I called to get a quote on a service and my response was “Um I don’t have time for that” I understand being busy but you can always say things nicely like sorry I’m busy right now if you come in I can better assist you. I’m glad I called before I went in and gave my hard earned money to someone who is rude and doesn’t know how to treat potential customers.

I came to Playa Auto Care last Thursday with high hopes after reading the majority positives reviews about this place. I damaged the splash shield of my car and went in to get it removed and inquire about what the prices would be for a new part and installation. From the moment I pulled in, the owner was cold and condescending. I did not even recognize it was the owner at first because he was barking orders out his car door window at an employee (who was talking to me). I felt very unwelcomed and uncomfortable being a first time client.

I asked to get my splash shield removed, and knew there would be a price involved, and the owner barked out his window, “Charge her, do not do it for free”, which I did not ask for a free service. To clarify, they did not have to lift my car up, get underneath it, or go out of their way physically to move a PIECE of the splash shield that was not bigger than 2-3 inches. They cut it off and it took less than a minute and I was charged 30 dollars. Then, the employee helping me attempted to negotiate a price for installation and the actual part itself with me recognizing the absurd price I was charged to cut off a small piece of the splash shield.

I have called seven other nearby mechanics to compare prices and each place I have called was cheaper in the part as well as installation.

Although this place is right around where I live, I will never be returning here again. I know I was overcharged and def not treated with respect as a client.

Went to get my O2 sensor changed yesterday and let me tell you it was the best mechanic shop experience I've had. Was in and out in less than 30 min. Since the moment I walked in I was greeted like it was my own home, best customer service in the Dade area for sure. The mechanic Juan was very nice and friendly and really knows his stuff. These people do not mess around. Pricing was very fair but I cannot stress enough how professional and nice the staff is. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Rolando also cleared my check engine light for free even after I declined to get it cleared for an additional charge. Thank you Rolando, Juan and Playa Auto care. Will definitely be coming here for any future repairs

I took my car for a service, when I picked it up it had a very bad hit on the left side, the owner says they didn't do it, but my car is Perfect, without any damage.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Was on vacation in Miami, and the starter went bad in my civic. Initially, We took it to pep boys, and the experience was horrible! They had the car for over 24 hours and did nothing. We thought we were going to be stranded in Miami until after Memorial Day. Marc and Rolondo had the car for 5 hours on a Friday before a holiday and had it fixed.and saved almost 200$ So professional, responsive, and respectful. If We lived in Miami, Playa Auto would be our full-time mechanic.

I love the staff and the education they provide every time I get service. I appreciate all they do.

This was my first time at Playa Auto Care and I’ll definitely be going back for any future repairs. Marc helped me and was super great! Took the time to explain everything that was wrong with my car and answered all my questions with patience. Very honest, quick service, and fair prices! Would definitely recommend!

Mark used to be at another auto shop. I really missed him alot. Been over a year. So glad to see that he is at a new home. Known him for over 10 years. I will be seeing him soon. I haven't been to Playa auto yet.the 4 stars is for Mark.

Very happy with Playa Auto Care. Marc Cohen took care of me and fixed my car. I could tell they are 100% honest. He kept me posted throughout the repair which was done in a timely manner. I'll definitely be going back to Marc for all my future repairs.
