. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a lesson, rental, or just to check out the vibe!

I live in the area and have been looking for a wetsuit for a while, but hadn't been able to find anything or any help at other surf shops. My expectations were blown away by the knowledge, advice, personality, help, and customer service from Will. He went above and beyond, talking me through all of the wetsuit nuances, brands, styles, and on and on. He had incredible patience, answered all of my questions and more. He even taught me the plastic bag trick for putting a wetsuit on! I found the perfect wetsuit and I can't wait to get in the water.
Also, he educated me on the surf here in St. Augustine, how to get started, and gave me a bunch of tips.

I returned to the shop today (1/8/23), and the whole team was amazing-Will, Pat, and Bodie. Bodie answered even more of my questions. I definitely will be coming back time and time again for anything I need - and telling everyone that this is the place to go!
