The repairman was excellent. The air handler blower did not work. The starting capacitor for the air handler was bad. The charge for the service call, diagnosis and replacing the capacitor was $320.00. The unit is functioning like new again.

John and Dan have been so helpful. Very thankful of this company! Very fast and efficient. We highly recommend this company.

Have been with them for years. Always accommodating and do good work! Their technicians are knowledgeable and pleasant. Always tidy work. Would always recommend them.

Pros: The company is very responsive.
Cons: Charges ridiculous prices. A Capacitor went out on my AC unit, $12.00 to $35.00 everywhere, questioned them about it and was told its the cost to have it on the truck. They charged me a total of $480.00 for the part and the 6 minute installation, which includes $135.00 diagnostic to see what is wrong with unit. All other companies waive this fee if you hire them to do the work. I called 4 other AC companies and was quoted $170.00 for the part and installation complete. I will be looking for another company that offers a greater value to the customer. This company does not work with the consumer. Sure feel ripped off now.

For over 10 yrs, Chris and his team of professional servicemen installed and maintained my highly tuned Lennox AC. They have taught me many homeowner tips of maintenance care for both the outdoor and indoor garage handler that have saved me problems. PROTOCOOL has a great office team followup, and able to give prompt, reliable service, even a monthly care plan. You will be happy to choose them!

Protocool did an incredible job with my AC maintenance. I can breathe so much better now. It is obvious that the other company I had been using was NOT cleaning the drip pan properly. And I ended up paying the price by experiencing nasty allergy issues. SO glad I called Protocool! They are a little more expensive but worth EVERY penny!

Protocool are hands down the best a/c people I have ever dealt with. I am so glad (and relieved) that I found them through highly recommended reviews and suggestions to me on Next Door App. I was very skeptical as I’ve had been treated poorly and ripped off by a previous a/c contractor taking advantage of me since 2016. After talking with Chris (owner) to their office staff, Lori, Jasmine and Monica, to my first two technicians Dan and Justin. I just knew I was in good hands. Everyone is so professional, courteous and most importantly to me, honest and upfront with issues and prices. There are no surprise charges and won’t do anything without your understanding and approval. Technicians are even considerate when they work in your home trying to keep things neat as possible or clean up after themselves. Oh and they are very reliable and prompt! So important here in South Florida)

They came for ac not cooling, guy told me u need to replace breaker cost almost $400.00- i called another company breaker just needed to be reset, total cost $ 19.00 all inclusive +

Protocool charged me $135.00 just to come for wrong diagnostic + technician left dirty fingers prints all over electrical panel, needs to be repaint now

This two person I was in touch. Both are hard working. Both let me know what and how and what to expect. All just the way said.
Justin Introduced himself make sure you wear though foot cover before you enter the house. He listen what I have to say about the air condition and explain everything what is doing what is going on what’s wrong show me and then you check outside the unit unit also and show me what is wrong and what’s going on and he went above and beyond same is Laurie went above and beyond I am thankful to God he put Laurie and Justin to help me today I am very grateful and Appreciate all the help.

My experience with Protocool has been excellent, especially with my technician, Justin. He's professional, courteous and kind.

Technician unlocked my thermostat in 5 secs and I was charged $215 dollars.a ripe off. The person in the office never told me they don’t take checks and when I wrote a check they debited the money from my account and then cashed the check… $430 dollars!

This is a case of trying to stick it to the customer because I wrote a check?

Dishonest as hell and then I called and now they are sending me a check because they realized it was duplicated. Bologna!

This company didn’t have the decency to call and say “our apologies”…. Folks work hard for their money and you double charge me?

(added 29Oct21) I’ll continue to say it: I wouldn’t trust my HVAC needs to anyone else.

We've used ProtoCool to service, maintain, and now replace our HVAC systems for over 15 yrs. Their technicians are knowledgeable, efficient and the company staff is willing to discuss all the options in a manner that makes sense to unit-operations and my wallet. They have never missed an appointment time-window, and the communication from the office is coordinated and spot-on.
Our replacement scenario is not easy (requires a crane, shutting down a city street, maneuvering around other units on our condo-roof) - they handled everything start-to-finish, and minimized the out-of-A/C time to practically nothing.

Dan was phenomenal! Checked my entire system, as well as the attic- we only wanted one “warm” room checked. He gave us a couple of suggestions, but while he was here, he tweaked the system a little, and the problem was solved! This is after 2 other companies and over 2000 dollars spent had failed!
