Pub Americana Melbourne

We went for dinner last night- there were six of us. It seemed as though they were short-staffed. Our waitress didn't seem very happy maybe a little overwhelmed. We waited a long long time for our drinks. When you order your first round of drinks you shouldn't wait 20 minutes. The service just seemed really slow. It didn't seem that busy but maybe it was busier than I thought, we were in the back room. The food was okay. I think because we waited so long for things my opinion of the place is not great. I can't speak for anyone else's food but I ordered the hang over Burger, I asked for the egg over medium because I like it a little bit runny and it was completely fried. It was okay It wasn't what I asked for. I think for the most part the others in my party thought the food was okay but I wouldn't rush back- Probably because of the service. Who knows maybe it was just a bad night.

We wanted an outdoor light lunch place and found a perfect spot under the warm sun. And comfortable shade. The food was fine, we shared a small pizza and a salad and we enjoyed both. Perhaps, the most memorable part of the experience was the timely, cordial, respectful and energetic service. We just had to raise our head and we would have one of the servers asking what we needed and immediately bring it. The atmosphere in the outdoor area was also perfect. We will go back!

As we entered the Pub we were greeted by happy guests sitting at the bar. Having this be our first time here, it was clear we were at a pub!:) We were looking for something to eat for lunch, Pub Americana delivered on food! Hangover burger, classic, and delicious! Classic pepperoni pizza was perfect! I would say that I ordered a cosmo and should have ordered something other than well vodka. It was a little too strong for my liking! The beer was perfect! Enjoyable atmosphere too!

A bar and grill with a distinctive menu. Bison chile, steak salad and other great selections. Our waitress Morgan was awesome and extremely knowledgable. Food was brought out timely and our friends were able to sample beers before buying. Food presentation was excellent. A definite thumbs up. Morgan should be promoted to manager!

They have a good amount of TV's, all the Games Live Music & LOTS.of Food, Happy Hour & Daily Specials!

The food, although was a little bland, it's still pretty good here. The service was pretty good as well but when my date asked for a desert menu she never got it so we got the check and went elsewhere for that.

For the cost of the items the food does not deliver. We sat at the bar. The staff was very friendly. They did go on about how great the food is, they only use quality ingredients and everything is delicious.
We ordered the Bang Bang shrimp and a burger.
Well they did say the shrimp are jumbo and yes they were. The bang bang shrimp had a heavy batter and that was it, no seasoning or sauce. They provided a sweet sauce on the side.
The burger was bland also and served with smallest amount of fries.
Bottom line, price far exceeds the food.
We would not return to this place.

Friendly staff. Above average bar food and then some. I've been here about 8 times and I have never been disappointed. They seem to give their food a little extra effort.

We had a terrible experience! Our party of 4 received the wrong beers (and we ordered their signature beer). They corrected the beer. Delivered a so-so appetizer - Mediterranean Dip. Took close to 30 mins to take our food order (we had to flag the waitress down. We waited an HOUR for our dinners and the place was empty. The waitress never gave us an update on our food, explanation or apology. When the food finally came out, one of the dishes was dropped on the floor. They took all of it back to the kitchen and we continued to wait. When the food came out again, two of the sandwiches were swapped, the staff told us they were the wrong dishes. One sandwich was cold and so peppery it was inedible. We had to leave it. The pizza tasted like a bad frozen pizza with cardboard crust. That was also left. The waitress never checked on us, we flagged who we thought was a manager down to inquire about the peppery sandwich. His only response was " that's what you ordered! ". It wasn't. This was the wrong dish. We had to flag the waitress down again to get our checks and get out of there. The bills were completely mixed up. They did take the peppery sandwich off the bill, but we received no apologies over any of these screw ups. Nothing. None of us will ever step foot in this place again. I don't know how they stay in business operating like this. This was out first and last visit. If I could give a negative star I would!

Update: I stand by my review. I gain nothing by spending my time warning other diners of our experience. This response explains the poor service and food.

Went on a Saturday night as they advertised Vince love as the entertainment and we really like him.
When we arrived we could hear him or a recording of him as we did not see him anywhere?
Another big letdown was they had a wedding party going on so the whole rear portion was closed for a private party.
So everyone who was not part of the party was limited to the front bar area.

I did walk in the closed area to say hi to the entertainment and he was not there either. Very possibly it was a recording.
Big waste of an evening and we ate there for no reason.
Will probably never return now.
Food was ok, but we went for the entertainment and drinks which we only had one with dinner and then left.

I was craving a burger and Pub Americana delivered in every way! Excellent service, food/drinks and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Great service, several beer options and a good shareable menu, as well as top-notch live music.

Great spot in Historic Melbourne for dining alone, couples, friends & family. Solid mix of options on the menu & all of which are pretty solid.

Burger selection is primary menu item which you can go burger, grilled chicken or mushroom.

Think their pizza is only thing I didn’t care for.

Staff is usually fast & friendly. Craft beers rotate & so do my opinions if it’s a good mix at that time.

Overall this is an excellent option for dinner regardless of why you’re dining out.

One of our stops on our mid week girls day. Bartender was amazing. I unfortunately don't remember her name. I had the cider on tap, it was delicious! We didn't eat but I can't wait to go back and try the food
