Pro Tech Automotive reviews
25Excellent service! I took my mom's dodge truck here for a wiring issue. We had been to multiple mechanics prior including the dealership, and no one could find the problem. Protech found the issue in an hour! We were amazed. I highly recommend them!
Unbelievable people. Was passing thru on 95 with engine running hot and thought surely last thing i need to happen is something to blow 600 miles from home. Was blessed to find these guys who immediately took vehicle to check out issues. They came back up front in about 15 minutes and told me what was likelky the issue and charged me zilch. Said it is definitely a gauge issue that can be fixed when i get home and it wont blow. So i leave and either they fixed it for free or it self corrected which is less likely cause it was running perfect after i left there lot. God bless em.
I would highly recommend Pro Tech. My family has had multiple good experiences with them! They repaired my car within a couple of days and it runs better than before.
Had an awesome experience getting my Yaris fixed. They got someone to tow the car and changed my batteries in a day. Very professional and reasonable cost.
Fantastic service. My alternator had died and I needed a quick repair. They had me back on the road in 90 minutes at a very fair price.
Worth the wait!
I've gotten a fair deal every time I've brought my car in. The only downside is they typically have a long wait. Turns out, when you are a honest businessman, people will be lined up around the block to get in!
I was recommended to come to Pro Tech by a coworker. I brought my 2003 Chevy Avalanche due to a rough idle and fuel pump replacement. Lantz and his crew did a thorough diagnosis and found a couple easy fixes of vacuum line replacements (I was told elsewhere it needed a $500 intake manifold). Had a couple issues with the fuel pump that were quickly and effectively replaced. Just wanted to pass on my great experience and say that i'm glad I found a local mechanic that is trustworthy and seems to care about his customers.
My whole (including extended) family and several friends have been depending on PROTECH for our automotive needs for many years.
Our latest experience on 010620 was just like every other one.
We were treated with courtesy, respect, friendly service, and most importantly, a good price for a fine job.
We have only the highest regard for PROTECH!

Took our car in and they repaired it fast! Friendly staff and amazing service. I will be back with all our vehicles from here on out.
Taken a couple of vehicles there now, and Lantz has been upfront, honest, and helpful. Service has been friendly done on time, and status communicated well. Couldn't really ask for much more out of a repair shop. Highly recommended.
Lantz and his team are competent, professional, personable and even have a sense of humor. And very importantly, if something does not need to be done, or even should not be done, Lantz will tell you it shouldn't be done. I have been a mechanic and service writer in a previous life and I can pretty well tell if someone is trying to scam me. Lantz and team are the right folks to go to if you want your car fixed right. They have put going to the dentist back on top of most dreaded things to do!
Lantz runs a repair shop with class. Today's cars are complicated and expensive to repair, but they only repair what's needed and guide you through every stage of the process, allowing you to make a good choice.
Lantz was upfront and did not try to sell me on something I didn't need or want. The work was done quick and professional. I found a new home for my auto repair work. Blue Honda civic
I highly recommend this shop. My car was fixed quickly, and at a very reasonable price. Lantz is a great guy, and very trustworthy and honest. I will be coming back here for all my automotive problems. Thanks again
I bought a used car that had a known problem with the steering pin and had a quote for repair. I was recommending to Lance and when I called he said "let me call you back". He called back to tell me that this repair was covered under warranty by Hyundai and to take it to the dealership. I applaud his honesty and have definitely found my new mechanic for any future needs. Thank you so much.
Took my car in for a check engine light which ended up needing major work done to repair. Lantz was always very professional and honest with the many questions I had. After the major engine repair, the bill was as quoted from the start, with no hidden "oh by the ways" and very reasonable for the the amount or work it took. Very happy customer now.
When I pick a mechanic, I always ask myself in order, "are they honest? ", "so they know what they're doing? ", and "are their prices fair? ". Protech has satisfied my questions every time I've been there. It has become my new go-to place for all automotive needs. The only downside is how busy they get, which is understandable. Plan to make an appointment well in advance if you can.
My husband has bringing our cars to Lantz for years. We recently brought our Jeep in to have the brakes and rotors replaced. We had taken our Jeep in for a recall issue and were advised by the dealer we needed new brakes and rotors. My husband decided to take the Jeep to Protech to get a second opinion. Lantz advised the brakes and rotors were just fine and that we did not need to change them yet. It’s nice to know there are honest mechanics still out there today in a world that has become so greedy. Thank you Lantz for having such great integrity. This is why we will be repeat customers and always refer our friends and family.
To make a long story short-broke down late night on I95,100s of miles away from home, with a sick wife and an older muscle car. Not a big block V8 but a way more finicky one. Towed the car there and dropped it off. First thing 7A dealt with Lance. Informed him of my situation and he was able to diagnose and fix it by around 10: 30A. He said he was very busy and short staffed but he made it a priority. Shop is in a decent location with hotels closeby. Tried to give him extra and he wouldn't even take it. Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy.
I brought my car in because I accidentally filled my tank with diesel (I know, how could I). Lanz was so great and HONEST! I asked him if I had to have anything changed and if I needed to drop my tank in order to save my engine (MAJOR JOB $$$), and he insisted that the car would be fine without doing so, but if I wanted to do that he would do it for me. He gave me estimated prices over the phone and stuck to them, and didn't insist on me changing parts that he confidently explained would not be damaged, unlike a many other mechanics I called. I called multiple times, and Lanz patiently answered all of my very extensive questions. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
