Pollo Tropical, Pompano Beach FL

Lived in south Florida since 2004 and have happily eaten at more of these restaurants than I can remember. I've had good and bad accross the map.

This is by far the consistently worst location in the region.

Father's Day, and this where my husband choose, first the end side was closed, do drive thru was backed up, our order was taken and repeated over and over between cashier and my husband. We get home only to find out my plantains were not in bag, and my husband dinner was wrong. So we had to drive 15min, back to restaurant to correct it. Called twice before going no answer. I still give 3 stars because young man was very pleasant. But it would be a while before we returned.

My family loves eating pollo tropical. I just moved into my new place. This pollo tropical is the closest one. I hate going there, i had spent 45 minutes in the drive tru, only 2 cars were in front of me. It happens every time i go to this place. My friend and his family stop buying Pollo there because of the long waits at this place.

I can't believe it. This looks like a plate someone just finished eating this is what I was given. Idk if this was a workers plate and they got confused. It was packaged and given to me with napkins and utensils. I ordered a 1/4 chicken with 2 sides rice bean with corn. I also didn't get my corn this is unbelievable.

The 29th of May, I went to this Pollo tropical drive through made a order after sitting there for about 4mins then a young guy finally responded with the word YOOOOOOO.so at this point I was confused/shocked! I gave my order only for him to ask me to repeat my order twice, im thinking he was possibly under the influence of something.once I made it to the window he gave my order but forgot my fries then a young lady told me to pull up front where I waited about 10minuest so I decided to go inside when the young lady asked me what did I need after looking at me for a few seconds. I told her noone came out with my fries that's when she noticed mine were sitting! Please know in advance this place is what you call Unprofessional, horrible customer service AND GHETTO!

Well now the cashier doesn't know what Cash is cause he was confused on how much change to give me. Or the lady yelling in a thick accent twenty two but it was thirty two. They should change the name to putos tropical.

This place is nothing but a health hazard. Watched the cook grab raw chicken with his hands to put on the grill, then the tongs for the cooked food without changing gloves, and then to top it off he turned around and started handling the vegetables and cups WITH THE SAME GLOVES. Then watched a woman walk out with a tub of raw chicken, spill chicken juice on the floor walked back with the chicken, touched drink cups, all with the same gloves. I'm surprised this place is still open and that nobody has died from salmonella. Steer clear of this place and if you're hungry go anywhere but here, might as well walk into walmart to get food. Will never be back to this location and I hope this place closes down before somebody gets poisoned by their food.

Found this location to be lacking in their food handling. Placed online order and while waiting I saw employees spilling food in other food items, use of cup lids to sweep food off of the counter to floor, lack of hair nets as hats not properly worn to prevent hair from falling in the food, and lack of overall customer service to acknowledge those waiting for pickup. Did not purchase food and asked for refund. Additionally, reported this location to the Health Department. Buyer beware.

They have never ever gotten my order correct. The staff has problems with communicating with each other. The manager seems to let them do what they want. I am tried of letting the manager know. All she does it makes my sandwiches again and she makes they wrong with me standing right there slowly explaining. I do not think corporate cares. I know quite a few people that have had the same experience & let Corporate know too. Do your self a favor & find another location.

Horrible certainly has gone way down low. Fries were hard as a rock. Yellow rice disgusting just a big ball of glue not edible. Also ordered the kids meal chicken breast strips but didn’t get that was really upset. Got a partial drumstick With some dark meat. Upsetting Disappointing & a waste of money absolutely will NEVER go back. Thought I’d give them one last chance after last bad experience what a mistake.

Took a while for the food to come to the window but it was worth it. They also cover up well for covid precautions. The food was delicious. Got the steak trop chop

The employees were nice, however the outside of the place was horrible. The manager needs to stay on top of keeping the outside of the building clean too. This place looks like the slums. Not use to seeing Pollo Tropical looking this.

The person outside was friendly the person who received my money was friendly. The problem is I was told too pull around to received my food and 15 minutes later no one came outside. I went inside to get a refund and no one knew I was waiting. Getting the refund also took a long time and the manager didn't apologize or anything. I try them again only because most of the staff was friendly

This my second day ordering for delivery always mess up no utensils napkins didnt get drinks either and not the right sauces

I’m sure this will go completely ignored by the management and/or owner of this restaurant but allow me to indulge myself.

This place is a mess.

Why bother to list a 10: 30 opening time when you have absolutely no intention of being able to serve customers at this time. Presently it is 10: 35 and the people working on February 24,2021 have informed the drive through line (which is increasing) that they haven’t even opened the register yet and will not be ready to serve for some time. Who knows how long we’ll wait. I’ll make sure to update this when we find out!

Absolute joke.and you wonder why the rest of the world looks at us and shakes their head.

Food is still good just customer service has fallen a bit drive through crowded which is a good thing and if you're ordering on the inside there's only three or four people if that trying to hold down drive through in front counter.

An absolute disgrace. Waited 40 minutes in the drive through. Wasted my whole lunch. Finally get my food and go back to work, and its not even my food! The girl at the window even verified my order when she took my money, but somehow I got the wrong order. Just terrible. I should have saved my time and money and stayed at work.

I show up to boil at 10: 28 p.m. And they tell me that they don't have anything. All they have is half chicken white rice and beans. I don't have sandwiches they don't have anything personally I feel like they were just being lazy because it was close to closing and they didn't want to have to make something. The service was polite but the fact that they were all sitting and being lazy and there I'm pretty upsetting because we really wanted specific things. They were still open with more than enough time to make stuff. When I pulled up to the window you had three employees just sitting back on the stovetop and food area relaxing and laughing at the fact that I was upset over not being able to get the food I wanted and my son wanted.

I've worked in the area for 4 years now and this location has gone downhill big time! They HAD a team that was working as well as the Chick-fil-A drive thru. Now 200% the other way. Orders are wrong, service is slow and items are constantly out of stock. The staff now consist of all teenaged girls with extreme attitudes. This is for the location in front of the Walmart on Powerline Rd and Atlantic Blvd in Pompano Beach, FL.
