Rendezvous, Fort Lauderdale FL

Location was lovely, food was delicious but service was slacking. Wait staff was nice enough but didn't bring ketchup when we ordered fries, a spoon when we ordered pasta and the appetizer came after the entree's.

Good food, nice view, good service. Very noisy. Situated on a canal with a view of the yachts parking in front. Good place to eat.

Been here twice. Found it the last time we were in Fr. Lauderdale and now it's one of our must go-tos!

Today I celebrated my birthday here at the Rendezvous Bar and Grill. I ordered the Lobster and Shrimp Linguine, my Godmother order the Lobster Tail and my daughter had the Calamari. Everything was absolutely delicious. The Garlic Bread was equally awesome. We will definitely return and I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful experience! We showed up not realizing we needed a reservation. We could have been seated immediately inside, but, we had our hearts set on sitting outside to enjoy the view. We were told it would be about 30 minutes which we were fine with. But, in less than 5 minutes we were seated. Our table was over in a corner away from the best views, but we were also fine with that. Then, in just a few minutes, a table emptied closer to the front of the deck, and our server moved us over there. Our food was delcious! We had the smoked fish dip and calamari for appetizers and then we had fish tacos, shrimp po'boy and the fried shrimp dinner. We were thrilled with all the food and the amazing service!

I was very disappointed with the management (Shane). This particular evening started out great with our server Garrett. We ordered mussels and a crab cake as an appetizer. Once the food was delivered we were ready to dive in. Only to our surprise the crab cake taste was still frozen like and the mussels were really small and had a sour smell. We brought it to our server and he called the manager over. Here is when things went downhill. After explaining our concern with Shane he immediately took defense. But it gets better. Shane never took accountability, offered an apology, or asked if we would prefer something different. Instead he, said “okay, our food isn’t frozen and you’re not getting a refund.then says our food is prepared 2 days in advance”. Hmmmm okay but you just said your food isn’t frozen.whatever. Next, he grabs my fork, pickup a mussel and smells it. Classless act. Never in my years of fine dining or regular dining have I ever experienced this! Not only did he smell it but he walked towards the water and threw the mussel into the bay. At this point I was appalled. I responded “you have to be f**king kidding me Shane. He threaten to call the police, told me I’m not welcomed there anymore and he’s the owner and can do as he please. The disrespect. I’ve never felt discriminated against until meeting Shane. I’m African American and I’m usually it sensitive to people’s behavior but Shane’s behavior and attitude was mind boggling. After attempting to reason with him there was no point. I told him I actually know the owner Bruce Armstrong (he was as surprised I knew the name and will let him know how dissatisfied we was. I can go on and on but I’m done and will never return again!

Nice nautical Hideaway the food is great good chicken wings good hamburgers great bartenders you could sit inside outside nice view of the yachts and water good parking

Great food and a good atmosphere. The manager on duty got us in rite away even though we were early for our reservation. We will be coming back forsure!

I forgot to post my meal due to the vibe that I was experiencing in this AMAZING restaurant, the waitress was so professional and due to this been our 1st time we loved enjoy the environment. The food was delicious

I took my 4 year old daughter as my date for a quick bite. The scenery was beautiful, love music from a soulful gentleman and a prompt and sweet server, she was a doll! Loved it! Ps. The bacon wrapped scallops were amazing!

Had a salad and it was made on top of another salad, and how I know is there was another salad dressing on the bottom of the salad.nice atmosphere, bad service, and attitude from waitresses, and as you might have guessed disgusting

Great food. Chilean sea bass was delicious. Went here on a rainy Father's Day and sat inside. Outside deck overlooks the marina.

One of the specials: 30.00 Risotto, was described as THREE SHRIMP n THREE SCALLOPS. I didnt want to complain about only TWO each. And my son couldn't even finish the Basil Hayden cocktail. Cool place though!

Great food. The server Linda was ok, but not that good. Never got a refill on my water, had to steal some from my wife. Music was very loud and the singer was not very good. Old music at that. With all that said, the food more than made up for it. The steak saytay and shrimp is Awesome.

Had a good lunch with the family here. The atmosphere is quiet and the food is okay. The service was good as well. If your looking for a place to relax in the area with a water view this might be your place. Food is a bit on the expensive side.

This place was awful. The prices are way to high and the food was not very good. I got the conch fritters and they were burnt. The fritters were also very hard and crunchy in texture. I have had conch before and it is very good but not like at this place. The wait staff was rude. The sign told us to seat our selves we did and picked a table near the water. We were told to move because there was 2 of us and that table was for four people. He seated us in front of a tree, blocking the view. I told the waiter we didnt want to sit there but he didnt care. Also this tree table was a table for 4 people too. Just totally rude. If you do go there please check your cups and silverware, mine were filthy with a leaf from someones salad on it still. I am only giving this place a 1 star so that you all can see my review. However i wouldn't even give them a 0 I would give them negative stars if this was an option.

Great food, fun atmosphere, service was average. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and will return.

Had the Grouper for lunch Friday. Amazing. Fresh Fresh Fresh. Love It!
Staff here are always friendly and welcoming.
A real gem. Great local secret.

Jambalaya and seafood fettuccini was good, fried shrimp were ok. Our waitress seemed to be in a hurry and bothered every time we asked for something. Overall nice ambience, beautiful views.
