Pizza Gorda, Punta Gorda FL

Our table for two was not very sturdy. It was easy for things to wobble & end up on the floor.

Pizza to go was beautifully made.very appealing. Our 1st time purchase and very happy. Great Friendly Service. Looking forward to returning. Great place and atmosphere to take guests when they visit.

Excellent food and service every visit! We love Pizza Gorda and so do all our guests. Everything is delicious and homemade with quality ingredients from their soup, salads, sandwiches, entrees and mouthwatering desserts! I highly recommend this wonderful family restaurant. Consider making reservations for indoor or outdoor seating as Pizza Gorda is very popular!

We tried Pizza Gordy tonight. We started with meatballs, which were good. The meatballs were served with a piece of bread on the bottom of each. We were never offered bread so I guess this qualifies as your bread. There was no bread basket as typical of most Italian restaurants. We ordered entrees of linguini with clam sauce and lasagna. Salads were extra charge and were quite large. Salads were good. The entrees were good but not as good as other Italian places in Venice. Our problem with the whole experience was service, which I can say was pretty poor. When you have to ask for everything that’s not good service in my opinion. The restaurant became completely occupied and there was one server. No one could expect to give quality service with just one server and that many tables. One last item that colored the evening is the bench banquette it is awkward and extremely uncomfortable. It is elevated and down right clumsy. It is not cheap either. I’m padding it with 4 stars but I don’t want to be cruel.

We love this place. Food is authentic and fresh. Recommendresevation for dinner. Has outdoor seating as well. Enjoy!

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The waitress was really sweet. I really enjoyed the golosa pizza and the salad we ordered. I will be back.

Had a party of 8 for my grandmother's 81st birthday today.the food was delicious and fresh, service was wonderful. But what was beyond my expectations was that, when my 3yr old was walking thought the restaurant and noticed the pizza oven, the chef came over and said hello, asked her if she liked pizza, talked to her about the oven, when he saw she was excited. He invited her to see how the oven works, and showed us how they roll the dough. Made all of our day. Wonderful people and fresh delicious food.

The staff was very friendly & atmosphere quaint & cozy. The food was excellent, as well as, the presentation. Will definitely recommend & return!

We got a small 4 cheese pizza to go. We didn’t realize the 4 cheese didn’t have sauce, but it was still was delicious! We’ll definitely be back to dine in.

First of all, we loved the location! We sat outside on a beautiful Florida night! Our baked ziti was excellent! We also enjoyed the antipasto! Lots of meat, cheese and some olives! Although there could have been some softer crackers or bread of some sort! Our friend had margarheta pizza which looked excellent and another friend had chicken Parmigiana which also looked very good! If you’re in Punta Gorda, you should definitely give this restaurant a try!

We love this little Italian restaurant. They have such mouth watering food. We had the Pouchie. Mmmmmm

The food here is mostly amazing. The wood fire oven is the magic. The garlic knots are delicious. They have a procuto rolltini (spelling?) That dish, as my son said is decadent. The procuto gets crispy on the edges and the dish has a smokey yummy. We also had the artichoke hearts and they were delicious.
The pizza and calzones are delicious. The fish, very good the only dish I was not thrilled with was during our first visit, a pasta dish with seafood and the pasta was clumped together and the sauce to pasta ratio off for me. But this minor bump did not stall my enthusiasm for Pizza Gorda ️ It's a Wonderful place. Service is very good. Atmosphere is also very nice. They will be seeing us again soon.

So UNORGANIZED! Offered us a table, then took it back for another set of customers (they forgot about). Then we were upset about the situation and how unapologetic they were. It was a mess! Save yourself some time and go to manatees or monteys! Both better service and staff!

Excellent service and food really has an Italian aroma. Definitely go back and bring friends to.

Don’t eat here. Foreign host is rude. Asking people to leave because he doesn’t want their business is completely unprofessional. Nothing like i’ve ever seen before, get a system to keep customers happy.
