I’m going to start flushing trash and recycling down the toilet if we don’t get bins

Y’all really expecting old people to drag trash bags and recycling bags to the front of the house?
Despicable

I called the Plantation Police Department this morning and spoke with Dispatcher LaBow (sp?). She was friendly and helpful but when I was transferred to the Public Works Department I was met on the other end of the phone by a woman who was condescending and ill-mannered. I had called for advice about saving 4 ducklings stuck in a sewer. A friend of mine had called earlier about the same thing and my friend had told me how rude this same woman was. Unfortunately, I do not have her name as she mumbled it when she answered the phone. Explaining the situation, the woman at public works assumed I was the one who called her earlier and spat over the phone, " Are you the same person that called this morning. " After explaining I was not, she told me that no one can help on private property. I asked here to look up the address to make sure it was private property and she told me anyplace with a parking lot is private. I then asked if we could try and remove the grate as private citizens and she went into a dissertation about how we will be responsible to pay for the grate if it is damaged and if we drop it into the sewer we would be in bigger trouble and she went on. Her manner and the intonation of her voice was so cold and rude. She showed NO EMPATHY whatsoever. I remarked to her that she showed no kindness or concern, no empathy in a time of Covid-19 when everyone is stressed. I also remarked that I am not obtuse and she needs to be kinder. She fell silent until I asked her did she have anything else to tell me about the situation and she barked, "NO". I let her know I would be reporting her which I did. I called back the Plantation PD and the same dispatcher answered. I relayed what had just transpired with Public Works and Dispatcher LaBow (sp?) said she does not know who her supervisor is and would have to find out who I spoke with. The dispatcher informed me I would be on hold quite a while as she tried to find this information. I asked her to have someone call me back and as of know, I am still waiting. THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE UNEMPLOYED THAT WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THE JOB AT PUBLIC WORKS AND IF THIS WOMAN IS SO UNHAPPY AND LETS IT OUT ON THE PUBLIC, PERHAPS SHE NEEDS TO RESIGN UNTIL SHE CAN DELIVER A KINDER ATTITUDE. 07/07/20: A phone call has still not come in to address this issue. No professionalism, very poor form. Apparently the supervisor and leadership here condone bad behavior and endorse it. No one has the standards to call me and address this issue per the promise yesterday that a supervisor would call me back yesterday.

Friendly, helpful staff. Was able to drop off tons of yard waste here with no problems. Very very impressed with plantation as a whole.
