Remnant Cafe reviews
14Me and my wife Lisa Marie truly love this place.we had to move on won't be there anymore. But I had to 5 star that place they do so much for so many! TAMMY IS A MODERN DAY SAINT SHE TRULY IS!
Best place in town to go for the homeless people Jamie is a saint she helps all the people she doesn't judge and you can get fed clothed showered and laundry done it's truly a blessing there's a special place in heaven for her and the people who work for her the volunteers God bless you all
Nice warm and friendly atmosphere. Nice place to go and hang out for a bit if you are homeless and down and out. No matter your circumstances there's no judgment just kind and friendly people offering encouragement and a hand up. There's food, showers, laundry service, and clothing if you need it.
Now this is actually an important service. I can see how some may view it as a perpetuation of and ongoing and growing problem. However it is necessary because society as a whole doesn't think too much outside of their comfort zone. If you've never been in a situation where you would need utilize a service like remnant Cafe then I pity you because you're lacking in life experience. The people that work there and the people that are partaking of some form of its unconditional desire to help a fellow human being are happier than one might think. It's one of those last few places where people can congregate and commune together without having some form of agenda. I think it's a great idea and I made work towards promoting the efforts of those selfless people. I come from a rich family. I had a great childhood with a loving family. I'm not a bad person I have made decisions that were not along the same lines of the decisions that they made. And I found myself in need of the services of remnant Cafe. Guess where the rich family and loving home setting was when I needed it? Eating itself instead of sharing of itself and growing that way that it should. You know what I might do is organize a movement where the homeless are undetectable. Pretty much all they have to do is stop wearing a backpack for carrying a bag around. Cuz if you took a bag away from a lot of those people, they look just like one of you! Oh my God could you imagine if the homeless blended into society without being labeled as a lesser human due to circumstance? Like they could use the same bathroom with you!? Or would be treated with the same amount of respect and not scrutinized for existing!? The horror! How would you measure yourself in society? It's hurting my brain too much I got to go bye
Miss Tammy very nice most of her stuff is nice she was very nice to me around the holidays giving people she helps a lot of people very nice.
Tammy, Kevin, and all the volunteers are awesome! The food is amazing! The clothes are designer quality. I'm the best dressed homeless man in Sarasota, lol, but true.
God bless this place.
Great food and very good clean place to get a hot meal laundry washed and a shower things are getting better organize the people that volunteer there are awesome but way too much drama!
Unbelievably fantastic services for the homeless. Great food served 3 times a day, clothing, showers, laundry, toiletries, phone charging and other amazing services offered as well as church. Lounge area and nap area. They drive a small bus around to pick up people to bring them to the cafe. I was given a tour by the organizer/director of 22 years, Tammy. An amazing woman along with other volunteers who serve 3 meals a day for about 100 people each meal. Various churches donate time and food. Dropped off food with my inlaws who have helped for years. Tammy's take on food provided is serving what she would want to eat. Store bought and homemade items. They want to show these people they matter, people care about them and God loves them all. Really amazing and impressive place. It is connected to the church. Get in touch for food, clothing or financial contributions.
I was here in a professional capacity but the good they do here for the homeless is heart warming
Went there to help Woodland church, who were providing the food for the noon meal. They have a nice operation.
We all had a great time watching the Superbowl thanks to Tammy. Timmy is a great person well in control of everything and has a huge heart. God bless her and all her helpers.
Remnant Cafe serves the underserved in the area. The outreach program is fantastic. They are always looking for donations of laundry detergent, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Save your used carry out containers as clean containers are always welcome there.
It's a blessing it's a place for the underserved and I found it through the harvest House thank you Jesus and I prefer to eat at places that are a blessing.
This is probably the best place in Sarasota. Tammy is an absolute god send. The cafe is where homeless can get a load of laundry done, get a shower, have a hot meal, and it's all donated. A wonderful place, with awesome volunteers. If you are able, please think about donating to the cause.
