The hotel does not look very nice from the exterior. The staff is amazing and the room is nice and clean. Dont judge a book by its cover. They are doing renovations

The inside of the rooms are nicely remodeled. Many balconies face south, which is a pleasant view. Outside of the hotel, parking and lobby areas are still under renovation, but we had a very nice stay there, regardless. Breakfast is grab and go style. We had a unit with a kitchen that was roomy with good lighting. Staff was helpful there.

Rooms are very dated and the walls are thin was able to here what seem like normal conversation from next room.

This is my 3rd time staying here since renovation started. 1st like to say that Jackie is wonderful. Thank you for switching rooms after our 1st night. I'm gonna be honest only because I am I. The hotel industry. I believe they are taking steps backwards instead of moving forward.rooms seem dirty now.shower curtain moldy.no covers on outlets ants everywhere and no hot water for 2 days.grounds are unkempt. I did talk to the maintenance man who happens to be the owners husband.you need 2 maintenance people at all times.there are over 50 rooms. Common areas around gazebo needs to be swept everyday. 1 maintenance man is not enough. I am giving you my opinion 1 cause I know about what you are doing 2nd I always want the under dog to succeed.this hotel could be great but detail is everything

We had a ocean view room. The ocean was the first thing you would see when you wake up. David was great at check in. As matter of fact all staff was great. Very helpful. Will stay here again

We are currently staying at this Quality Inn and it's awful! No hot water for showers and the water pressure is very low. The pool is nasty, due to remodeling Breakfast is frozen Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits and a few other things. When I talked to the desk clerk I was told it was all due to the remodeling process. We paid for our room months before our trip and were never told about all these inconveniences before our trip.
This has been our choice for our stay in all the years past but it will be our last time at this location!

We visited this place a few years ago and the rooms are definitely upgraded. Area is ok if your really just trying to be at the beach. If you like to be in the mix of people more inward to Dayton is where you want.

They don't make hotels like this anymore, and that is sad.this is a quintessential 60's style roadside beach hotel! It doesn't shine like the big boys down the road, but this hotel has great character. All of the rooms have been renovated and you can't tell you are staying in a budget hotel with large comfy beds, a functional bathroom, plenty of room for storage, a great TV, and most importantly - a view of the beach from my room. The beach was literally a one minute walk from my room, and the pool area was very nice next to the beach! You can tell the hotel is old and an ugly property, but it is extremely functional and convenient! Hotels like this force you to be friendly and have conversations with your "neighbors" - you feel like going with a swim with them, eat with them, go to the beach with them. The staff, especially Robert at check-in on Saturday, was extremely hospitable. I have only two minor complaints - I really didn't like the bag breakfast and I hope they renovate their kitchen soon, and the hotel can't help this, but the beach still seemed damaged from the hurricane that came through last year. I will definitely consider this hotel again if I come back to the area for a vacation in the future, and I will highly recommend this hotel to those who don't mind an old-style hotel.

Came to this hotel as a last resort from our orginal hotel not working out and soo glad we did! If we are back in the area again for vacation this will definitely be our go to hotel. The views are amazing. The hotel is still undergoing their renovations so it is a grab and go style breakfast, which was fine for us. They have a pool and a kiddie pool and beach access, where we spent most of of our 5 days. This is not an upscale hotel by any means but everything was very clean, and no bugs! Every single staff member was very welcoming and anything we needed extra of they got immediately. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be right on the beach.

My room, was spotless, with a great view of the beach. David, at the front desk, amazing. All staff were friendly! Definatly, will return one day!

If you are considering staying at this property "BEWARE"
Property is going under renovations/repairs that were not disclosed upon our NON REFUNDABLE booking. We spent over $400 for 2 nights on what i consider a 1 star property that was dangerous with construction, loud activity at the pool at 12-3am in the morning and other various shady activities

We had a great stay! My mom and I came down July 2022 last minute. We were on the first floor three doors down from the patio to the beach. The pool was nice and a good temperature for it being 90 degrees outside. The parking lot is small but that’s not really a big deal to me. We were on the beach for about an hour then I was in the pool on a float for 4 hours haha yes I got a sunburn. I would stay here every time I visit if able to. That’s why I’m writing this now, I looking to book again haha
Some of these reviews for here and other locations are ridiculous. $143 a night ON THE BEACH IN JULY, is a pretty good deal. We have been a lot of places/beaches so I know what’s normal and some of these are down right outlandish lies. If you stay here I would recommend the first floor (I hate stairs especially with wet feet) it’s right off the parking lot and that much closer to the ocean. I don’t recall any sounds of guests or construction even though it was happening. DEFINITELY wear sandals to the actual sand because the concrete/bricks are hot as hell (which should be obvious since it’s Florida in July).
The room was clean, the beds were so comfortable. A rug in the room at the door would be the suggestion i have.

THE NEWLY REMODELED ROOMS ARE FABULOUS! OUTSTANDING ACCOMODATIONS! Super Clean! Great Flooring-No Carpet! Crisp Super Clean Linens! The Balcony Suite was like a Gorgeous Condo! Crown molding, bright white painted walls, beautiful art, wood shutters, wonderful furnishings, large fridge, AND THE VIEW - OMG THE VIEW! My heartfelt gratitude to: Doug, Brian, Marcia, Grace, and David! (Note: we were so grateful that the pool was open, as Ormond Beach is still under repair from prior hurricanes - we had no idea). THIS IS A PERFECT LOCATION! (Side note.we had to work, so we were also grateful for the wi-fi)!

It used to be The Mainsail. They had windows that looked out over A1A in the hallways, and private balconies with ocean views. They need to clean up the renovation supplies that are laying around the entrance area.

This place is a hidden gem, it may not look like it from the outside because of the hurricane, but the rooms and service is Beyond excellent. You’re a few steps away from the beach and you can walk out your front door and see the beach. Clean, quite and well worth it.

I really like this place, it's been undergoing a major renovation last year's hurricanes pushed it back quite a bit, however, the staff is friendly the rooms are very clean and I'll definitely come back here again
