Ramada by Wyndham Panama City

Definitely not somewhere I would stay again. The check in was at 3, when we got here the room wasn’t ready, the finally called us at 5 saying it was ready. The woman at the front wasn’t very friendly and the rooms were mediocre. Yes it’s cheap but I’ve had cheap rooms that were nicer than this.

The room was nice, the beds were comfortable and the floors were wood, not carpet. The service was not great at all. When checking out we told the woman at the desk of all the problems we had, broken wheel on desk chair, the TV needing a passcode to watch it, the on room phone not working, the roaches we found, and the long black hair that was with our clean towels, but she didn't care about that at all. She asked did we let them know, and we said yes, the evening girl came and tried to fix the TV and exchanged the chair, and told us that she would have maintenance come check the TV on our 2nd day. Then maintenance never came and there was not note about the issues for our room. She asked why we didn't tell them about the roaches sooner and we told her that we just did when we were checking out. She did not care one little bit, even with pictures as evidence! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Every room smells like smoke, bathrooms are dirty, room walls and floor is dirty, bad customer service and hotel is in a REALLY bad area also there is a club right next door (very dangerous at night) this hotel is NOT safe for kids

One of the worst experiences ever. For $1,700 plus fees for a week for Spring Break you get to watch TV from your bed since that's the only one there is, picture was awful quality, you get 1 spoon, 2 forks, no paper towels, cleaning supplies, tiny bedroom and kitchen, share the tiny kitchen table with a microwave, no closet. Poor service. It is an old, outdated motel sold as suites. Avoid it if at all possible.

It was overall a very nice motel with great staff and very clean rooms. I will be staying there again in the future

This place is dingy and sketchy. The hallways smelt like smoke and the pool area is a joke. The beds are uncomfortable and the room layout was ridiculous. The price was so low for a reason! Upon checkin the clerk was unwelcoming and dismissive. We left early and could not get a refund because the owner was incredible unreasonable and dismissive.

I travel for work, booked online and came to check in after work and the lady at the front dest was BEYOND RUDE AND HATEFUL. I would've gotten a refund but at the rate the situation was going I would’ve wound up in jail. Now im sitting in the parking lot waiting to be able to check in because SHE was wrong and confrontational. Please hire better people.

I stayed here Thursday night through Saturday/yesterday morning.
Customer Service at the front desk was professional and friendly.
There was no Military/Veteran Discount given.
I reserved the room online, paying upfront, & upon check-in I had to have a $50.00 deposit placed on another card.
There were pubic hairs inside & outside of the bathtub.
They charged me $5.00 for a tiny tube of toothpaste & another $5.00 for a tiny spray on deodorant.
There were a few small spot stains on the sheets.
I requested a room on the bottom/1st floor, when I booked it/paid for it online, & was put on the 3rd floor as a % Disabled Combat Veteran.
There wasn't many people there, so they should've been able to accommodate my request.
The complimentary/free breakfast was only a few small things & was all gone/eaten up by 8am both mornings.
There was no freezer section in the tiny fridge & it had no way of making it colder.
There were no room safes.
The bed was comfortable, the pillows were comfortable, the TV/cable was nice, & the water in the shower was strong without any slime.

I got room for a week, bth rm sink clogged, heater didn't work, No room service, and day 3 due to UNCLEANLINESS and NO HEAT, I had to check out and they DIDN'T REFUND ME THE REMAINING 4 DAY, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO STAY AT THIS PLACE, THEY ARE THIEVES!

You will get a great price when you stay here. The room is basic but it close to Panama City and just a few mknutes from the beach.

Booking went like a champ. The service once we got here is a completely different story.
Room is musky, but hey we brought Lysol so no big deal.
No phone or wifi service in room. This is a problem. They said they would look into it.
Asked for more towels from staff, this is day two and still don't have any.
Continental breakfast? Maybe they puniest we ever seen. We asked for some fruit twice, staff ignores me until I walk up to the desk and complain about it, in front of her.
Seriously, we don't have a favorite hotel chain, but with such a bad experience, there could be some put on the avoidance list.

If I could give a negative star rating, I would. I have been attempting to resolve an issue and have been hung up on twice by the staff at Ramada. The day of check in, the clerk at the front desk (young girl) said there was a system error. We stood and waited for 20 minutes while she attempted to figure out how to log in so we could check into the hotel. After 20minutes, due to their system error, we opted to leave. They continued to charge us, although Matt said on his screen he could see a confirmed reservation with us but did not see that we cancelled. Again, due to their system error; we were UNABLE to get checked in. They charged us $90 and when we called to get that issue resolved and get a refund, we got hung up on not once but TWICE by both female employees. The gentleman, Matt, was incredibly helpful but the women have not been. When calling back to the front desk and ask for the woman’s name, she refused to provide her name or the name of her manager or district manager. This place is dirty, filthy, and a scam. DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION HERE! We drove halfway across the United States and are now stranded because they decided to charge us with a cancellation fee. Again, Matt confirmed that in their system, we did NOT cancel! The staff has NOT been helpful outside of Matt and we are beyond frustrated. We are STRANDED on the side of the road unable to get home because they robbed us of our last $90 and REFUSE to help us in any way! I have never written a negative review on a place. I have been nothing but cordial with these people and they treated me like scum on the bottom of their shoes! I am in disbelief! I am a veteran and have travelled across the world and stayed at MANY hotels — NONE of which have done me so dirty the way this place has! They took the last bit of money and we explained we are stranded and they REFUSE to even ATTEMPT to help us! I am disgusted! So again, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!

If I could give less than a star, I would. Burnt marks and doors that looked to have been kicked in before. Our balcony door was unable to lock and had to wait over an hour before we could leave our room, in fear our personal belongings would be susceptible to being taken; also had to wait four hours the next day for fresh towels.

I stayed 4 nights.
The king room was nice & very clean.
I was pleased with the breakfast. They offered coffee, tea, juice, toast, jelly, butter, eggs, oatmeal and waffles.
The location is near the historical area & the bay. I like the bay as much as the beaches so it was good for me.
There's a gas station next door which I found very convenient.

Beds not made up, clerk was rude, went to check out early and was charged for the remainder of the stay! I will never stay there again!
