I had an issue with my new insurance company and Quality Discount Roofing assisted me professionally and willingly every step of the way to get their roofing issues resolved

The installers at Quality Discount Roofing were on time, very professional and did quality work. Several neighbors commented on the way they were very quiet (as quiet as you can be when removing and installing a roof). But they had no loud music on, didn't yell at each other during their work, and their compressors were not loud at all. After the roof was installed, they carefully removed all nails from the driveway, grass and flower beds. They also used a leaf blower to blow out all the debris in the gutters. My neighbors commented to me that their roofers did not do that which led to some problems with water remaining in the gutters. I would highly recommend Quality Discount Roofing, and would have them replace another roof whenever necessary.

The installation crew would be rated with a 10+, very knowledgeable with what needed to be done. They worked from early morning till after dark. Thanks for a very good job.

My experience with Quality Discount Roofing was not a positive one. Stephen Knuth is the sales manager at Quality and was assigned to manage my roofing project. I conducted a quick license search but was unable to find Mr. Knuth's roofing contractor license on the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulations website. In all fairness, he never represented himself as a licensed contractor, but I'm unsure as to why someone in sales would be overseeing the construction aspect of the installation.

More than two months had elapsed since our contract had been signed and I still did not have a roof. I understood that there may have been delays due to COVID such as difficulty acquiring the building supplies needed to do the work, but the primary delay was related to an inspection. After the contract had already been signed, Stephen decided that a framing inspection would need to occur before they would install the roof (because the house had been significantly renovated). I hadn't heard of such a thing but sounded reasonable at the time. I went to the building department and inquired about scheduling that inspection; I was told by the building inspection assistant supervisor, that a framing inspection is never done before the roof as things like flexible duct work could be compromised due to potential water damage. I relayed this information to Stephen and he suggested that I throw a tarp over the house. I went and spent $200 on a tarp to follow his recommendation.

One day Mr. Knuth stopped by the house while I was working on it and assumed that I was doing work without building plans. I know he made this assumption because he sent me an email stating this much. He wrote that he had "shut the project down" as I was doing the framing without approved plans. Had he just asked, I would have happily shared the approved plans and provided him with the contact information for the company that did the framing. He could have also easily confirmed this by contacting the building department.

I'm confudent that Stephen Knuth is an excellent salesperson, but his knowledge of the building process here in Jacksonville is seriously limited. I requested a refund and was told by Stephen, that a refund was not an option. Upon speaking with a secretary at Quality, I mentioned going to my attorney for advice on how to proceed in this matter. I also mentioned that I'd be leaving detailed reviews of my experience. I then received an email indicating that my contract had been cancelled. Stephen assured me that if I did leave a review, that he would respond in great detail. I encourage him to respond freely as I'm all for transparency. I was reluctant to write this review because I don't enjoy writing negative reviews for businesses but when a poor business practice adversely affects others, then that party should be held accountable.

My roof was leaking into my family room. Insurance wouldn't cover it and were going to cancel my policy. Quality Discount Roofing was able to get me qualified for a home improvement loan. Material dumpster was dropped off on a Monday, the crew that worked on my roof was there on time on Tuesday, replaced everything that was needed on my whole roof that day. Two people came out Wednesday to finish a couple of details and make sure everything was cleaned up.

They were also able to do a complete overhaul of the family room where the leak was, brought all the electrical up to code in the house, handled getting my new A/C, gutters all the way around the house with leaf guards, and a few other things.

The project manager/ contractor, Stephanie, was amazing. Some of the subcontractors that did work were not that great and didn't finish or do the work they were supposed to, but Stephanie stepped in and made sure it was taken care of and that I was happy. She is a great asset to the company.

Still needs work they started in June and still the work ain't done don't. Even get them to do your work I don't remand them

We have worked with Quality Discount Roofing & Construction on quite a few projects and have only observed their desire to perform accurately according to plan and the clients wishes as well as maintaining a level of professionalism rarely seen these days.

This will be the 2nd time I have used QDR. Two years ago they put a new asphalt roof on a rental of mine. My husband gave them 5 stars.

This time it was our home with a metal roof. We had some leak issues and flashing issues with numerous screw failures. I called QDR and they were out within 4 days. I didn't even get multiple quotes because we did that with the rental and they blew them all away with price and quality. (roofing is a shady business btw, be careful). They guys came out and did WAY MORE than I had asked and for a great price. A+ job.

I then received a phone call from the foreman going over all what they did. So awesome. Can't go wrong with these guys.

I used to make my roofing in my old house was a five star experience, one year later call them for new projects, complete different experience. Communication is is not that good that two years ago

QDR did a great job. There were finished in 2 days. Communication was great and the quality of materials and workers were good too.

Thanks Quality Discount Roofing & Construction. I was given a written quote for a Roof installation in a timely manner and after I decided to go with this company I was scheduled a start date. They took a few days to complete the job. I was advised of any delays in advance and the results was beautiful. They did a great job of cleaning up. I chose to go into the office and pay and they were very professional and prompt. I am glad I chose this company becasue the roof looks great and they did not have a bunch of hidded charges in the end I paid what I was quoted. So I would recommend this company.

I was very pleased with the ENTIRE experience with this company. Dustin was on time, professional, gave us our options which totally complimented the exterior of my home AND the installation was 10/10. My experience with Quality Discount Roofing & Construction was exceptionally good. They first replaced all the vinyl siding, trim, and soffits with Hardy Plank materials; then the roof with 2 layers of shingles were removed, repairs made and replaced. Then the whole house received 2 layers of paint. The process of getting all of this coordinated and finished was quite an experience. All the individuals we dealt with were always very accommodating and courteous. We are extremely pleased with the final products and workmanship demonstrated by all involved in this endeavor. I/we would highly recommend Quality Discount Roofing & Construction to anyone seeking repairs such as these.
The office staff were so kind and efficient, I genuinely enjoyed talking and working with them. They answered any questions I had and followed up on everything. Alyssa was just a burst of sunshine every time I called. Sheree handled the coordination of the siding, painting, and gutters; she was always very courteous and professional. Ana handled the roofing lob and was extremely helpful with several questions even when they were not about the roof.
Stephen, from sales, was immensely helpful in explaining the details of the different materials discussed at the beginning. I saw Daniel the most during the project; he was the QDR supervisor for the siding, painting, and gutters. He was also here for what I consider to be a final inspection and touch-up before the County Building Inspector came out. I was replacing a light that they had nothing to with and was having trouble with and he offered to answer some questions about the task. To make it a short story, he ended up installing the light for me in a matter of minutes and I had been working on it for quite a while, Thank you for your extra effort Daniel.
Bill was the QDR supervisor for the roofing job. He and I did not see a lot if each other because the roofers were done so quickly, but very professionally. Thank you, Bill, for the work and the installation of the chimney topper.
I must mention the actual work crew members also. I do not know all their names, but they were excellent and extremely hard workers. Outstanding work ethic demonstrated by all. Thank you. I would also like to say that even when there was a disagreement on what was expected, the individuals responsible went to great lengths to compromise and ensure we were happy with the final work.
