Regal Palms Resort reviews
16Very crowded and small pools. Every single one who goes has to have a wristband to get in different spots. Very stupid rule. Can't even go as a family without each member needing one. Staff Very bothersome. Very little shade. Not a good experience.
I was in a townhouse with leaky ceiling and refrigerator and toilet consistently ran till i call maintenance to fix the the toilet but the rest was never fixed while there and trash was loose in the trash can before we got there. It was an ok place to stay.
We have stayed at Regal Palms while on vacation and we truly did not want to leave. We loved everything about it. The townhouse, the amenities, the staff, all that there is to do, the short drive to the parks and the fact that it's not only a gated community but also guarded. The part when we had to leave was the let down. As we walked out the door, I turned around and gave one last look at what I came to feel like was home. We loved it so much that we just bought one. I've glanced through some of the reviews about Regal Palms and all I can think is that some people are just never happy. No matter where in the world you go, you will come across rude people at times and not everything will be completely perfect all of the time. Everyone sees everything through a different lense. Some see beauty and some see rusty. I can only say that our experience here was great and it really is a slice of heaven.
Our stay here for Disney WAS PERFECT FOR CHRISTMAS. Everything was clean and we really enjoyed our stay. We enjoyedthe pool area, volleyball and game room are. It's actually 20 dollars a night to enjoy the resort activities. I really recommend this place to stay if you're going to Disney or just a get away vacation.
No wristband = cannot access. Every member of the family, including friends visiting, MUST have the wristband on AT ALL TIMES to be within the pool area, as well as inside the pool. Very dumb rule. Staff is annoying. Pools smaller than depicted. Tourism makes using the pools difficult. Overcrowded.
Lazy river in the pool area makes this resort unique! Also has a zero entry pool, jacuzzi pool, and water slide. The rental properties can accommodate large families.
They need a better system, they don't do there homework when it comes to people's Reservations, they double booked the townhouse me & my family had been staying @ for 2 weeks and we only had 2 days left of our vacation before they made us pack up our stuff & move to another townhouse, they literally rushed us out of the unit, we barely got to get all of our stuff.
Place was so dirty, floors, towels, bathrooms, sheets ext.
Worse place to stay @ in Davenport (polk County)
This stay could have easily received more stars. There was potential. It was a nice place and conveniently located to stores, restaurant, and Disney. We were upgraded to a 4 bdrm which was more than enough space for us. I love the layout of the home it was perfect for a family with kids. The reason it got lower starts was because the place did show it's age. The furniture was dated and bathroom touch ups visible. Also we had an incident were they were doing work on a unit close to ours and we had not notice of the interuption. The other Downfall is these units are individually owned so communication can be difficult between owner and property manager. Aside from these issues, this could have received a higher in rating.
This place is a mixed bag. The facilities themselves were decent, but several issues left us with a bad taste in our mouths. Things we found problematic: Check-in - we arrived at 3: 45 and they would not let us check in until the official time of 4PM. There was no good reason for this. Rules - there are lots of them: don't let your car touch the grass, don't take your room towels to the pool (they will lend you towels at the front desk for a $10 deposit). Everything is gated, requiring you to constantly use your bracelet fob to enter gates. The townhouse itself is a long walk from the pool/facility. The townhouse was meagerly equipted - no coffee, no salt and pepper, not even any paper towels. There were notices everywhere warning you not set the ac too low, don't break the trashcan rules, don't park in the wrong spot, etc. There were not enough pillows and the ones that were provided were the tiniest, crappiest pillows I ever saw. Would not stay there again.
Great Value overall! The only down falls would be the check in process. It took entirely tooooo long. And the arcade could use a facelift. Other then that the place was great. The food at the restaurant was surprisingly good and the waitress was sweet as pie! Although it was cold during our recent stay some families were still in the pool. I would say they should put more activities around the actual resort (kids play area) which could be closer to the townhomes. Other then that I would stay again. OH YEA, follow the parking rules! We saw a car get towed within 10 minutes of us arriving.
DO NOT STAY HERE! I just cannot believe that Legoland uses this place as their “partner”! We booked through Legoland Vacations and what a BIG mistake!
First of all their customer service is TERRIBLE! We asked to checkin early and was directed to call the management company who owned the townhouse we were renting. I left numerous messages and noone called me back!
Once we did get to checkin:
1. The carpet was dirty, smelly and bowing up in many places
2. There were no basic amenities like tissue, paper towels, hand soap, or wash cloths.
3. The fans and base boards were filthy
4. The tvs and furniture are extremely old and are very uncomfortable to sit on.
5. The beds are HORRIBLE! They are very squeaky and wake you at night as well the mattresses are so old they hurt your back!
6. The washer/dryer are at least 20 years old and they barely clean and dry your cloths well. The dryer will stay going even if you open the door!
Also, the pool may be nice but there is no supervision of patrons! Very chaotic and definitely unsafe!
And even though I reached out to the front desk numerous times, they had no solutions for me or they never answered the phone!
Old. Dusty, far away from everywhere.the only good thing is price (due the distance this place is too any family entertainment venues)
Adorable little community! Wonderful amenities! The only issue I had was one of the upstairs bathrooms in out unit, it seems like the floor may cave in soon, it dips and the tiles are cracked. I got out the shower and one partially cracked under my foot scared the life out of me! Didn't use that bathroom except for brushing teeth the rest of the trip.
This is an amazing resort. I don’t say that because of the resort itself. I say it because of the staff that works there. Also the Guest Services property management staff. I don’t see a management team that committed to the quality of the experience and environment for its guests often. Well done
Nice resort never used on property. Amenities. Stay was good. So check with property managers of units before using Im sure there are better homes on property. House we stayed in was ok, but beds could have been newer. Some were broken down beyond repair. We had to buy a foam overlay for the bed to be sleepable. Clean house had kitchen washer and dryer bathrooms were good with good water pressure. Never could get the tvs to work but spent most of our time at Seaworld and Busch Gardens.
We are staying in a town house. It is so nice. We got in with no problems. The house is clean and we'll stocked with the basics. 3 bed rooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, living room.
