Regal Southland Mall reviews
20This theater is ran down. The seats are not comfortable and the A/C barely works. Would not recommend.
Smells like human waste. Managers can't do anything and upper leadership has been notified but have not done anything about it
I don't know if it was just my seat or what, but I went to this movie theater the other day and the seats had a bad smell like urine and it was so bad that when I got home the bad smell was such that I had to take off my clothes and go straight to the washed. Ugh, I couldn't enjoy the movie.
Needs better customer service. Waited in line for almost 15 mins for the Churro fries. Only had 2 cashiers. Regal Theater
This mall is good during the day, though many shops have closed. I don’t go at night on the weekends cause there tends to be trouble. It is what it is.
Take to Long to buy the tiket, since you have to make the line of the drink purchaces, and seat designación like air plane tiket, is not a Good idea,
The manager who was working on 8/27/23 and the armed security guard was so rude and I never want to accuse nobody of discrimination but they aggressively asked me where my ticket was when I step outside the movie theater to make a call and I feel like it was because I’m a black male, the security guard approach me with his hand on his gun and when I provided my movie tickets I didn’t get a apology for the rudeness, I asked the manager for his name and he refused to give it to me I wouldn’t recommend this movie theater to anyone who fit the criteria to get discriminated.
We watched Sound of Freedom here in early August 2023.
This theatre wreaks of urine everywhere we went: the restrooms, the ticket/snack vending area, and the theatre where we sat for over two hours. It is so uncomfortably smelly that had I seen the multiple reviews from other customers saying this same thing, we absolutely would not have come here.
The stench of urine renders the cost of movie tickets and refreshments not at all worth the $$-level price we paid - when we were understandably expecting a comfortable theatre experience. Considering how many other people have complained about this issue on reviews, it is difficult to understand why nothing has been done about it.
I briefly thought about asking for a refund when we got into the theatre, but ultimately decided that we did not want to waste our time with switching locations.
Due to this experience, I will not return to a Regal cinema theatre anytime in the near future - especially as Cineplex Odéon and AMC have never had any such issues.
The staff is amazing. The only BIG ISSUE is that it smells terrible. Please stop using that lemon scent or whatever it is. The scent got into my hair. Seats feel very strange as if they’re wet. Just please REMODEL ASAP!
The one star is based on the conditions and not the staff, the staff was very helpful and courteous. My issue with the establishment was that their was no air conditioning, I understand that issues can arrive without notice, but it would have been helpful if there was proper notification, as one would go to retrieve their tickets. Also consider your staff working in that environment is not helpful for morale.
Went to see Barbie today at Regal Southland Mall, Miami. The first thing I did was use the ladies' room located by the front entrance. The second I walked in my nose was assaulted with nasty bathroom smells - but not fresh odors. It was the kind of smell you'd get from an outhouse that hasn't been used recently. Then I discovered only one of the several stalls was even usable - see attached photos. It was possibly the most disgusting public restroom I've seen in a very long time - and I live in South Miami so that's saying a lot.
I cannot imagine why they've left the bathrooms in such an awful state, as it's late Sunday evening and it wasn't at all busy in the theater. The lobby was empty and there's only two other people watching the same movie as me.
And the theater itself smells so musty! The air feels damp and sticky. And the seats feel like they were left out in the rain for a week. I literally got up to make sure my clothes weren't damp from sitting.
I hope whatever's happened to this theater will be fixed soon. Otherwise, I can't come here again. I feel like I'm going to get sick from breathing in mold spores.
Update: Aug 13,2023: it has gotten worse. The air conditioners are not working normally. Each theater smells of most and mildew. I was told the lobby is hot but the theaters are better. Hello for the amount of money you all charge for tickets. These theaters should be ice cold. It's sad. I love coming to see movies in theaters. But unless changes are really made. This will be probably the last time I come to this one. I have always had an issue with the place at night. Even though it is quite lite there are not enough security patroling the areas. The mall is huge. The parking lot even bigger. The movie theater closed way after the mall and yet the patroling is minimum
Even when is clean the odor inside was intolerant and only were 6 people. A deep cleaning it is really recommended
Under staffed and too lazy to unlock all the entrance doors, I have you check them all and find the one they decided to unlock today. Theater entrance ramps smell like mold and chemicals. And the worst thing of all, they have paper straws instead of plastic. Can they just change the cups to paper and give us back plastic straws!
Southland Mall's Regal is the biggest Regal I have in my area. (There is about 3-4 that is around me). And this place has great food and service. We went to go see Barbie
Icee machine broken, all of them. No toilet paper in the woman's bathroom, after checking in the 4th stall finally found some, but the toilet was dirty. This place is ruined, time for an upgrade. Customer service is none existing
The staff is very good and very polite but the hygienic conditions of the room leave much to be desired. The seats literally stink of urine all over the room. They should do a deep cleaning because it throws everything on the floor.
Spacious. Good lighting. Nice. And the cinema is large. Comfortable.good sound. There is a room for children's meetings. I saw it beautiful. Since at that time it was decorated with balloons and decorations as for a children's party
We went for barbie. I give the 1 because it smells at pee I can't enjoy the freaking movie with tha smell. I don't think they have the AC on definitely will not recommend this place to go so sad
Place has potential. Staff friendly but theater 6 smells like pee and humidity. Unbearable
