Pompano Beach Service Plaza

Typical Turnpike Stop. Restrooms were clean. Convenience Store was well stocked. Gas was a little high.

This review is for Wendy's only.the rest of the service plaza was okay. Don't bother going to Wendy's unless you want different food than what you order, and then if you try to ask about it, you literally get yelled at. If this were a one off, and I was the only one it happened to, I wouldn't be writing this review. But I watched it happen over and over again while I tried to choke down food that I didn't order and I didn't like. Also, don't try to order at the counter. They will either yell at you to use the kiosk to order, or at the very least, roll their eyes and look at you as if you're an idiot while telling you to order at the kiosk. DD and Pizza Hut both allow you to order via the kiosk or at the counter. Don't make that mistake at Wendy's. They are aggressive and mean AND won't get your order correct more than likely.

ZERO stars. SKIP this plaza and go to the next one! Next plaza is 29 miles (north) and of course no Wendy’s. Went inside to order some Wendy’s and were told to go to the kiosk. Cool. The kiosk wouldn’t let us order at all. When I went back up to Wendy’s to let her know the kiosk wasn’t working she could not have cared less. I asked who I need to speak with to resolve this issue (already realizing she was not going to help) she said “there is no one” and treated multiple families right behind us the exact same way. Whoever was working your breakfast today at 9: 40 had no name tag and was extremely rude. When she heard the kiosk wasn’t working I know she was happy knowing no orders were coming through. If there is no way to order CLOSE! Stop paying your employee to sit on their butt and create issues and negative experiances. She also mentioned “oh yeah the kiosk hasn’t been working all weekend” sooo why did you send me and everyone to it. Absolutely ridiculous. If your employee is aware of the kiosk being down; do not send your customer to it. She avoided interaction and “resolved” it by shrugging her shoulders and avoiding eye contact. She was sitting on the counter and hiding in the back. Any job I’ve had would fire me and sit me down for a chat. WORST service I’ve experienced in years. We ended up getting some waters from pizza hut and Daniel was absolutely amazing. He sparked up a conversation and made our experience so much better.

Place to have coffee. If you are Spanish it will be difficult for you to have that type of food for breakfast.

The bathrooms here are always incredibly gnarly disgusting.without fail.as a commuter I dread having to stop here to use the bathroom, but it is convenient

Place is very clean and very well maintained, however the convenient store was way too expensive, paid $6.79 for big pack of chewing gum (never paid so much in my life).

Easy on easy off the Florida Turnpike. The restrooms were very clean and I felt safe there knowing the police officers were all around that area.

Here is the worst Wendys on the entire planet. The employees are rude and seem upset. I waited for my order of Hamburger with fries for 25 minutes until I asked for the refund. Another time I ordered a pizza at Pizza Hut and it was raw. I will never stop at this service plaza again. They should fire all employees and hire educated and responsible people.

A complete mess and very unorganized trucks just park anyway they want and even take their breaks on the fuel islands

Costumer service at Dublin Donut they prefer to talk instead of taking care of the costumers, bathrooms are disgusting dirty paper all over.

This rest area is full of drivers that leave their trucks for several days. Please Florida Highway Patrol do something with it like Orlando FL does. There are tired drivers that come to delivery south Florida and there is not a single parking spot don’t matter the time or day it’s always full cuz people leave their trucks here to avoid pay a yard

Had to do my reset here. Very nice people working here. On site security. Safe place to park. 11 minutes to Walmart and 30 to the beach. Lyft or Uber out.

I love a turnpike rest stop with it's mall like atmosphere as opposed to a I-95 stop which is strictly vending machines. This rest area has both north and south bound exits. It is located at mile 65 on the Turnpike in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Even though I pass by this rest stop all the time I have never needed to come in but I have always been curious about it. I was on the road and thought my tire was low so I finally took the opportunity to stop and look around.

The first thing that struck me was how tiny this rest area is. I don't think it is even a quarter of the size of the one at Port St. Lucie/ Ft. Pierce. Even though it is small they still managed to fit in one of those plastic blue flame fountains. Dining options include Dunkin' Donuts, Wendy's, and Pizza Hut. There is also a Main Street Market where you can pick up snacks, drinks, and road travel essentials.

I wonder why Pompano got such a small rest stop. To its benefit, unlike the larger ones north you can park against the building and you don't have to go football field lengths to reach the restroom. I loved that the Citgo offers free water and air and they have a drive through windshield cleaner. The Pompano rest area might be small but it has what you need, food and fuel, to get you back on the road.

The Service Plazas are very comfortable for stopping in the middle of the car journey, they have all kinds of food and toilet services in very good condition.
