First and foremost, I had been eating their food in all of my college years at FSU and would usually consider it to be one of my favorite spots to eat here in Tallahassee, FL. However, after years have gone by I thought it would be great to finally visit their new location.

Unfortunately, my latest visit will be my last. A few weeks ago, while approaching the drive thru with one car ahead of me took approximately 10-15 minutes until I was next in line to order. Sadly, another 10-15 minutes until I would receive my order. However, I was not frustrated because I had already been aware of the long waits due to their terrible operation system. After receiving my food, I noticed she forgot my ranch sauce and drink that we purchased. Once requested, she had an attitude and would later tell me that we were the reason for holding up their line. I found that very comical due to the fact that you’re not able to order before approaching the window, a long wait to receive your order and then hands me an incomplete order. I take customer service very seriously. Complete unsatisfied!

Pitaria is the best local owned greek restaurant in Tallahassee. Get the traditional gyro, everything tasted fresh!

I've eaten Greek food throughout the Southeastern United States and I have to say this place is the best I've ever had. It's family owned and ran, and honestly, these folks must love what they do because it shows in their food. Y'all, I had a vegetarian platter and it has changed the way I look at food entirely. I usually eat vegetarians (talking cows here, not people), but I swear I could easily convert to the "green side" (it's a Star Wars joke, get it?) Anyway, if you're in the Tallahassee area, come in, order something, order anything, and you'll love it. Plus, they have the best baklava I've ever had in my life (and yes, I've had authentic Baklava made by somebody's 86 year old grandmother from the old country; this was better).

The food was ok. I had a Gyro plate that was lacking for the price. Everything was covered on Cavender's Greek seasoning which I do like.

Staff & service are fantastic- food is awful. Was visiting from out of town and decided to give it a try. I should have taken the hint from the empty parking lot. I got the beef kabobs, fries, side of tzakiki, greek salad and baklava. The beef kabobs were the tiniest, chewiest pieces of meat I've ever had. The meat quantity per skewer was even less than what a hot dog would have been. The "fries" were nasty and over-seasoned. They were basically terrible potato chips. The tzakiki had no flavor. The pita was under cooked. The salad was fresh but the dressing looked like straight up red wine vinegar and nothing else in it. Watery and gross. The baklava was great.

Like I said, the staff was great. Friendly, helpful and efficient. But the food was just so, so bad.

I thought this was casual dining and ended up with a bill larger than Osaka! To sum up our experience:
Gyros contained microscopic meat, very few vegetables and flooded with what appeared to be sour cream.and cold potatoes. The hummus was a rip off. The pita bread was ok…probably purchased somewhere else and not toasted. I have eaten Mediterranean food for 30 years in other states. This was a total rip-off and a really poor example of what is normally delicious food.

Expensive price for small portions. There wasn’t anything really special or outstanding about it. Sadly wouldn’t go back: (

Gone here for a while but whoever you have cooking 2/7/2023 only gave my Togo order half the gyro. I'll never come back.

The cashier acted like he had an attitude!? For what i have no idea? Food was ok but pita fries serving was insulting! I cant recommend this establishment at this time.

I ordered the lamb gyro for lunch, mind blown! The flavors are so delicious and complimentary. I enjoyed every last bite, and will be back!

Fries were okay but full of hot pockets of steam so careful of burning your lips. Every hot component of the lamb and chicken gyros was rubbery and tasted as if it were thrown in the microwave. Hardly any sauce to help with the dry chicken. Few fries for being persuaded to get a combo instead of a side to split. Will not be returning.

The food was okay, nothing to awe about with small portion for the price paid. Cashier friendly

11/10!
Delicious food, my Gyro was delicious and the Greek fries. Also to mention, the two servers gave my dog some extra meat, definitely will be back again! Friendly staff and hot delicious food!

For the price, this is a really good gyro. I also really like the Greek potato chips, but I like asking for extra Greek seasoning. I wasn't overly impressed with the hummus, and will probably skip it next time, and try something new instead. But the gyro really is very good.

The best Gyro in turn just got better with the addition of the spice and sauce bar. Some made from scratch

I've tried all the gyro places in town and I always leave disappointed. Not with Pitaria!
They're always fresh and overflowing with meat and toppings. It's definitely my favorite drive thru.

They have a tendency to overcook their chicken, but otherwise are an excellent little Mediterranean food place that’s been around a long time. I LOVE their pita fries!

I ordered by phone 15 minutes before I arrived. Waited inside for another 10 minutes to get waited on. Waited another 10 minutes for my food. They gave part of my order to someone at a table got it back from that person and bagged it for me to take out. When I said something about it. I was told they didn’t open it when I saw the person open it and tell them it was not her food. I will not be back if this is a habit of getting food that has been given to someone else. With all the germs floating around this is unsanitary.
