The owner replied how is that? Then the owner reply says if I do not explain why I left my real life experience with their company my review will not be valid the staff rude the owner rude and I’ll never go there again and I don’t recommend it to no person as the owner answer your own questions send a secret shopper there your staff are not professional the customer always right

I attempted to sell some clothes to this place. They were all designer, many new with tags. The ladies refused them because they claimed they were all "custom fitted clothes" and they only take clothes with "S, M, L, XL". I attempted to explain that these were not custom fit and the clothing sizes were European sizing, as most designers are. They refused ALL but 6 items. Ralph Lauren, Nautica, Pierre Cardin, Roberto Cavalli, cashmere sweaters, lots of Greg Norman golf attire. Nope. They've "never heard of Cavalli" and treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about. They offered me just under $17 for the 6 items that were brand new, never worn. I had a few shirts that were still in the plastic with tags and the girls opened them and destroyed the plastic. Smh. Don't bother with this place. They don't have anything nice and the lady claiming to be the owners wife is clueless regarding fashion. Don't go here. The clothes they do have are overpriced. Offer me $3 for a brand new $250 Ralph Lauren Jacket when you know you're gonna charge $45?
The owner needs to spend some time educating his wife and employees about fashion, these people are clueless. Never heard of Cavalli, probably doesn't know the difference between purple label and green label RL, won't take designer clothes because they don't know what European sizing is. It's quite comical.

Only reason not 5 stars is because they don't have hardly anything for guys, not there fault, they can only work with what is donated or sold to them. Staff is awesome!

People are amazing there and helpful. Prices are clothing are amazing. Got 2 dresses for a friend's wedding beautiful and only paid 9.99 for both. My go to place for clothes

Ever since they opened and now even to this day the girls never smile, I guess wearing people’s turned in hand me downs has them acting like Regina George. It’s Plato’s not Gucci. Lol. Smile be friendly, and lose the snob attitude.

I loved it staff was friendly. Clothes were clean. I bought a lot of things I will be a regular.

I know this isn’t at all the stores just this location. I brought a basket full of clothes whatever there stuff that’s brand new good condition. I drop it off and literally 10 min later I get a call saying it’s ready I go back they took barely anything and I don’t say anything to them I just take the 27$ I got and leave go home to look through and see what was wrong with the clothes because they were saying they didn’t take the clothes because they were used even though they were brand new… turns out they didn’t even go through the entire basket half of it was folded the exact same way I put it in before going. What a waste of time for them to not even look through it then lie to me and say they are used. The Sarasota location does not do that they at least look at the stuff you bring lol I recommend to anyone who wants their stuff to be bought go to Sarasota location not port Charlotte. Trash. Wouldn’t be a big deal that they didn’t take the clothes but for it to be the exact same way I brought it in is ridiculous.

They gave me my items they did not accept back in worse condition then when I brought them in. At least act like you care. Unacceptable.

And there you are on cue. The only time you give extended comments is to “excuse or defend yourself”, pretty petty. If someone brings in clothes nice and folded and organized its always returned tossed in a box wrinkled and balled up. No care at all. Set some kind of standard. Have a little pride in your job. Sorting through clothes can be time consuming, but leaving something how you found it shouldn’t. I had a pearly white Mitchell and ness collectible flat bill hat in mint condition. Got it back smashed, bent and discolored with marks all over it at the bottom of the box. You can’t just bend these back in place they are shaped hats. $50 hat ruined because it “didn’t pass” or whatever. All I got was a “sorry” which wasn’t the slightest bit sincere. Also I don’t care if it was $50-$5,000 you gave me, you basically just said “we paid you, shut up” in your reply. Mind blowing. You could have said no to all of the items. That’s not the point. It’s a little respect, that’s all. Keep doing what you do though. I know you will.

I LOVE platos. Very cheap and always had discounts. There is new clothes everyday to choose from and you can exchange clothes for money. Love this shop

I’ve been to so many Plato’s closets across the United States and this one takes the cake. They are extremely organized with very good taste in style. The employees are extremely helpful and the owner is so nice. They are very upfront about what they are looking to buy before looking at clothes. All name brands are also very well priced. 10/10 would recommend this platoes to anyone looking to sell or buy.

I went in about a month ago Clothes and price are amazing but a red head and brunette girl when I was checking out made fun of another customer and snickered completely rude, man was nice though

I went about 2 weeks ago. The girl with the ginger hair was extremely rude. Kept rolling her eyes, I asked for help on the purses and she asked someone else to do it. One of the girls came out with a bin or purses and ginger head grabbed a purse and wanted to keep it for her self. I thought employees can’t do that? Anyways I was truly disappointed with how these girls run the store. Need better employees

If I could give 0 stars I would! I Dropped off 2 clear bins of mostly new clothes with tags to go back an hour later for what clothes they didn’t take and my $150.00 for purchasing my brand new 120 items! You do the math! To only get a phone call from Melissa later in the day saying they found 4 more items while they were tagging my items they purchased and they owed me $4.20. I told her I wasn’t going to make it back in for awhile. When I went back for cash they told me they put it on a store credit! This place is a rip off! How do you find 4 items! No more this place is horrible plus the man that works there is so rude! I will be putting my new items on Poshmark!
