Rick's on the River, Tampa FL

Our waitress was rude and service was horrible but oysters were delicious but our drinks were watered down had to have waitress remake them twice and it took a hour for or fish sandwich to come out horrible service!

Great area on the river, foods good, or experience is that service is the weak link - just go with reasonable expectations.

Your food should be one folks talking about up river. My bill for food was $43.00 not bad if I enjoyed it. Your
little freezer dry Hot Wings and I do mean little. Please get larger wings.
Your Devil Crabs was $6.99 and looked $3.99. Stop it. I'm retiring in one week. You my place to come for relaxed good people.

Once you've seen the place, you know what to expect. Unfortunately, they fall well short of even those lowered expectactions.

I do love Rick's on the River.but HEADS UP DOG OWNERS.especially if you are coming in or leaving via boat with your furry friend, be prepared to skip Rick's for any snacks or drinks as your FURRY FRIENDS ARE NOT WELCOME! I've been a loyal customer for years. One nice sunny day I came with a friend with a 2lb tiny new pup in a very small soft-sided carrier like a large purse. We went to the patio to the furthest point from any other guests (although at this time of day the place was virtually empty) and sat for about a minute before the waitress rushed up and informed us we were not welcome with the puppy. We politely said thank you and went to Ella's in Seminole Heights. Much better food and much smaller outdoor area with no water nearby, but at least we were welcomed.

Greasy bar food that is terrible. I sat for close to 20minutes before someone came to take a drink order and give me a menus. Tables outside are extremely uncomfortable.

The name describes the setting perfectly. Great location on the river. Live entertainment was good. Food was good. Setting was spectacular. We sat outside and had a great time. We will be back next time we visit Tampa.

Service was slow, food was just ok. People go there to drink and not for the food. Being on the river was nice.

Really good food. Cool setup to let servers know when they're needed. Cool live music. Not a bad proce either

Large bar and grill. Outside seatinh right on the water. Typical Tampa prices. They do serve oysters on the half shell.

Rick's is a great Tampa local hang out that welcomes new faces. The service is outstanding and warm. The best oysters around. Come by boat or land and enjoy Rick's On The River.

We were part of an annual Dragon Boat mini race, for the second time. Filled the indoor and outdoor tables again. The service was flawless and the food was fantastic as it was before. Repeat performance, Bravo!

Great service. Dine in or out looking at the river. Two bars. Deviled Crab are a must! Burger was HUGE! Grouper nuggets were yummy too!

Laura lee was our waitress she was rude to our questions about what was in certain dishes she must have had friends at the next table over because she spent most if her time chatting with them when my wife asked for some more soda she acted like we were putting her out. Our family will never eat there again

Love having a place to enjoy some simple food and drinks on the river. Great views of downtown Tampa and boats

This is a great place to go for a business meeting to take your family it's very family-oriented you got to have cocktails and great food you can eat inside or outside on their patio and straight service Great staff very friendly family-oriented all around great place to go it's right on the river highly recommended

Friendly waitress, wings were fried well. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice view. Prices are affordable. The cajun fries have excellent flavor! Four starts because (1) I had to send my frozen Miami Vice back. Too much ice was in it; (2) There's a. 25¢ charge for in your water. Overall it was a great experience.

Good food, good service, good view. We sat down just as the band - which also sounded pretty good - was wrapping up, around 7: 30ish. Our group had fried oysters, shrimp po boy, fish wrap, fried catfish, and grilled chicken sandwich. All were good - not the best ever, but good - and all were around $10 each. We will probably be back if we take a boat out from the marina there again, which was also a fun sightseeing ride downtown.

1. The view is great, 2.the staff tries hard. When I arrived I saw a waitress with a spraybottle dousing fresh oysters (assume with salt water). Ordered the oysters and they were predictably dry and bad-tasting. Left for another oyster establishment for a reality check. Rick's oysters were bad. It didn't have to be that way: (

Very friendly staff and the food was excellent. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and we sat outside under the fans. The oysters were $23 a dozen which seems to be market price for the area. They were much better than other oyster places on the bay side of town.the restaurant is not located in the best parts of town, so do not get nervous if you ride share in. There is a place to pull your boat up if you are coming by water.
