BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. The A/C was horrible, people lingering around the apartment buildings, car BREAK INS with absolute NO SECURITY FOOTAGE, maintenance was horrible, but management was worse, STAY FAR AWAY! It was a nice apartment complex to live in at first but as time went it just got worst and worst. STAY AWAY!

ATTENTION Tenants, Landlords and Property Managers! The Players Club Apartments and Olen Living will charge its tenants $35 for a verification of residence, therefore hindering their approval for their next moving place. I'm sure they get their verification for free from others, yet they charge!
~~~~~~~ 10/05/2020 ~~~~~~~~~~
This is just a pubic notice so you are aware of this CHARGE BEFORE you chose this place.
Best of wishes to their Tenants
Where do i start, let me first warn you guys to possibly not make the mistake of signing a lease with this apartment. FIRST off, once we got the keys we went to the apartment to take a look at the apartment and we turned the AC on 58 degrees so that the next morning when we move in the Apartment would be cold. We got back the next morning the AC was NOT COLD. Mind you the ac had been on for roughly 24hrs it should’ve cooled by then. We found ROACHES in our cabinets. We called these ppl numerous times about roaches they sent some guy to the apartment which took 3times the only thing he brought with him was some type of GLUE to put under the cabinets and told us close our drains at night, He have not once sprayed The apartment. They did NOT fix the issue WE had to pay out of pocket for an outside company to come and fix the issue. NEXT is noisy neighbors that make noise from 10am to 11pm at night constant stomping and running all day and night, of course we called the office to complain. We were told call the police numerous times so one night we did and they pretty much told us they can’t do anything about it. Every time we called they would say hold the phone up to the roof so they can hear. REALLY? So they pretty much said we were lying they kept saying they’re serving her with attorney papers which i doubt ever happened. They told us WE had to pay 500 and apply all over again in order to leave the current apartment that we were living in, the noise was so bad that we were willing to move to another apartment. The manager said we can move for 500 DOLLARS! Apply all over again and pay application fees or WAIT until September when the noisy neighbors leave. We chose to wait because we don’t have 500 to just give these unprofessional ppl in order to move and have peace and quiet in a place that we pay rent for every month. AC! They sent someone out a few times with some type of thermometer to get the temperatures of each room which makes no sense at all. The manager told me the “licensed” Maintenance guy said that the air was blowing fine, but WHY ARE WE HOT AND SWEATING AT NIGHT IN THE HOUSE if the AC is working fine. We kept complaining and the manager finally sent the same “licensed” maintenance guy back to install a “NEW AC”, for the first hour or two it felt better then the next day back to being HOT in a place that we’re paying rent for each month. We contacted her and she forward us what the “licensed maintenance guy emailed her that he supposedly installed a brand new AC. But the question is, why isn’t it cooling in the house if you just installed a BRAND NEW AC the day before.
Players Club does not care about their renters. As long as they are full and making their money, they make no effort to provide reasonable solutions to residents with issues. Instead we get name called, lied to and absolutely no accountability. Oh yeah and it is totally okay with them if a mom and her kids have to park across the street and walk through a dark parking lot with no security because they will enforce you not parking front of the building but won't make the effort to tow cars that shouldn't be there in the first place.
I have lived at Player's Club off and on for several years. When my lease is up, I'm never coming back. Customer service is unheard of with the Leasing office and their management company.
I've had numerous maintenance issues that take several calls to be properly addressed. I am talked down to and lied to by rude staff. Being told one thing by the person who comes to fix the problem and another by Lisa, the manager, in the office. Both blame the other for making mistakes, while my issue takes longer to get fixed.
It took at least 3 calls to get both minor and some serious issues addressed (such as a washing machine that completely flooded the apartment, an upstairs unit leaking water into my apartment and causing mold to grow and paint to bubble on the roof and walls).
The worst problem prompts me to write this review. After receiving a company vehicle which is wrapped in company logos, I brought the vehicle with the registration to the leasing office to make sure I would have no issue parking. I met with a gentleman named Chris who was helpful at the time, told me it would be no problem and made a copy of my registration to add to my rental file. Since then I parked for months with no problem and no warning. However, overnight my vehicle was towed for being a commercial vehicle. When I called the emergency maintenance line to first determine if it was towed, or stolen, the person who answered was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I called the police dept.who checked the tow log and confirmed the car was towed. To avoid any additional fees I got my vehicle out promptly, the same day, but for a charge of over $150.00.
When I asked to be reimbursed for the charges I was denied and told it was in my lease agreement. When I questioned their reasoning and process based on their own lease agreement, I was told to go to the property management company as they no longer wanted to deal with me.
Under their community policies regarding commercial vehicles: Any violation of this addendum shall result in a posting of a seven day notice to cure per Florida Statute S83. I was never given notice nor warning (and had permission to park!), which according to their lease agreement is required by law.
When I confronted Lisa about this, she stated "no verbal agreements are allowed". The section of the lease she referred to is #48 titled "No Other Agreements". I've read this several times. In no way can this be interpreted to mean that no verbal agreement can be made. It clearly states, "resident, by signing this agreement, states that there are no agreements, understandings, or promises that have been (past tense) or are being made (present tense) by management, the leasing agent, the manager, or any other employee or agent of management with respect to the rental agreement. " This statement and the remaining text in the section are stating that I am not being promised anything different or more than what is written on the rental agreement at the time I signed the lease. Nothing in there states that a verbal agreement with management cannot be reached in the future regarding my stay at Player's Club Apartments.
I had been a tenant who never causes any issues nor have I ever been a source of complaints for other residents. I pay my rent every month in a timely manner. My vehicle was wrongfully towed and they refuse to help resolve the matter, make it right, or even provide me with a solution moving forward. I asked about being put on their "Do not tow list" or if a car cover would be sufficient, and WEEKS LATER still have no answer.
Player's club is rude, ignores you, does the bare minimum that they're required to do and will never do the right thing to help a resident out. Customer service is non existent, there is no empathy or compassion for their customers/tenants.
To management who will write a response to this: you can justify this action, but still be the bad guy in this. This is not how you treat people. I'd recommend anyone who expects good customer service or even just being treated decently to avoid living here.
